Shoutout to Gary and the Duck Donuts team!…read more I usually order Duck Donuts for team meetings on EZ Cater, maybe 3 dozen max at a time with 1-2 coffee buckets. I recently had a very large order and did 45 dozen (540 pieces!!) directly with the store. Gary was very quick to respond and helpful with the flavor reccs/modifications. We did: glazed, french toast, chocolate with chocolate sprinkles, chocolate covered strawberry, strawberry w rainbow sprinkles, and vanilla chocolate swirl. Day of, Gary was on time with the delivery (even with my last minute time change due to another delivery). Everything was accurate, fresh and carefully packaged. Duck donuts was such a hit! My favorite flavor is the French toast. Highly recommend!!

The dough itself could use slight improvement, it was a little dry. The staff was helpful and friendly and let us know the donuts would take about 15min to prepare which was okay with us since it was made fresh. I love the interior with a variety of rubber ducks on the wall you can purchase and a claw machine where I was able to get a boba keychain! Which was pretty cool.

As a dessert, they are definitely light, airy and not too sweet. After trying several flavors, my favorite is still the original, though some of the seasonals, like strawberry swirl, were also nice. I've tried it a couple times and found the cakes to be pretty flavorless. It's essentially layer after layer of thin crêpes and cream, and for me, there just isn't enough flavor or excitement to justify the price. It almost feels like you're paying for the amount of labor that goes into stacking all those layers together. Personally, I'm not a fan and don't really see what all the hype is about. Definitely not something I'd go out of my way for again especially with all the bakery options in Orange and LA counties.

Their flavors are usually more subtle and aren't punchy, but I honestly love that over a syrup drenched bingsoo. The mochi waffles are also great so pick one up if you still have room for more! This location is a lot less busy than the other one although there can still be a line. I usually only experience a short wait in line and for a table.

Glad to see Hui Lau Shan getting some extra love online recently!…read more I've been coming to Hui Lau Shan since it first opened around 2019 and it is one of my favorite dessert spots of all time. The chain is very consistent in it's items and I've never had a bad dessert in all the years I've come here! I don't konw how but their mango even during the offseason is some of the best you'll eat. You can literally get a fresh mango from the supermarket and there's a 50/50 chance that Hui Lau Shan's will still be better The staff are very straightforward and do their best to make your order very quickly actually way faster than it was when it first started. Never had a bad moment with them. Theres around four tables inside the shop, but they're almost always full. Thankfully there's plenty of seating outside with umbrellas that you can use rain or shine. Great to come with big or small groups family or friends! Casual, tasty, clean, and modern

*** Credit cards only - no cash establishment ***…read more Hui Lau Shan is a chain dessert shop from Hong Kong (established in the 1960s) and the shop is known for mango-themed desserts. The chain closed several locations in Arcadia and Sawtelle and this Irvine flagship location is the only one left in Southern California. However there are other locations in Northern California, Texas, and Washington. [Parking]: Easy and free parking within the shopping plaza. [Atmosphere]: The shop was super crowded on Sunday afternoon. There were 4-5 indoor tables and they were all taken, but there were plenty of outdoor tables available that meant to be shared by all shopping plaza visitors. [Menu]: The laminated menu highlighted the following items - A4 Mango Chewy Ball, A8 Mango Coconut Noodle, J3 Pomelo & Mango with Sago, and E1 Durian Black Glutinous Rice. There's also a display case of dessert replicas for visitors to see. In addition, A2 Mango Romance is a trio sampler order with Mango Mochi, Crystal Jelly, Ice Cream, and Mango Chewy Ball. *** A7 Mango Sago ($7.95): I liked it - the dessert had a slushy texture and was not overly sweet. Even the spoon had a cute mango design at the tip. *** This is a must-visit shop for mango lovers. Definitely expect a minor wait due to the crowd, but the order was ready in 10 minutes.

Parking can get a little tight in the free parking lot, but we didn't have too much trouble on Sunday afternoon. The interior was very cute and pretty with flowers. They also sell mochi donuts -- this looks like a rebrand Bober Tea shop that's known for their "stir fried" boba. The brown sugar boba in our drinks tasted like the super soft and flavorful boba. My husband and I really loved the boba. But at 100% sweet, the drink was wayyy too sweet that we had to dilute it with water. Next time I would get half sweet. It had a very nice black tea flavor that shone through which is unique from other boba shops.

ALLERGY WARNING!!!THEY DONT ACTUALLY SUBSTITUTE MILK!!!…read more Love this place, wanted to take my mom and sister. My sister has allergies to dairy, eggs, nuts, etc. We asked for a strawberry matcha with oatmilk for my sister (We literally even double checked and told them it was because of allergy warning, and we even asked if there was contamination just in case. They responded that it will just be oatmilk). Me and my mom had the chocolate bowl. We get the drink and bowl. Oat milk was on the receipt. The person who made the drink did whole milk and not oatmilk. Guess whhhaatttt, yea my sister is throwing up like crazy in the bathroom and we genuinely had to go to the ER BECAUSE THEY DIDNT PUT OATMILK. Mind you it was an extra charge up for the milk substitute. They apologized and gave a refund, but seriously... DO NOT COME HERE if you have allergies, they lied straight to our face and didn't bother to own up to it (lying and saying it wasn't on the receipt when I saw with my own two eyes that it was). My sister is in recovery. But could have been completely avoided if they had simply given us the correct order. Mind you now there's hospital costs to be dealt with because we had to rush her to the closest hospital. I'm genuinely so mad about this everyone going here please be careful if you have allergies.
