I was very surprised at the lack of vegetarian menu items considering it's a "farm to table" joint. I had the blta without the b, and it was good. The bread was fresh and the fries crunchy. My husband had a burger, which looked super yummy. I was bummed they didn't have a veggie burger option at all though. All in all it wasn't what I expected but it wasn't bad either. read more

I'm basing my review on the food my companions experienced. They loved it. I did enjoy the truffled homemade chips. So delicious. My brother-in-law's fries were amazing; he always shares fries with me. Also, his burger was so huge, he shared the last quarter of his burger with me. Oddly, my pulled pork sandwich was cold as were the beans. So, I didn't eat them. Planned to take them home and heat them up as I don't do food that is supposed to be hot when it is served cold. However, I forgot them in my niece's car; left them in the baby's car seat when my niece dropped us off at the airport, lol. We are now here for the second time and again it disappoints. My husband got the brisket Mac and cheese. For one, it should be an appetizer not a main course. Not only did he not get enough to eat, the brisket was like jerky. Not tender, moist or flavorful. This is the second time we had to go to another restaurant afterward to get a second meal. However, if you have more than 4 people you'll get put in the adjoining room that has spotlights shining down on you like you're on stage...lame. And it was cold. Service was great - everyone was nice and attentive. Our food was 50/50. The shrimp and grits was amazing (knowing this because we lived in GA for a few years and have some real Southern food to compare it to). The sea bass was very flavorful and we all wished we ordered one of those two dishes. Everything else is not memorable. Like I can't even remember what I ordered because it was not that good. The tomato basil fondue with a rustic grilled cheese bread appetizer was excellent, as was the butter cake dessert. The middle courses were not quite as good. We got some extra bread for the fondue and it was terrible. Instead of toasting the bread, it had black, bitter soot on it that was inedible. My pork shank was over cooked and a little mushy, and it was very salty. The risotto and broccoli rab were fine. My wife's sandwich was very good, but the coating on the fries was too strong, and not to our liking. Simple fries that taste like potatoes would be a nice option. Fork has the potential to be an excellent restaurant, but the execution needs some work. read more

We've eaten here twice and they were accommodating with my allergies! I think they no longer have menu items with peanuts. The food is consistently good. They're also dog friendly with patio seating. The server was very kind and brought a fresh bowl of ice water for the dogs. read more

We had a trout dinner and the fillet mignon, breaded asparagus appetizer, wine and cocktails. It was good. Husband was happy with the trout. The fillet was okay. Very tender but almost too tender. The part I wasn't overly fond of was the amount of the Demi glacé sauce. There was just far too much of it and it overpowered the asparagus and the mashed potatoes were soaked. I know some may like that much but for me after a few bites it's all I could taste. Good service and overall and good experience. They need to lighten up on that sauce! Less is more. read more

The front host wasn't friendly.. you can tell she doesn't do well when things get busy.. which in that line of work you probably should. Never got to try the place.. I called ahead and they said they could fit us in.. when we got there the girl running the show looked at our party and said no. To my husband here for his birthday on April 5th. It was a very good thing that we made reservations because I overheard that they had an hour wait. The place looks very nice and the staff were friendly. I had a raspberry cocktail....correction...I had 2 raspberry cocktails. Delicious! My husband get the short ribs and I got the trout. The short ribs beautifully fell apart and was tender and delicious. My trout was perfectly cooked and I loved that the skin was a little crispy. I switched out the succotash with mashed potatoes as I am not huge into stuff with any kind of bean in it and it was a good decision as it went perfectly with the trout. We finished dinner off with a couple of scoops of Cloverleaf chocolate ice cream and it was so rich and was a great end to our meal. What I love about this place is that they try to use everything as local as possible (i.e cloverleaf creamery). We will definitely be back! read more

We stopped in for dinner to support a local restaurant and tons of local farmers. The wait was about 1.50 which was doable since we heard so many great things about this place on a Thursday night at 8pm. We got seated, and unfortunately the server was not friendly, didn't really remember what we ordered. We waited almost 30 mins for our drinks. Orders two salads and he forgot my husbands second beer until we asked for the check the second time with a crying toddler. He was unapologetic. The food was amazing- yet the service was just unfortunate. We will definitely be back and hopefully the server will be better trained. The food was fantastic! Supporting local businesses, and farmers is the way to go- I love that they hire local, it breaks my heart that the server was not the best. We have lived in the treasure valley several years now and just recently got to try Fork for the first time in February 2024. For people in my tax bracket, this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. I know they have a reputation of being fresh, local ingredients and skillfully made food. Boy did they deliver! I was very impressed by our meal here. We had a mushroom appetizer that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. It was several times of mushrooms in a cream sauce, served on polenta cake and covered in freshly shredded Parmesan cheese. It was so savory and the mushrooms were perfectly cooked- slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We also got fries, asparagus, prime rib, and a steak sandwich. Everything was excellent, came out hot, and the service was exceptional. Some places are not worth the extra money for high end dining- Fork is definitely worth it! I have absolutely fallen in love with this joint. Went out for date night and sat at the bar with no wait. The bartenders were these two cute young men( l cannot remember their names ), but they gave us the best service! These guys definitely know how to make amazing cocktails. We tried 3 different ones and they were all so delicious. The vanilla old fashion and the Te amo tequila were my favorites. For dinner we had the slow brisket Sammy and the spinach & artichoke ravioli which both were !!! Yum yum!! We have been here three times. Great location. Nice, well put together restaurant. Friendly servers. We have tried the asparagus appetizer and the Brussels sprouts. Both outstanding. Unfortunately the main courses have all been terrible. The Urban Burger, kids burger, and the sliders are awful and no seasoning. This is a basic food entree that doesn't take much to make. Absolutely bland. The Crispy Korean Chicken Sammy was mostly fried skin. Again bland. The sauce couldn't even save it. Lastly the Northwest Crispy Chicken salad was... just ok. It's basically chicken salad from Chick-fil-a. Normal downtown restaurant prices for mostly flavorless food. Nice atmospheric but that won't cut it... your food needs drastic improvement. Coming from SF, brunch is HUGE here. Everyone brunches. People wait in line for brunch. It's a big deal here. Unfortunately, they don't serve brunch on the weekdays. No worries. Lunch is good here too. I had a salad and I forget when you leave the CA bay area, portions are always larger. It was a really good salad although I forgot what it was. We also had the huli huli chicken at our table and it was also good. We ate outside and it was rather windy, but didn't feel comfortable eating inside. They had heat lamps on outside, so that helped. I don't know if I'd come back, but it wasn't because it was bad, I just thought it was good, but not like oh I must come back. Waitress took forever to come take our order. Her name started with a K. I ordered an iced tea which never came. We ordered chips and onion dip to start. Decent but chips were too brown, kind of burnt. We had a toddler with us and she asked if we wanted her meal first. We said with ours was okay. We ordered two salads and the bahn mi sandwich. Bahn Mi was horrible, leftover pulled pork does not a bahn mi make. Just awful. Northwest salad was good. The market salad with balsamic tomatoes was not good. The bottom of the salad was soupy with vinegar that overpowered the entire salad. We asked the waitress and she said they must have scooped too much juice from the tomatoes onto the salad. Way too many pickled onions on the salad. She forgot the kids cheeseburger and finally brought it when the rest of us were almost done. Burger was way overcooked and dry, just terrible attention to quality. Despite the soupy salad and children's cheeseburger coming at the end of the meal, forgotten drink, she only offered a dessert coupon for our next visit. Terrible service and bad food. TLDR: Prime Rib and Butter Cake! Yeah, you're here for the butter cake. If anyone says they don't like the cake, they're a liar! (Not really, I'm sure there are some people who just don't like cake!) Everyone expects you to order the butter cake. When I mistakenly told my server/bartender that we were done and to bring the check, he immediately yelled, "That's it? No Dessert? You HAVE to have the butter cake! Everyone who comes here, gets the butter cake!" This sentiment was quickly echoed by the other waitstaff next to the bar. You gotta have the cake! And the cake? It REALLY is to come-for! Everything fits so well. You need the berries to help cut the sweetness of the cake. The cake itself is soooo Moist and sweet. It's not light, but it isn't super dense either. It practically melts in your mouth though. My wife also ordered the Prime Rib, while I ordered the fish. We got funny looks when the server tried to give me the steak instead! Well... I have gout. So I'm not supposed to eat beef. But let me tell you... this prime rib is GOUT-WORTHY. That is the highest praise I can give a steak. Very few slabs of beef are gout-worthy... this one and House of Prime Rib. The beef was sooo tender, and juicy. Medium-rare, it was pink with juuuust a little bit of bloodiness. The edges were also delightfully salty and flavorful. My wife, who isn't a beef eater at all, loved it. I ordered the trout. Two thin filets. It also was cooked well, and the skin had lots of flavor. But, it didn't hold a candle to the prime rib and butter cake. The prices weren't too outrageous either. And our bartender/waiter made an effort to learn our names. He was also super friendly as well. All in all, this place was DEFINITELY a highlight for us! But, you GOTTA TRY THE CAKE! read more

I enjoyed the bacon and eggs dish. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection! The hollandaise sauce that was drizzled on the potatoes was good however I felt the taste would've been complemented with some type of sweetness on the dish. The dish has the savory potatoes and eggs, pork belly bacon but the potatoes were overwhelming in quantity. I would've preferred this dish with less potatoes (11 2" were served) and maybe toast with the incredible sweetness of the homemade strawberry jam they offer! Just saying! I had a side salad to start, which was good, simple... basic... for my meal, the trout with roasted winter succotash. There were two pieces of trout- one was cooked perfectly, and tasted alright... Irving too exciting. The second piece wasn't completely cooked through on the thicker side. The succotash was crunchy. It did not seem as though it was cooked properly/thoroughly. So here's a place that is sourcing 90 %or so of its menu locally! The menu was diverse and interesting for sure ! I highly recommend the Huli Huli Chicken! The whole meal was quite delicious!
