I stopped in here pretty late at night, shortly before they closed. I was looking for ingredients to make a particular salad, and not only found the napa cabbage I needed, but also the imitation crab I wanted. I also picked up some bakery cookies (chocolate chip, soft pumpkin) and a bottled water. I was going to this store for years but yesterday was surprise for me just 1 counter open around noon and only one person helping self check out including my self so many seniors go to this store and like to go thru the cashier's but the one lady was rude to help and the cashier at self check out was the rudest when a older gentleman asked him to call additional cashier's because atleast 6 people were waiting in line with full carts of groceries at the only cashier open management should train the employees more respect towards the elderly customers waiting in long lines and when asked to open more register they rudely answered we don't have any one available and even when they call for backup the person at the back office can be heard loud why are you calling me when you know we don't have any one here Bad customer service read more

I love shopping at Fry's once I'm actually inside, but getting a cart has become a huge hassle. The indoor bay is almost always empty, and the outdoor corrals aren't any better. Every trip lately involves "scrambling" to grab a cart from a customer who is just leaving the store. It's a frustrating way to start a shopping trip--please get more carts back into rotation! read more

A clean & organized store with helpful employees. So helpful as I was in line for 5 minutes with Deborah the Cashier who was helping me out with all things digital coupons, rewards card & etc. Kudos to the patient customer behind me as she was taking notes too. The store offers a good variety of healthy & plant based options along with a huge inventory of wine, spirits & wellness products. I must say I was surprised by the freshness of the Sushi as I don't eat store bought. Yet the Cali Roll & Inari was impressive. The Sushi Team are welcoming & accommodating. Worst experience ever!!! I live in the vicinity of 2 other Fry's Stores. I went to knock out some sale shopping today. I do all my sales items stopping to make sure everything is clipped. I arrived at the register and the cashier John is ringing up the order in front of me. He is all friendly with the couple who is not my ethnicity (think it might be a factor). He and the guy talk about the various cars on the customers shirt. He doesn't speak just starts ringing the order tells me my total and I say something is off. He say What in the grilling loud snap like I'm a dog or a child. I paused trying to be nice but the body language and behavior said stop. I told the bag clerk take everything out my basket. I said John I have your WHAT and headed to customer service to speak with the manager Vanessa. I don't even recall an apology in the conversation with her about this horrible cashier John. She did say have a nice day. I will be following more with fry's store management because the experience was the worst. I drive a small distance than other Fry's near me because that store is usually better maintained. read more

Fry's at 20th St. and Highland. I love the pick-up service. The workers are always friendly, and it's nice when they remember me. This location is rarely out of stock for the groceries I want. Also, they go out of their way to accept the paper coupons I bring. Pricing is so much better than Whole Foods or Trader Joe's across the street. Liquor is only slightly pricier than Total Wine, which is also across the street. read more

Ok so I have been getting the sushi at Frys for the last two years and the amount of rice you get on a 6 piece nigiri for instance gets bigger while the amount of fish gets smaller and smaller. You can almost see through it it's so thin. I don't know if they are all like this now but the sushi kiosk in the Frys on McDowell in Scottsdale is ridiculous. I mean do they think the customer doesn't realize what they are doing. The price keeps going up but the amount you get keeps getting smaller. This is my store for groceries , and I like it, but it could certainly use plenty of improvements. The Deli is a nightmare. Slowest people who give zero cares work there. Yesterday, my wife asked for a pound of Salami sliced "very thin". Dude did not make any adjustments to the slicer and started carving. Very thick slices. We just looked at each other because we don't normally complain, even when we're as disappointed as we were with this lack of service. At about .65 pounds, he decided to help a coworker. It took 4 minutes. He went back to finish and we told him that was enough, we didn't need any more. Bagging at checkout is also lagging. Oftentimes, we are left to do it ourselves. Customer service is something to train your managers in so they can pass it along. read more

Most times self check out register's do not compute digital coupons correctly,and instead of making it right they act like your trying to cheat them. It's sad how far this location has fallen. Every encounter I've had since the renovation a few years back from management to front line employees is falling further and further behind. This is the 3rd time I return the deli turkey meat. It has a thick, slimy film to it. Gross!!! The store manager was nice enough to let me swap it out for the packaged turkey. She said the turkey should not be that way so she pulled them off the shelf. I gave up trying to purchase the deli meats though I do miss the turkey they used to sell. Could anyone explain why it was slimy? It didn't have a terrible odor yet it did smell different. read more

Normally, I always really enjoy this Frys, but not last night. My first stop was the Deli counter it was only just before 6 pm. The gentleman behind the counter informed me that he would be closing soon. Having actually worked deli before, I asked if he had already taken down his slicers? I understand what a pain that is. He said no, they were still open. So I asked him for a half pound of some cheese. As he was cutting, I had to listen to numerous comments from him about how inconvenienced I was making him. When I got home, I discovered it wasn't even the type of cheese I had ordered. I understand that a remodel is happening. That being said, aisles were often impassable as unstocked groceries lay on the floor and stocking carts left unattended in the aisles. Halfway into my shopping, it seemed the AC was struggling. Other shoppers I spoke to mentioned the same. I've never been soaked with sweat just shopping before. Very dissapointed to see an athletic able bodied young man take the handicapped motor cart and ride it around the store while staff saw and did nothing. I'm pretty sure an older or handicapped person could have really used it. Then, over the PA, it was announced, " We are running out of bags. Sorry for the inconvenience. " The final icing on the cake was when I was checking out. The bagging assistant that was at the checkout line i was in went to the next closed lane next to fiddle with bags. As the checker scanned my items, she kept staring impatiently at me, waiting for me to start bagging my items, glaring at me. I am a disabled veteran. My left hand is held together with surgical steel. In addition, I suffer from aquite painful Rheumatological condition I acquired from toxic exposure in the Middle East. At times, just shopping is a task. I honestly don't feel the need to have to explain this to someone who wants me to do their job. So Frys, I hope you will excuse me for not jumping to do the job someone is already getting paid to do. Not sure if this location is under new management or what? All in all, it was an extremely uncomfortable, insulting experience. Do better. read more

Hanging out downtown today with a friend and needed a few snacks for the day. This location is nearby and easy to get to. Parking lot is good size and the location itself clean and organized. The Frys has been remodeled, and there are quite a bit of options here. They do sell dry ice, which can be challenging to find. I needed some during a time when my fridge wasn't functioning. This Frys doesn't have the selection like the one on Shea & Tatum but is still pretty good. This one is always crowded, likely due to the location. read more

I was in Fry's on Willow Creek , Prescott AZ on Saturday evening. I overheard a customer talking to an employee...manager?, she was caring a cash tray. They were disagreeing but not yelling. All of a sudden the employee yells to the woman, "Get the F... out of MY store!!!!!"..but she said the complete word!!!!!! Really??? Fry's!!!! That is who you trust with your store name ????? She was also threatening to call the police...???? REALLY???? over a refund?? There is NEVER any reason to go that far. Young and inexperienced. I grabbed my stuff and got out...but I did see the employee...her name badge started with an "R" (didn't get it all) she was slight build, she had EXTREME drawn on eyebrows and was about in her 30's. I love this store and it is super convenient to stop over after I workout at my gym. I walk from Orangetheory because like others have mentioned, the parking is horrendous. The pick-up grocery door is way too close and intrudes the pedestrian walkway, but everyone seems to be polite about moving out of the way. My complaint is where the employee smoke area is. It is positioned in the front southeast side of the building, the deli seating looks directly out to the smoke area. This is not only an eye sore but it is super intrusive for non smokers to walk past. I have severe asthma and I welcomed the 20' from building entrance rule. I'm not sure how upper management allows this to happen right in front of their brand new store. The picture below was taken on 3/1, I passed by and there were 4 smokers! Hopefully you can zoom in and see for yourself. Management-please have better accommodations for your employees that smoke. This area is prime real estate in your already congested parking lot. The employees are rude, obnoxious, and lazy. They yell to each other from customer service and cashier stands. The butchers are rude and completely unhelpful. The employees sweeping the floors act like they don't see you. And management is a joke. Such unprofessional staff. Safeway is closer anyway. read more
