    75. Grilled Chicken, Shrimp Wrapped & Eggrolls on Vermicelli
    Anhvy D.

The staff is attentive, but the restaurant is nondescript. We arrived just before the lunch crowd. Door dashers were abundant, too, so this restaurant definitely has a loyal customer base. The presentation of my grilled chicken, shrimp wrap, and egg roll on vermicelli was beautiful, but the dish overall lacked flavor. Even after the second serving of nuoc mam and lots more chili sauce, I asked for ớt hiểm (fresh chili), hoping that was what was missing in the flavor profile. Sadly, the restaurant doesn't have any. Vietnamese restaurants in La Mirada and La Habra do though. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish, so I'll order the pho next time.

Was in whittier, so brought my wife here to get pho and banh mi. We each ordered the beef brisket pho and shared a beef banh mi. Both dishes were very tasty. They really hit the spot for our pho and banh mi carvings

Really yummy local spot! I had the #3 pho and I thought it was really good, the beef was very tender! The service was quick, and the staff was so nice and friendly. I felt like the prices were comparable to other pho spots, and it's only $1 more to make the pho bowl from a regular to a large. The thai tea was also really good. The inside was clean and spacious, and I did not use the restroom myself, but someone I was with went and said it was very clean!

Music is loud. Food is good. Service is quick. We were pleasantly surprised with this north OC Vietnamese restaurant. They have an extensive menu! The food came out hot and soooo fast (less than 10 mins). I enjoyed their crispy, flavorful calamari appetizer.

Great Pho and service! They're renovating the outside area for outside seating too, looking great!

Ordered the brisket pho but there was no brisket to be found. Some may like the fat but me personally, I enjoy the tender brisket meat. This wouldn't be the first time for me to be disappointed by their brisket and you would think I would learn my lesson by now... Guess you will see me at pho-ology next time around!! Honorable mention for the broth, the egg rolls, and lychee tea!

First time here. Great menu selections. The staff is friendly and gives excellent service, the food tastes great! It's a small restaurant but has enough space to eat comfortably with a party of 4 or 6. I think this place is a great find! Definitely coming back. I ordered the House Special Pho that included tripe, rare steak, and brisket. My son ordered the beef Vermicelli with egg rolls. Both fantastic dishes!

Have been coming here for a while now and this place never disappoints. I've only experienced their take out food option and have yet to sit inside the restaurant, but it's such an easy process to either order online or call in to order. You can go wrong with ordering any of their many pho soups but my go to is the brisket pho. This was my first time trying their beef spring rolls and it was worth it! Definitely recommend trying them out! I posted the receipt as the yelp photos are pretty old essentially all the pho items are roughly the same price of $15. Next time I eat inside I'll grab a pic of the menu! Over all not bad for the price!

We were pleasantly surprised with the pho here. You can choose a regular or large size pho. The large size was HUGE & the regular size was also quite substantial. We were also quite happy with the authentic taste of the broth. Good job! On a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant wasn't full, but there were quite a few customers... a big group and a few other tables. The servers were friendly and helpful. If I'm back in the neighborhood, I would consider another visit.

Do you use star anise and/or cinnamon in any/all of your Pho? I'm looking for soup without them. Thanks,

Hi, we have 3 kind of broths which is beef broth(pho), chicken broth and vegetables broth. Only the beef broth has the star anise and cinnamon on it the other two broths haven’t.

    Is it owned by Vietnamese?

I think so. I did communicate with the owner and his name is Vietnamese. Also, the staff seems to be Vietnamese. I do not know for sure, but that is my assessment.

Since there are multiple locations, we debated between the South Gate and Whittier spots because they're both about the same distance from us in Montebello. For our first visit, I'm really glad we chose this location. The shopping center is huge, so finding parking was easy, even though the area was busy. When we walked in, the restaurant was pretty crowded. All of the booths were occupied, and only a few tables were available, so we waited about five minutes while a staff member cleaned a booth for us. Once seated, we looked over the menu and ordered the egg rolls and garlic truffle fries to start. For our entrées, we chose the ribeye pho and chicken pho. The server was kind enough to offer me a sample of the salted coffee. I had already had coffee earlier in the day, so I didn't order one, but I'm glad I tried it because I'll definitely be getting one next time. Instead, I ordered the cucumber limonade. The food was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're looking for a good late-night pho spot.

The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.

The chips went well with the beans but it was overall a great dish with a nice big portion. .., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!
