I found a "healthy" ice cream here that was reasonably priced. I think if I'm ever back here, it'll be something I'll look for. It is avocado based. Ever since the diabetes kicked in, ice cream is one of the things I've missed. Since it is avo based, it works for lactose intolerant people as well. There are a lot of good looking products. Unfortunately, most are out of my price range. There are end caps with clearance items, though, so those things are within reach sometimes. When I went, it was a whole lot of supplements, but sadly, none of the ones I needed. I will be back, though, because I saw a few things I'd like to try when I'm feeling like splurging. Sidenote: the listed hours of operation are real. I checked their website to see if it was possibly a typo. Nope, all correct. read more

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Danielle the assistant manager. We were checking out and as we typically do, we were putting in our phone number so that we could get points. She reminded us that we should actually download the app because there could possibly be even more promotions. She was so patient and professional while she waited for us to download the app and check us out. Because of her reminding us to do this, she saved us a lot of money and also led my wife and I to want to come back more and get some other items that needed to be refrigerated but that we wouldn't be able to bring home right away. It's Customer Service such as this that keeps us coming back to you over and over again! Please make sure that Danielle is not only recognized but richly rewarded for her amazing service! read more

Although you might assume it's in a rough area of town. It is but it's not. The store itself inside is clean and staff are welcoming just like you'd expect from all natural grocers. Prices weren't hiked up. They had a great variety of things in the store as well. Only reason for it not being 5 stars is cashier at the end was rude read more

This was my first time visiting this location and it was a pleasant experience. I didn't have any issues finding the one item I needed. I was also thankful the array of liquid Stevia were in stock since that's what I came in for during my visit. I also had a nice experience at the check out and talking to the cashier for a bit. read more

Very nice. The meat here is eligible for raw consumption and they offer nice alternatives for raw milk and raw kefir. They also have raw unsalted butter and raw cheeses. Becoming primal with this store ;P read more

Very nice experience and great pricing Plenty to choose from and great customer service all types of tasty options including vegan foods as well and many hard to find vegetarian foods as well as all organic vegetables and fruits a bit of something for everyone read more

I've been going to this place for a long time. I love their good deals on everything. It's worth it when you find items in the clearance section. They got restrooms here too. I've bought chocolates, cookies, loose leaf teas, chips, dairy products and more. read more

Natural Grocers - Bratwurst - Grocery Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

First time coming here, wanted to casually grab some food since I was in the area. Fair selection of healthy grocery options and snacks. Prices are absolutely expensive though and I wish some selections were featured that I've seen at other Natural Grocer stores. The area around this place was really sketchy with characters in cars watching me go to my car and homeless people lurking around at you around the store watching you go in and waiting to get your attention on the way out. read more

Just got hung up on then on hold for ever and hung up on again and like my latest experience at the scottsdale location, natural grocers seems to literally be trying to go out of business read more

Fave grocery store, it's therapeutic for me to come here. Great choices and knowledgeable staff. Sooo good read more

I visit this location due to my client's office & experience the same great customer service, prices & huge inventory for both plant-based & meat eaters. In addition to weekly email flyers, you catch great sales on food, ready-to-go products, bulk items & supplements. To support the Green initiative, bring your recyclable bags or use their complimentary boxes. One of the better Rewards programs in my opinion as they also offer various free promotional items. read more

While on my vegan baking journey this store has EVERYTHING you would need. Ground Flaxseed is a must.

I shopped at the Indian School store. Good produce and shelf stable products to buy. Workers could use some training. Last couple of visits I felt like I was bothering them. Looking for items or to even checking out. It's not a specific thing they are not as friendly as I expected. I wrote the company with my concern, with no response. I will go other places to buy my organic products. read more

This is truly my go to store for all of my needs. Staff is always friendly, smiling and happy to assist. It's always a pleasure to shop here. read more

Love this store with all the natural selections. I was looking for a particular product that was only sold here in phoenix. I made an hour drive here and it was definitely worth it to explore this awesome store. read more

This is the equivalent of Whole Foods meets Sprouts, but on a smaller scale. They actually had good prices on organic produce and a a good selection of glisten free and vegan items. Their supplement isles are HUGE- you will find any vitamin/supplement/powder your heart desires. Employees were limited in number, but very nice and welcoming. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. read more

No one has any organic lemons this time of year. Everyone is out. I eat an entire lemon daily, for health reasons. We stopped in, and they had LEMONS! They also had a lot of other good looking organic fruits and vegetables. A lot better looking than our local Sprouts. I was pleasantly surprised. Being our first time here we wandered around al the aisles. They had everything we normally buy organically. They also had a LOT of in store sales, so it is worth checking out in person! My husband and I were talking about chocolate. I love lavender chocolate but it is hard to find now...no I don't like it with blueberries in it. One of the stock clerks heard our conversation and was interested. Lavender chocolate? Sounds so good! We explained it is hard to find, chatted a bit and walked on our way. He tracked us down after finding a bar of Honey Mama's Lavender and Rose truffle bar (kept in the refrigerated section) for me! He really went above and beyond with customer service. I thanked him and he just said, "It's my job!" Totally nice dude. The customers were also polite (IYKYK) and so was the check out clerk. I would recommend this company, for sure. read more

It is good to have a food store where the goods sold were produced with earth-friendliness and sustainability in mind. The refrigerated section takes up one wall of the store, the frozen foods section takes up another wall. There are aisles for packaged, canned, and bottled groceries, beauty and cosmetic products, vitamins and supplements, and gift items. They also have a reverse osmosis water filling station and they sell PBA-free water jugs as well. There is a fresh produce section and my only grouse here is that the selections for this section are a tad limited. Prices are generally just a bit higher than in most food store chains but that is to be expected for an establishment that puts emphasis on natural and organic products, and these prices are quite good considering the quality of what they sell. read more

A cross between Trader Joe's and sprouts. The prices on a lot of items are less then sale items at Safeway. ( yes I am a one who checkered the prices). I was impressed with the produce, service especially here and prices. Great vegan/vegetarian selection. I have to say I'm a fan. I recommend you try this place out. I think you'll be surprised at the products and prices. Don't get me wrong it's not cheaper but priced reasonably read more

This is like the perfect place to shop for premium, prepackaged goods. The kinds of quick meals lazy, young urban folks can prepare with ease, while avoiding guilt with all the lean, organic, or vegan options. I can pop in and walk out with some hummus, soyrizo, and maybe something from the modest produce section. They're big on supplements as well--many non-food items seem to be a major attraction. Friendly reminder they don't have bags. I've been told they sell reusable bags, but they weren't offered to me, and I would have purchased one. I had to walk out with a cardboard box! Like some kind of commoner! I can look past that though. Anyone can pop in and find multiple items they'd like in just a few minutes. Stop by. read more

Small crowds, Great pricing, Quality ingredients. I will always shop here as long as they are around. I buy the nuts, and dried fruit here in bulk, as well as the spices and the quality is worth every little penny. If you see specialty items grab them because there is a good chance you won't see them again, and I am not kidding. This place rocks! read more

This is my favorite grocery chain. All the produce is organic so you do not have to spend time checking for the organic signs. They also work hard to reduce plastic waste by supplying compostable bags for your produce, either degradable "plastic substitute" or small paper sacks for dry produce such as apples and onions. The bulk section is huge and all items are already packaged which is much more sanitary than scooping into bins and prevents cross contamination if you have food allergies. All of the bulk nuts are refrigerated to increase shelf life and many of the dried softer fruits like apricots and dates, trail mixes and bulk flours (including gluten-free) are also refrigerated. There is an extensive selection of bulk dried beans, rice, oats and other whole grains, berries and fruits, and all the spices that you will ever need. The dairy and dairy substitutes, meat and meet substitute sections are smaller but have good variety and many locally sourced items. The supplement and body care sections are very large with almost a dizzying array of some of the more popular items like protein powders and common supplements such as calcium or multi vitamins. The grab and go area at the front has a large section of juices, kombucha and teas as well as wraps, hummus, vegetarian meals and individual desserts and muffins. I love that they have local products such as the delicious Ethiopian curries from Cafe Lalibela in Tempe. Be sure and bring your own bags, they do not supply plastic shopping bags but you can buy a reusable bag or they provide boxes for free. read more

Awesomeness, I asked if they could get some other special produce items and now they have them regularly! 5 stars all the way!! I do not see how people even shop at the big name organicish stores when they want a bunch of organic stuff! I am always let down at those stores. read more

I shop at both Natural Grocers locations in the area. Indian School is more convenient, however, the next comments are not necessarily attributed to one of the two locations to protect the workers... When you have employees begging you to call corporate because they don't feel safe working at this company, you know something's wrong. Since vaccinations have begun in Arizona, Natural Grocers, who you'd think would be on top of health safety, has taken an abrupt 180 in their policies. They post a sign outside saying masks are mandatory, but they don't do anything to enforce it and in fact, employees have told me their forbidden to require masks inside the store. The result? Many unmasked people shopping inside. I was shopping at Natural Grocers recently (not necessarily this location BTW) when an unmasked man was hunched over his cart, mouth-breathing over the vegetables I wanted to buy. Yes, hunched over to get closer to the fresh vegetables mouth breathing on them. Obviously he didn't care about the people who might come after him who wanted to buy them. Neither does Natural Grocers apparently because they allow it. Again, Natural Grocers, I'm not saying which store this is/was because employees should NOT be penalized for voicing their own health concerns and you shouldn't discipline them for being afraid and asking a customer to complain about your Covid policy to corporate. If I don't see these employees again, I will follow up and call you out for disciplining them. Your own people are AFRAID of catching Covid at work! At least at Whole Foods, someone outside is taking temperatures if someone claims they "can't" wear a mask, otherwise, they're required. Same at Sprouts. I'd rather pay a few pennies more on groceries than deal with someone fogging my vegetables with their breath. read more

I came to check out this store because they carry vegan items that I can't find at my other local stores. They have a huge selection of vegan items as well as other items. My husband spent 30 minutes looking at their incenses! The staff is friendly and the store is well organized and clean! I love that they don't use plastic bags, so bring your own reusable bag! And if you forget you can buy one of theirs or grab a box that they have in the front to put your items in. I will definitely be coming back to stock up on more goodies! read more

I love this place! I do wish they had a slightly bigger selection so I could shop only there but it's definitely worth it to me. Also the staff is super helpful and friendly. Make sure to sigh up for their shopper program to maximize savings. read more

I enjoy this store for the specialty products. They carry tons of vegan items and great supplements. It's pretty pricey but it beats going to Whole Foods. The only downfall is a lot of the employees are unfriendly and/or rude. Especially the tall tattooed guy with curled mustache- did not even say a word to me through the entire transaction just kept yawning and looking out the window. So I just walked off like... uh, am I good to go? I'd shop here way more if the employees were friendly- it makes me anxious just being in there. read more

I'd heard alot about Natural grocers & their unique products. Finally had a chance to check it out recently. It's not a huge store but does have a great variety of products from packaged foods, frozen, fresh fruits/veggies, vitamins, soaps, household products & a pretty sweet selection of microgreen seeds. I recently started growing my own & had been buying online. I found the prices for the seeds very reasonable & bought a few new ones to try. I absolutely LOVE a new product a friend turned me on to "Bitchin sauce"! My favorites are the original, chipotle & pesto. Do yourself a favor & just try one of these delicious sauces. The staff was helpful & friendly when I did need assistance with a few items. I enjoyed the varied amounts of vegan & vegetarian items available, a plus for me as I'm vegetarian! All in all I wish I lived closer to this store as they have alot of products that are hard to find elsewhere. read more

They have a great selection of products, although a slightly smaller produce selection than one might imagine for a natural foods store. I especially love the variety of vegan frozen and refrigerated items. They are often switching things up and adding new products, too. It gives me basically everything Whole Foods can, but at a better price and with a much smaller crowd. It is always so easy to get in and out of this store, and the staff is super nice. read more

This review is strictly based off of the excellent customer service that I received from David. I was looking to see if they had a certain brand of turkey for thanksgiving and he told me that they did but that I would be put on a waitlist to get one. Thankfully, he was able to see that for my preference of bird he was able to locate one more that he would be able to hold for me. I really appreciated his willingness to work with me. It's people like him that truly make a business successful. read more

My go to place for bulk spices, whole grains, eggs, cheese, and organic flours (which are kept refrigerated!). Way better selection than Sprouts and cheaper on a lot of those items. I do wish they had a larger selection of meats and produce, so I still go to Sprouts for them. read more

It's a fine, upscale addition to the neighborhood - but way too upscale for the residents of the nearby modest apartments and the adjacent extended stay motel, and frankly too upscale for me but for the occasional item. My perception was that it was generally extraordinarily expensive - but that may be an unfair comparison to regular grocery prices as opposed to those for organics. Note they carry a selection of supplements, natural soaps and cleansers, and natural health & booty aids including natural makeup in addition to the all organic produce, natural and gluten free this and that. I'm giving it a big 4 stars for quality, cleanliness, attractive interior, and a good selection of not just natural and organic foods, but other natural lifestyle oriented products as well. as convenient location and parking. I'm looking forward to bringing home one of their all natural "free" chickens: They're cage-free, hormone free, free-range. Everything is free except the cost. Regardless of cost, i have a feeling I'd better do that soon: I don't think this place will last. read more

The store workers are amazing, the store is amazing but the management went out the window when the last manager left. The current female store manager is most certainly the reason for the high turnover, each month there is a new worker, no minorities in site but one who seems to be the most confident person in the store. One time the power cut off in the store and the store manager couldn't even finish her job, handed it off to a cashier and disappeared while the store lights were off. Each time I've come into the store I noticed how poor her response is with the employees, unhappy and demeaning. The manager stands on the floor and gossips about her employees, while the produce guy watches the employees, one day I was in the restroom and happen to over hear about a baggy of fentanyl he tried to plant on one of the workers. As a secret shopper I got to see things many people would be floored to know. Disappointed. Disappointed, disappointment! read more

Wow, a great selection of any "natural health" product you might be looking for! The produce is also reasonably priced, even for organic items. Stopped by today to get some probiotics for my newborn, asked an employee while mentioning it was available on Amazon and her dismissiveness because of the word "Amazon" resulted in her not helping me find an alternative product and not helping me find it at another Natural Grocers (an item which is absolutely carried by Natural Grocers). To be an advocate for your employer and anti-Amazon, it would be productive to actually be helpful rather than rude and condescending to your potential customers. Humongous selection of both vitamins and supplements. I've started buying all of my melatonin and daily vitamins here, the prices are competitive and the variety is amazing. This place is a little too pricey to do my everyday shopping, but the things I do buy, you can't find at other places. They have a very unique selection of flavors of hummus and every variety of veggie burger known to man. They also carry Oat-Lay and a gazillion other dairy free beverage options. read more

All hail organic and non gmo foods produce and vitamins! NG has a great and vast array and selection of foods for conscious living. I just moved to the area and i am very grateful for a location here in Phoenix. Ive been here a few times now and always leave with more than i plan on buying. The staff is always super friendly and everyone seems to want to help out with questions about products. Customer service goes a long way and the employees here are great.
