Food is really good, it's the service that we got that left us a bit pissed off. Our server had to be flagged down for basics like water refills while server was busy on their phone, instead of checking on patrons. When bill comes I only tip 15% (I didn't want to leave anything more) I then get my receipt asking me to leave additional tip to meet what they expected to be like 22-24% basically suggesting I shorted my server! What a bad thing to add to receipts. Tips are earned not automatic, especially when service fails. I private messaged this place and no response. Amazing! Everything I tried was really good. We ordered the filet mignon Lomo Saltado, Short rib pho, shrimp rolls, lemonade and herbal iced tea. The short rib is huge and fall off the bone. It's so tender! That's gotta be my favorite. Their side of onion is so good. The best I ever had. I could eat it like candy so I had to order more of it of course. I tried the combo pho and mozzy sticks. The pho - the reviews are true. It was one of the best tasting broths I've had in the area. It was just deep and rich and healing. The noodles were tender. The meats were great. I loved the beef belly, yum! Mozzy sticks - I loved the mozzarella was wrapped in wonton type papers and deep fried. Definitely gave a unique twist. The deep fried paper was very delicate with satisfying crunch! The mozzarella was good cheese. They offered two sauces, one being their garlic aioli and another being a sweet chili red sauce. I felt neither of them really worked for me. The garlic was too strong and took over all the flavors. The sweet chili didn't match. I took remaining mozzy sticks home and ate them later but they had become so salty, like the salt concentrated as they got cold or something. Peculiar. I would describe this place as a fusion of Vietnamese, Korean, and Peruvian cuisine. Setting is casual with seating both inside and out. It faces Whittier Blvd so it's easy to find if you are driving along, but cannot see if you enter through the parking lot in the back. It's sandwiched between Starbucks and The Stand. Lomo Saltado was very good, although some of the filet mignon pieces weren't as tender as I expected for medium rare. The flavor was good and meat was well marinated. The co-owners are two of the most kind and genuine people. I had a conversation with one of them, Andrew, about my first experience and the meat smell and we ended up concluding it was probably the filet mignon. In a matter of weeks, they ran multiple taste tests and switched to a completely different brand, and tonight, it was a 5/5. Truly incredible dedication. GARLIC PARMESAN FRIES: 5/5. They fry using tallow, so the texture is insanely crisp on the outside, and pillowy smooth on the inside. LOMO SALTADO: 5/5. So tender, so clean, so flavorful. I love Pho so here I am on a Wednesday night one hour before closing time. Very nice atmosphere with super friendly service. We were seated immediately and offered ice water right away. The beef belly pho is good with lots of noodle already. Free additional noodles is offered with this dish. Service was excellent got seated right away. There was one server and he killed it . Took care of all the tables and the food came out quick . Didn't have to ask for vinegar onions just came with the side of veggies. Soup was nice and flavorful ... soup could have been hotter? I did take some photos and waited so maybe my fault. They did have a special for beef belly pho but I went with the combo bc I love the tendon and other cuts of meat . Got some viet coffee Togo and that was pretty solid as well. Come get the Soupreme Pho! Actually everything here is really good. The dishes and flavors are more creative and flavorful than the typical pho restaurant. Pricing is a little higher than a regular pho restaurant, but it's justified with higher level ingredients and dish creativeness. Plus the portion sizes are legit. Parking here can be a little tight depending on time of day. It's located in a shopping center with 5ish businesses that share the parking lot. Service here is excellent. Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Decent amount of seating inside. We choose to sit outside in their patio area and enjoy the weather. It's a clean and well decorated restaurant. Good for a casual date or get together. I've had many of the dishes and drinks here. Enjoyed everything. My highlight dish would be the Soupreme Pho. Comes with a variety of meats, including and beef bone. The leafs are super tender and flavorful. The pho broth is one of the best I've had. Full of flavor and not salty or overpowering. My favorite pho place of all time. This restaurant is definitely underrated, but I assume it's because it's so new. The soupreme style pho with roasted garlic is a MUST TRY- it just adds so much depth and flavor to the broth. The best part is soup, noodle, and veggies have UNLIMITED REFILLS, and they even have pickled onions. The service has been above and beyond every time we've gone. I'll definitely be back a billion more times. I'll be sad when this place inevitably blows up and I have to wait much longer to get a table, but it'll be well deserved for them. read more
