Another city, another Trader Joe's! This time, we visited the Trader Joe's in Phoenix, Arizona, and once again, I loved seeing how each Trader Joe's seems to have a little bit of the personality and culture of the area it's in. When we arrived, they had some of their plants outside covered by a tent, which made perfect sense given the Phoenix heat. Inside, the layout was pretty similar to the other Trader Joe's I've visited, but I did notice something different about shopping in a bigger city. At our Trader Joe's back home, we never need anyone directing traffic at checkout, but at the last couple of Trader Joe's I've visited in larger cities, they've had employees helping direct the line because it can get pretty long. The good news is that even when the line looks intimidating, it moves incredibly quickly. I was specifically looking for the chocolate sardines--I had seen them before and really wanted to find them. I couldn't locate them anywhere, but as we were checking out, I mentioned it. A woman immediately called someone over to help, and he came back with them before we had even finished checking out! Now THAT is customer service! Our cashier, Joey, was also super friendly. He chatted with us while we checked out and even told us about their partnership with a neighboring grocery store. I always appreciate employees who are willing to take a minute to chat and make the experience feel more personal. One of my favorite things about visiting Trader Joe's in different cities is that it still feels familiar. You can walk in somewhere hundreds of miles from home and immediately recognize your favorite snacks and products. At the same time, you get to see little differences based on the location and the people who shop there. And, of course, there are the samples! Who doesn't love a Trader Joe's sample? Overall, another great Trader Joe's experience. It's always fun to visit one in a new city, see what's different, stock up on familiar favorites, and maybe discover something new along the way. Yes. Did the cashier look me in the eye and say literally anything helpful? No. I had to learn through social media that these innocent-looking little worms have allegedly sent people into emergency negotiations with their digestive systems. So now my bag of sweet-and-sour gummy worms remains sealed because I, for one, prefer my organ systems unchallenged. No warning. No, "Hey maybe don't eat these before a road trip." Just, "that'll be $3.99." One serving of these gummy worms, eight pieces, has 14g of fiber. That's 50% of your daily value! The only warning on the front of the bag is a cute little worm declaring that the gummy worms are, "not a low calorie food." At least the Trader Joe's, "Just a Handful of Pitted Salted Manzanilla Olives" for $0.99 were good. But the amount of olives I eat in one sitting, I would need the Costco size container. read more

Was in the area last Sunday so stopped in around 2PM as I haven't been to this location and I love Trader Joe's fun atmosphere. It's smaller in size than my usual location but very well stocked with their unique foods and products. I was so shocked to see how crazy busy it was. I've never experienced it at a TJ's. Hubby had 2 people bump into him with their carts and the lines to check out were insane! I gave up on buying anything as I was not getting in those lines. It's a very nice store with the usual TJ's food and products but definitely avoid the weekends! read more

The store is always clean and organized. The employees are always helpful and friendly. They always have what I'm looking for whether I'm freezer, fridge, snacks etc. Parking is easy. It does get busy here so I guess that's why they added a cue line for all the registers. Though the times when I forgot something and need to get out of line is interesting. read more

This Trader Joe's is located in the Town & Country outdoor plaza. I was happy that they opened earlier than I thought. I was able to get some more ginger to munch on. I had to run because I got the call to come pick up my husband from surgery. Shared parking lot. read more

Every Trader Joes is full of tasty little treasures. This one is no different. This trip included some first time purchases of: mushroom Chicken, Chicken Egg Rolls, Stuffed Poblano peppers. The egg rolls & mushroom chicken were great. The Poblanos would've been good for me, but they had corn in the stuffing. Being diabetic, I tend to avoid corn. Because of that, I think I've lost the taste for it altogether. I still have a few things in my freezer that I have not yet tasted, but I'll update this review when that happens. I did not interact with any staff except the cashier & bagboy and they were both nice and friendly. I'd return to this location again and recommend it to others. read more

Of course; they have an amazing wine selection at reasonable prices as well as there are a few food items that we crave from time to time like their Kung Pao chicken and they're halibut fillets And one of the best things? This is the only Trader Joe's I like because it seems to be the most organized and stocked. There's a clear flow of the floor plan that some people just GET. SOME OF YOU PATRONS NEED TO KNOW THE FLOWERS IS STOP NUMBER ONE. some people dart all around and hit you with their cart. Jesus Christ. Bring back the Covid arrows on the floor. Anywho I love the body butters, the frozen fruits and veggies, the seasonal items especially during holidays and fall, and any snacks I can find but not the spicy taki imitation because they're so spicy. I hurt my lip on these husband couldn't kiss me for a week. Anywho your workers are very nice maybe too nice sometimes I just wanna pay and go but it's nice they ask about my family and my day! Bring your own bags people because the handles on their bags are not sturdy so they have to double bag which takes them extra time I'm sure the workers would appreciate if you would just buy a bag or bring your own bag for the love of god. Funny how I never step into Trader Joe's in CA but I've been to so many throughout AZ whenever we are in town. They have the freshest gorgeous flowers compared to Wholefoods, Fry's or Costco. Out of all the TJ in Phoenix, this location is by far my favorite for flowers. Their wide selection is organized and fair prices. I especially love their wall of orchids. Last month we wanted certain colors for Gladiolus and we called in advanced to reserve a box. The box came in multi colors and they don't have control over what colors but we were able to select what we wanted instead of the ones on display. Same with roses. Parking is always crowded with Wholefoods and LA fitness next door. read more

I stopped here during a lunch break. Really great selection of fresh flowers, as well as a good selection of fresh produce. Meats, dairy, frozen foods, and a passel of non-perishable pantry items. Store was clean, well lit, well stocked and very busy. A little hard to navigate through all the customers! :) I love how they have a little sample station too, featuring a couple of products. Such a cute Trader Joe's! It's a little smaller than other ones but typically has everything in stock - I've had my gluten free everything bagel and gluten free pizza dough be out of stock before, which was very sad. Going earlier in the morning would help. This place gets veryyyy busy after work and on the weekends and I avoid those times at all costs... the parking lot is insane. Love all the TJ's products, they've mastered their marketing approach lol. It's a very clean store with friendly staff! read more

This is probably my favorite Trader Joes in the valley from an overall options and location standpoint. THough this one is almost always quite busy, they have an awesome selection and always seem to be extra stocked with flowers, plants and unlike some of the otehr location in the valley, also have hard liquor. The beer and wine selection is equally as great as other TJ's, but the the TJ's brand whiskey, tequila and what not are such a great affordable house option to have on stock. In addition, the location is great as they are in an area with a lot of other shops, so I find myself being able to hit a few spots on my list at once. Parking can be a bit chaotic, but that's to be suspected in the Biltmore area. read more

I was shopping with my newborn and my two-year-old, using an in-line double stroller. While checking out and completing my payment, a male employee instructed me to move my stroller, told me to hurry up, and said I needed to get out of the way. The interaction felt dismissive and unkind, particularly given the circumstances. At no point was help offered with my bags or any consideration shown for navigating the checkout process with two very young children. I left the store feeling disheartened. Trader Joe's has always been a place I associate with friendliness, patience, and community, which made this interaction especially disappointing. Mothers--and all caregivers--deserve to be treated with respect and empathy, especially in public spaces where managing children and errands can already be challenging. 10-28-24 I've been going to Trader Joe's when I need specific items like pitted dates (not shown here) and other items. This time I bought chocolates. The staff and service have been consistent. The selection is huge and you'll find their Trader Joe brands as good as the upscale brands. They got unique items for the gourmet food lovers and party hosts. You don't need to spend lots of money to impress. You just need this place to make your party a huge success. Just ask the smiling people that shop here. read more

I come to this location occasionally, since it's between home and work. The parking lot is awkward though, as with most TJ's parking lots. The store itself is also small, smaller than the average TJ's, and its always very busy, even during the week. But of course, everyone was very nice and friendly. They have SOOO many fun and interesting snacks as well as your usual grocery items. Pretty normal experience. I'll probably come back here again when I'm in the area or want to try a new food item I saw online. read more

This is a moderately sized location with a great stock and selection. I found a few cashiers have a chip on their shoulder. It can be overlooked as I live for all things Trader Joe's. I've been shopping at this store for years... Today I had the miss fortune of meeting the manager or maybe assistant manager, and his horrible cashier!!! They were Both two of the rudest people I have encountered in a very long time!!! I told them both I was having a really bad day and just wanted to pay for my items and get the heck out of the Frikken store. It was as if they had a word quota. They would not stop talking in their condescending tone. What a joke!!! What a waste of employees... they belong away from the customers. One of the biggest Trader Joe's I've been to and probably the busiest. My aunt and I walked in on Labor Day afternoon and it was crazy busy. There were people every where and the lines were so long. We got in, grabbed a snack and luckily there was a 15 item or less line. We were able to get in and out but I'm not sure about the residents who were doing their weekly shopping. read more

A friend and I just stopped in at this Trader Joe's today. It is pumpkin season after all. We also were celebrating. I had been to my oncologist earlier and got the wonderful news that my surgery a few weeks ago went very well and all my cancer is gone. I was also told that there was a 95% chance of remaining cancer free. The cashier was very friendly and talkative. She asked us about our day and we told her my great news. She then whispered something to another young man who worked there. A few minutes later, he returned and they both presented me with a lovely bunch of flowers! I am still surprised and thrilled at the kindness these two wonderful young people showed me. Of course, I teared up. It was so very kind and considerate. I've always loved shopping at Trader Joe's. Today made my experience even more special and wonderful. I wish I knew their names, but if they read this, I want them to know how much their gift meant to me! It was truly special! I am a Trader Joe's lifer. I've been going there for longer than I can remember and although I tend to hit them up for seasonal items, you can catch me there anytime of the year. Christmas is my favorite holiday to hit them up though. They have plentiful poinsettias in every size and color! I make sure to get their mini 2" pot with glitter for all my customers. I shop no where but traders joes ! My store. I bought the frozen dark chicken with teriyaki/barbecue sauce. First bite was. Hummm. Then each bite was like having a bone effect, not chewable. (Hock joint). Flavor was good, just couldn't chew or swallow, wanting to give my rating, took it back and explained my experience. Wow, got a refund but was told he/she bought it every day and had for lunch they loved it. ?? They sold 1000's bag every day, and I got the one bag that had the leg joint in bag. Bought chicken salad on Saturday. Didn't realize it expired on Monday. Made a sandwich with it on Tuesday and got extreme food poisoning. I should have double checked the expiration date but I figured TJ's would have that under control with as many staff members they have restocking. This location is also small and packed all of the time. Sucks they had groceries out that expired in 2 days. Didn't make for a fun couple of days for me. read more
