    Tomyum Fried Rice with Chicken
    Airi G.

I would 100% be a regular here if I lived closer. This small business takes great care and precision in providing quality food, which comes at a price of a longer wait. It's worth it, though, unless you're someone who gets hangry. I ordered the tomyum fried rice with grilled chicken because I've only ever tried it as a soup and I wasn't disappointed by this creative twist. It retained the original aromatic ingredients and the rice was piping hot and fluffy.  I also loved the green curry with skirt steak. It's a hefty portion that will leave you stuffed afterwards, in a good way. There's plenty of vegetables in there and the balance of curry and rice is accurate. There's plenty of tables in the food hall to enjoy your food fres, which I recommend, but you can also easily take it to go.

Overall: 3 stars, food was alright. Service was nice and food came out quickly. Price is relatively high which didn't help with the food not being the best. The Service: Service was nice, the person taking my order was able to answer any questions I had. Food came out in about 10 minutes. Would be nice if there was a buzzer since I had seating further away so I would have to walk back to check on if my food was ready. The Food: Pad Thai w/ BBQ pork - Level 1 spice. I appreciate that they have different spice levels. The Pad Thai seemed overly sauced and too sweet for my taste. It was hard to eat because it felt like too much. The BBQ pork was nice and fatty and complemented the noodles well. Tom Yum Soup - Portion size was rather large - I was a bit thrown off since they asked if I wanted a protein so I chose Tofu and it added an extra $3 to the cost of the soup...The menu wasn't very clear that it was an extra charge. Soup was alright, I wish the tom yum flavor was stronger! Price: Pretty expensive - for the two items I ordered, it came out to be almost $40! The Atmosphere: Locate in Rodeo 72 so it is very busy and bustling. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors so would be good for large groups. Parking: Located in a big shopping center but Rodeo 72 is quite busy so you may have to park a bit further away.

I bought the pad Thai chicken medium spicy, it has a good kick, not to mild or spicy. It's delicious

First time at Kra Pow Thai @ Rodeo 72, and wow -- what a flavorful adventure! I went with the shrimp Pad Thai (medium spicy), and it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly cooked, super fragrant, and had that signature tangy-sweet balance that makes your taste buds do a little happy dance. The shrimp? Huge, crispy, and fresh -- generous portion too, so points for that! Now, the garlic rice... eh, not my favorite of the night. A bit underwhelming compared to the star power of everything else on the plate. But the Thai spicy tater tots totally stole the spotlight -- crispy, crunchy, and with just the right amount of heat. That aioli dipping sauce? Chef's kiss. The menu is calling me back already -- next round, I've got my eye on the garlic skirt steak bowl, a comforting green curry, and maybe a plate of Pad See Ew. If everything's as good as that Pad Thai, I might become a regular here real quick.

I've tried a few places in Rodeo, but honestly never found any real gems, so I hadn't been back for a while. I decided to give this spot a try today since the reviews looked decent, and I ordered the Pad See Ew. The portion was bigger than I expected, and I like that you can choose your spice level. I went with level 3, and since I enjoy spicy food, it was just right for me. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but this turned out to be a great Pad See Ew spot! I'll definitely be coming back.

Pad Kee Mao (with bbq pork), Tom Kha Soup (chicken) and Tom Yum Fried Rice (also w/bbq pork)

We absolutely love Krapow! The Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) is an absolute must!! I get mine with the barbecue pork, and it's so good that I almost can't imagine coming here and not ordering it. The Tom Kha soup is also outstanding. It's a dish that I order virtually every time I have Thai food, and theirs is truly one of the best (if not THE best) I have ever had. This time around, we also tried the Tom Yum Fried Rice, also with barbecue pork. Insane! Another dish we will have trouble not ordering every time! The portions are super generous (big plates for a very reasonable price!), the flavors are authentic, and you can really tell they use fresh, quality ingredients. Even though there are other restaurants at Rodeo 72 we've been wanting to try, it's hard to imagine choosing anywhere else when we know Krapow is there! Could not recommend this spot more!

This is the latest Thai food addition to the West Whittier in 2025 nestled inside the extremely popular Rodeo72. I visited on the day of "Luau and Low Riders" where the management of the establishment showcased local lowrider cars and artists from noon to 10pm, and my favorite go to at Rodeo is definitely the Kra Pow, Karai, and the Spring Roll place across the hall. Thai food is prepared at order, the ingredients are true to origins and the taste is great. Protion is appropriate too, imo. Now finding a seat was probably the hard part today due to the event taking place all day, same goes for parking, but I'm happy to see that a venue that support local businesses is doing well. Kra Pow is definitely a spot to check out for all foodies. Pad Thai is my other favorite here. Noodles are chewy and never crumbled together, flavored to perfection not too heavily oiled.

Food was a bit of a wait, and they were out of a few items by the time we went but what we were able to try was delicious! I had the Thai bbq pork with the garlic rice. The portion was huge and the flavor was amazing! Came with two different sauces but I didn't need them to be honest. We also had the yellow curry shrimp with rice and the flavor and portion was well worth the wait. It was robust, had great spice, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also tried the curry tater tots and calamari and both were perfectly fried. We would come back!

With so many choices at Rodeo 72, it was hard to decide what I wanted to try first. I went with Thai and chose the chicken the pad Thai since I feel like that's a solid choice at any Thai place. The cashier was rushed, but friendly when taking my order. I kinda got the sense that they might have been short staffed, because the other person working was super busy and rushing around too. My food was ready about 15 minutes after ordering. The pad Thai was super sweet, but overall I enjoyed it. I ended up mixing the garlic rice with the pad Thai to help absorb some of the sweetness and sauce, which ended up being perfect. Overall it was a good experience and I'd order from here again, but I'd probably try a different dish.

Hands down my favorite Thai place! I highly recommend ALL of it! By my favorite is the fried shrimp. They make everything to order and food is so fresh & hot when you get it. I can tell that the owners really care about the quality of their food. I love the cute bear mascot! What a great place to have lunch or dinner.

Food is great but service is pretty slow (even just to order). If you have time, this place is worth a try for sure! I've had the papaya salad, BBQ chicken, and BBQ pork more than once and they're all delicious! Great flavors and tastes fresh. Reminder, Thai spice is SPICY! I got a 3/5 on the spice and it was borderline too spicy for me. LOL. My second time around I got spice level of 1 and it was good! Looking forward to coming back despite the service being slow. Yummy! One last thing that just doesn't seem right to me: $4-5 dollars for a side of rice. None of the grilled proteins come with rice! Does that warrant knocking off one star? Almost. Anyways, this place is good!

My personal favorites were the yellow curry and the pineapple fried rice, but honestly, everything we tried was just as delicious. It's the kind of place where you leave already thinking about what you're going to order next time. Parking is easy too since it's in a plaza. Plenty of free parking, no stress finding a spot. Comfortable & easy. I did notice they still had Christmas decor up when I went, even though it was already February. Not sure if it's part of their everyday aesthetic or just lingering holiday spirit, but either way it was super cute, especially at night. Service was warm from the start. Both the host & server checked in just enough & repeated my order back for accuracy, which is always appreciated. I came in craving Thai flavors but wasn't exactly sure what I wanted yet. If you're into Thai fusion or noodle spots with a diverse menu, this place gives you a lot to work with. After looking through a well-assorted menu, I landed on the Chili & Basil Chicken Egg Rolls to start & the Creamy Coconut Lemongrass Pasta for my entrée. I noticed signage mentioning Channel 7 calling their chili & basil chicken egg rolls the best, so of course I had to try them. It wasn't just the recommendation, but the intrigue of basil chicken inside an egg roll that sold me. They came out crispy, packed with deep basil flavor, & had a great filling-to-wrapper ratio. Now for the star of the show. The Creamy Coconut Lemongrass Pasta wasn't what I expected to order, but it ended up being exactly what I needed. The flavor was rich, creamy, lightly sweet, & paired perfectly with well-sized shrimp. I've been on a skinny noodle kick lately, so I went with the glass noodles. They do offer other noodle options too, which is great if glass noodles aren't your thing. Portion size is generous, easily shareable between two. That said, I was more than happy to keep it to myself & enjoy the leftovers. Definitely a solid spot if you're in the Long Beach or OC area looking for flavorful Thai-inspired noodles. Dean by Dean Noodles is definitely a must-try if you're in the area. Thank you for the amazing food & great service!
