I opted for the double cheeseburger with tomatoes and lettuce along with a side of sweet potato fries. My friends went with a single cheeseburger with tomatoes, lettuce, extra onions, and fries as well as a double cheeseburger. Tomatoes, lettuce, and jalapenos are extra. Amazing smash burgers and some of my favorite fries in the area! The patties are smashed so thin that the edges are beautifully lacey. Fries are like higher quality McDonald's fries. Definitely call ahead to make sure they are not sold out if you're planning to stop by close to their closing hours! It's a really small shop located in a small plaza with very limited parking. It's a two ppl crew so prepare to wait a while for your order. We ordered the Double Cheeseburger with Fries, Fry sauce & BBQ sauce. The burger was really small, but it was very tasty and jammed-packed with flavor and ingredients. Had this one bookmarked for awhile, but put it off for the sole reason that I am seriously over this smashed burger trend in Los Angeles (or is it countrywide?). I've had good ones, bad ones (looking at you Goldburger), and mediocre ones. Most new burger places are smash burgers. It's near impossible to find an old fashioned steakhouse thick burger. That being said, this is one of the all time best smash burgers I've ever had. Located in a small Whittier strip mall, the place seems to be undergoing renovations. As people have said, the interior leaves a lot to be desired. Just two four top tables inside, which have placards taped to them asking you not to sit there unless you have 3 or 4 people during peak hours. Otherwise, there are a few (and I mean maybe four) other tables outside. Not gonna be pleasant outside in summer. I went on a Thursday afternoon, and it was empty except for one other table, so it wasn't a problem for me. There are water stains on the ceiling. The entire counter has been patched up with fresh wood and spackle. It's like they opened while building the place, but they've been open I believe for a couple of years, so I don't know what's going on. Hopefully their appearance one day matches their high ratings and food magazine reviews. This smash burger is rated as one of the best if not the best smash burger in Los Angeles. It deserves better than a grungy hole in the wall with one "Bloodsport" poster (not that there's anything wrong with the JCVD classic). The parking lot is also tiny, and it's one of those tiny lots with incredibly small spaces meant for Smart Cars and Priuses. I don't know what the street parking situation is like. The counter woman was very nice and friendly. Prices are fair. The two guys cooking seem a bit surly, but that's fine. Who cares? Once again, the burger is the star. The bun could be slightly bigger. The burgers hang over each side, making for a messy eat. I think that's supposed to be part of the experience. I'd like to try their patty melt on rye bread and almost did this time. However, the counter gal sold me on their "award-winning" double cheeseburger with grilled onions and their fry sauce. I added some bacon. The thing I must mention, which their counter gal told me was that the fry sauce was like a In-N-Out sauce but 100 times better. I have to honestly agree. Usually, every burger joint in town puts a thousand island spread, but it's always exactly the same. I usually ask for it to be held and just go with ketchup cause I'm so over it. However, their fry sauce tastes absolutely nothing like In-N-Out sauce. It is much more delicate and tastes so much better. I asked for my fries extra crispy/well done, because I saw some people complained about limp fries. Mine were perfectly crispy. They were enough for two to share if you are not too hungry. It was enough for me and my teen. I recommend this place highly. I know they have more locations, but I can't speak for the quality at the others. Been to other locations and I can confirm that this location is the best one so far. I keep coming back food is great the atmosphere is really chill and everyone that works here is helpful and kind. They make every order fast which is good, I would also like to add that they also allow pets to come in and eat with you which is a huge benefit for me and my dog. 10/10 would highly recommend to come eat here. I had to order from a screen and not a person, and the first red flag is that it's overpriced. 40 dollars for 2 burgers a fry and 2 drinks?! When we finally got our food, the order was completely wrong. Received sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, no bacon added to one of the burgers, had pickles on both burgers when we requested no pickles. Was charged for ranch and BBQ sauce when 1. I was given no barbecue sauce and 2. They tell me after bringing the food that they're out of ranch. They forget our drinks. This is such a hidden gem in Whittier! The next time you're in the area don't pass on this location; the food here is very tasty. Their smash burgers are delicious and so flavorful, and their brussels sprouts are some of the best I've ever had! They are located in a small shopping center with limited parking spaces, but parking on the nearby streets is also an option. The inside dining area is small and they also have limited outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. This is a very good smash burger. Thin patties smashed with a great crust. Really enjoyed the burger. I tried the fried and Brussels sprouts. The fries were decent, a good but nothing great. The Brussels sprouts I did not really like. The balsamic glaze was in the sweeter side, and I really would have liked more savory flavor from them. All in all really good burger, but I would probably not go out of my way for it, but if I lived close or was in the area would absolutely go again. With that said I feel like they could do a better job with their fries because that is really all they have. read more

I dont know if this is typical of all locations but the double smash I got at the whittier location was clearly not as good as those I have had in the past. The burger was too salty and the cheese was a little off. Perhaps the employees need to be trained again. I'm so torn about this place! I was so excited to try it out and we were left with a lackluster experience. The place is small, in a corner lot, nothing fancy AT ALL, literally 3 small tables, a set up of napkins, water, condiments in the corner, then your open kitchen and ordering counter. This place fills up quick, lots of foot traffic. I'm sure everyone has been hearing about them and curious to give their smash burger a try. I don't blame them, good for them for gaining this much attention. There was no where to sit at the time we came, no biggie, we got it to go and ate in the car. Whatever. The burgers were good. Not mind blowing and not worth the weird and awkward experience with the cashier girl. I honestly can't even remember the taste now and it's only been 4 hours later. Onion rings were fine, French fries were previously frozen and then deep fried, those were fine too. I just don't think I'd come back. Their weird hours of operation is also another turn off. Only open 12 pm - 3 pm on Sundays. You can hear the frustration in the cooks voice (who I'm assuming is the owner), he is doing the cooking, and also the greeting of customers walking in, and giving wait times. One of his girl staff literally yelled out, "it's going to be a 30 minute wait right now!" As soon as this couple walked in. You can tell by the looks on their faces, they were thrown off and immediately turned off by that greeting, causing them to just walk out. Good because that was such a rude and mean tone to greet new people to your restaurant! I hope that couple enjoyed a really good meal somewhere else with their hard earned money. From what I gather, this place has been open since 2021. The traction it's getting from social media, Yelp, and word of mouth, you would think they'd have made improvements by now - 2024. Missing panel in the ceiling, storage visible in the corner of the restaurant, not enough seating, whack parking, long wait times, not very friendly staff. I don't even think there's a restroom. I paid $22 for a double with jalapeño which were an additional 75 cents not a big deal, loaded fries and can soda. The bun on this burger was so soft, the meat was amazingly tasty. The fry sauce has a little sweet & spice to it man the sauce is oh so good! Biting into the burger was just heaven, a lil of sweet with spice of the sauce and the jalapeños was just amazing. Food was worth every Penny. Load fries were great as well. It's a must try. I'll definitely be back. Burger and fries did not disappoint one bit. The young lady and gentlemen were both super nice and friendly. It's a chill little spot nothing fancy but perfect place to enjoy your food. This was on our radar for a while, and we finally got around to trying it out! Very mom and pop vibes - the location is really random, it's across from a school, no other foods in the plaza, and parking lot is tiny. But the food was delicious. We both got the cheeseburger with grilled onions no pickles with lettuce and tomato. It was so good that my bf ordered another! They use the same potato bun as shake shack, SO good. Their fries area also really good. It reminds me of MCD fries but better. I have read that these must be eaten here, that the fries would not survive the ride home. I have been here before and thought it was pretty good, but too bad they wouldn't serve us again. They were fried, drizzled with balsamic and lemon. So crispy yet so much flavor! I'd come back just for these! Squirt soda and a bottle water. Total came to $70 for 4 of us!!!! So expensive but unfortunately seems like the new normal. Place is super small with very little places to sit and eat at but since it wasn't busy, we had a couple tables to pick from but if you come when it's busy, forget about it. I love a good burger and this one did not disappoint. The best part of the burger was the sauce but it's a delicious burger all around. The fries were also pretty tasty. They have a pretty limited menu and everything we ate was good. There was no wait when we came and it didn't take long to get our food. We chatted with the owner a bit when we got there and he and the other staff were very nice. We ate on one of the few tables outside. It's a small place and inside there were a few more tables for some additional seating but I can imagine seating could easily fill up fast when they're busy. Same with parking.
