Seoul Market has become my nearest Korean market after moving farther from the larger one in the state. Though it's small, it has most of the things I need! I found all the Korean products I was looking for. The market doesn't have much produce, but the sauces and seasonings are very well-stocked. The man working there was so nice and helpful. I loved my experience and will definitely visit again. read more

First time us going and I won't ever go back again. I stopped by to try many things I've been wanting but a stop a Seoul market change my mind. There is no soul in Seoul market. Business is not striving towards customers service anymore. I'm all about supporting small businesses specially family own. But sometimes small businesses are not community friendly, shoulda cancel my transaction and walk away instead. Customers service in non existent. I really wanted to feel the experience but it wasn't there. We'll definitely try another place within the community. read more

Every once in a while you stumble upon a place and are annoyed with yourself that you didn't find it sooner. That it Seoul Market for me. I was craving some gimbap and a guy at work suggested I come here. It's a true hidden gem. The owner greeted me as I walked up. Inside are rows filled with many sauces, seasonings, snacks, and treats. Freezers and fridges line the store with beverages, frozen foods, and store made banchan. The kimchi cucumbers are insanely addictive. The best find though is a few racks right by the register that hold recently made treats. It is kind of first come first serve but I picked up the gimbap I had been craving. I couldn't even wait for the drive home before I started inhaling it. Prices are really reasonable and it's a great find for central Glendale area. read more

Great Korean market on Dunlap & Olive. Small little market, but don't be fooled these guys have a lot! Seoul Market by far has the best selection of Kimchi than any other Asian Market. My favorite Kimchi is their cucumber kimchi, I wish they had more of the cucumber kimchi in the refrigerator because those are the best (which is why it goes so fast). Seoul Market has all sorts of Korean food items & a vast selection of everything from packaged food, snacks, seasonings, drinks, perishables, rice, appliances, refrigerated items, beauty stuff & even freshly made little snacks they leave out by the counter. Highly recommend checking this place out. Also the staff here are very polite. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Seoul Market is a must to drop by once I'm in town. This would be a weekly stop for us when we were younger. Always fresh dukk, gimbap and banchans. It's pretty much your basic household necessities, plus snacks. So if you're not a strong Korean cook and want easy shit probably not the best place for you. Customer service is always great, no complaints and It's nice to see familiar faces my mother would always chop it up with when I was younger. read more

Every time I went to that side of town, I need to stop by this market. I think they made their Kim chi and all side dishes there, then they distribute to other Asian markets. In addition to Kim chi, I usually get fish cake, squid, rice cake, Kimbap (seaweed rice roll), and other variety of Kim chi/side dishes. Banchan Heaven! I have been in search of good kimchi and banchan or side dishes to compliment my homemade bulgogi. We have found the place! They are all amazing. Fishcake picked with just the right amount of spice with carrots, onions and jalapeno. Black beans in soy are frozen, but they thaw beautifully! Tiny anchovies are salty and taste great with rice porridge or congee. Pickled cucumbers are mildly spicy and so are their bean sprouts. Yum! Yam strips that are served with bibimbap or rice dish! It offers terrific texture. Pickled spicy radish kimchi adds a different crunch. I love the cuttlefish - sweet think strips that taste of the ocean. They are chewy. I can eat this dish by itself. We will be back to try others. read more

This is one of smaller Korean grocery market, but still able to find everything you need. The only thing they don't sell is alcoholic beverages. They specialize in Korean side dishes including various Kimchi and rice cakes. They also cater food for parties. I have to say, they have the best tasting kimchi in AZ as they make it themselves. Most other Asian grocers bring them in from Los Angeles and they don't taste as good. Also, they make rice cakes here. Most rice cakes you see at other grocers will get it from here to sell. I have been coming here for over 10 years now. They changed owners in the past, but the quality of their food hasn't changed. Wish they would open another one near my house. read more

So happy to have this little mom and pop shop in my neighborhood. It's not big or fancy in any sense, but they carry Korean items that are basics and necessities in Korean cooking. From in-house made kimchi (very good, btw) and banchan, instant ramen, frozen fish cakes and dumplings they also carry housewares. Pricing is done with little sticker labels and can be a bit difficult when it comes to their frozen items as some don't have prices. They also make rice cakes and kimbap (ready to eat food) at the front. Found pretty much what I needed after going through a round about in the store and paid quickly. Don't expect too much conversation, though the cashiers rung me up promptly. They charge a small fee if you use your credit card and don't take American Express. Definitely going to be frequently this place a lot more often! read more

Found this cute little place while searching Yelp for Korean grocers. This is a TINY little store that carries both the familiar and new Korean foodstuffs. The aisles are stuffed full of sauces, spices, noodles, Spam and other canned meat and fish items. There's also a small but beautiful selection of soup bowls, dishes, pots and pans. I found two large soup bowls, soup soy sauce, Maesil (expensive everywhere) and frozen dumplings. After making my purchase, I had to do a complete head snap after discovering facial masks for $1 each. If there's one thing I'm a sucker for (aside from kitchen gadgets, notebooks and diaries, makeup) is facial masks. So, I did what any red blooded, weak person would do: I turned right around and bought ten of the assorted masks. In the back of the store, there's a kitchen where they prepare daily, fresh cooked items. I know prices are higher here than at Mekong and even LeeLee's, but it's still a pretty cool place to check out. read more

Nice little hidden gem. I've driven past this place for more than 2 years and never payed attention to it. What led me to go was my craving for Kimchi. I searched and searched for the best kimchee and after vast research i settled on buying it here. Im glad i went because their kimchi is superb. Its delicious, scrumptious and addicting. Im no expert in kimchi but i have tried it in a few restaurants, however it has never been close to the level of how good Seoul Markets kimchi is. $5 for small, $8 for medium and didn't get for the price of the large. I decided on the medium container but i know next time i will go for the something bigger because medium won't last long. The little market has quite a bit of products, all mostly unknown to me. Next time i will try something else along with the kimchi. I do wish they had prices on their refrigerated products. Ps-kimchi will last forever if kept refrigerated read more

I still had my receipt from the previous week's shopping elsewhere so I started wandering around, comparing my list item for item. The difference was significant. The bulk section gives you everything from spices (You can buy just a little of something you don't use often.) and they had some interesting base mixes for things like gravy or hummus. I did pass by all the bulk candy. Inside, the layout was pretty similar to the other Trader Joe's I've visited, but I did notice something different about shopping in a bigger city. At our Trader Joe's back home, we never need anyone directing traffic at checkout, but at the last couple of Trader Joe's I've visited in larger cities, they've had employees helping direct the line because it can get pretty long. The good news is that even when the line looks intimidating, it moves incredibly quickly. I was specifically looking for the chocolate sardines--I had seen them before and really wanted to find them. I couldn't locate them anywhere, but as we were checking out, I mentioned it. A woman immediately called someone over to help, and he came back with them before we had even finished checking out! Now THAT is customer service! Our cashier, Joey, was also super friendly. He chatted with us while we checked out and even told us about their partnership with a neighboring grocery store. I always appreciate employees who are willing to take a minute to chat and make the experience feel more personal. One of my favorite things about visiting Trader Joe's in different cities is that it still feels familiar. You can walk in somewhere hundreds of miles from home and immediately recognize your favorite snacks and products. At the same time, you get to see little differences based on the location and the people who shop there. And, of course, there are the samples! Who doesn't love a Trader Joe's sample? Overall, another great Trader Joe's experience. It's always fun to visit one in a new city, see what's different, stock up on familiar favorites, and maybe discover something new along the way. So now my bag of sweet-and-sour gummy worms remains sealed because I, for one, prefer my organ systems unchallenged. No warning. No, "Hey maybe don't eat these before a road trip." Just, "that'll be $3.99." One serving of these gummy worms, eight pieces, has 14g of fiber. That's 50% of your daily value! The only warning on the front of the bag is a cute little worm declaring that the gummy worms are, "not a low calorie food." At least the Trader Joe's, "Just a Handful of Pitted Salted Manzanilla Olives" for $0.99 were good. But the amount of olives I eat in one sitting, I would need the Costco size container.

They offer an impressive selection of fresh produce, meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, and many other grocery items. There's also a sushi restaurant inside where you can enjoy Happy Hour specials or sit down and have a meal. In addition, they have a pizza counter where you can purchase pizza by the slice, along with sandwiches, desserts, and drinks. We decided to try their flavored lemonades, and they were absolutely delicious and refreshing. Overall, we had a great experience and definitely wish they had more locations throughout the Valley. We look forward to visiting again!

I had one of my fitness clients give me a card to AJS so I thought I'd give them one more shot. It's a $50 gift card & after choosing 4 items one of which was the sole container of arugula, not only was it not able to be used at the point of purchase, but had to use my own money because they couldn't get the card to work. The only offer was to call in and get the value of the card despite the fact that I had a receipt that stated it was $50. It's just nowhere near what it used to be service has gone so far downhill, selection is terrible -picked over-just highly disappointed once again by Raley's.

There's mainly one aisle for the random fun finds like toys, kitchenware, and home stuff, but the freezer section had sooo many options. It's mostly self-checkout with one cashier at the front helping out. I didn't have a quarter for a cart, so I just tossed everything into my insulated bag while shopping and kept it open the whole time so it didn't look suspicious lol. And honestly... the internet was right. I managed to get at least a week's worth of snacks and lunch foods for under $50, which felt kind of unreal. I also did a little research beforehand on the cleaner ingredient options, and there were actually some really good finds. Plus there's plenty of parking outside, which is always a win.

I now get weekly…read moreads for them, and while the doorbuster items are great, I rarely go for the deals as most items are less expensive at Fry's or Safeway. At the same time, this location is closer to me than my nearest Fry's or Safeway, and if I just need a particular item, I may still head over to ALDI. I was there this past week, when I needed a few canned goods quickly for a canned food drive at work as well as some milk for home. I got in and out very quickly. ALDI is known for everyday low prices on quality groceries and home goods. They have fresh meat and seafood, produce, pre-made deli items, baked goods, frozen treats, and more. You can order online for curbside pickup or grocery delivery. You can get a cart to use for a quarter and when you return it, you get your quarter back. They are open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM. They accept payment through credit cards, cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and contactless payment. You can learn more about this particular store at https://info.aldi.us/stores/l/az/phoenix/4553-e-cactus-road/fc34. The store isn't too big but they have the basics. Bring a reusable bag to use or be prepared to pay for plastic bags at the store. Unlike the shopping cart, you won't get money back when you're done using the bags; however, if you have a pet to pick up after, the bags could be useful. I do appreciate the wide aisles as it is easy to navigate other people if it happens to be busy on a given day. But I do recommend also checking out their shopping ads in advance (again in case there are items advertised as on sale or their door busters). While this isn't my usual shopping option, I would still occasionally find myself in ALDI for a pleasant experience.
