Fire Tiger Thai is a small, cute spot tucked into a little shopping center -- easy to miss but worth seeking out! It looks like they're running a small kitchen with just one server, so service was a bit slow, but she was fantastic -- attentive and friendly despite clearly juggling a lot. The food made up for the wait. We started with the crying tiger, and the flavors were incredible -- smoky, savory, with just the right kick. Paired it with a coconut mango drink that was so refreshing. For mains, I had the pad Thai, which was perfectly balanced and super tasty, and my boyfriend got the khao soi chicken, which he loved. Come with a little patience for the slower service, but honestly the food is worth it. Will definitely be back!
Delicious Tom Yum soup! My grandma ordered the Wonton Soup, and my grandpa ordered the Orange Chicken; all tasty! Oh and the Strawberry Lemonade was perfect :)
I'll one day come back here and try some of their food since my coworkers really like their Thai dishes, but I wasn't super hungry and just opted to get a Thai tea, the common standard for any Thai restaurant. You can order online and pick up for later if you are battling the lunch or dinner rush. Parking can be a bit busy here, so keep that in mind. Ambiance is very relaxed and casual. Love the little green plant and flower accents here and there. Adds a little life to the concrete jungle even if they're fake. I got a Thai tea, no adjustments. Not too much ice and it's a sweet enough of a treat drink. If I had the choice, I'd reduce the sweetness just a smidgen, but overall, pretty good. Not the best Thai tea out there (I'm looking at you L'moon and Chatramue), but it works.

Love this place. My kiddos are picky eaters and ask for this place always bc it's sooo good. The Satay Chicken starters and Steamed dumplings are their favorite as well the Strawberry slushie. It's a little outside the budget for daily eating but definitely worth a weekly or even monthly treat. The service is friendly and attentive. My daughter is in the picture post meal, ignore the dishes in the background. Yes, we finished everything on the plates. I highly recommend it.
The thai boat noodle was okay , the ambiance is nice with music playing and somewhat friendly service But it was sooooo slow. We did come in a big table tho. Took an hour to sit but table were available. The food came in waves, as in 2/9 got there entre, 30 mins later 5 more dishes came. It was an hour before all of us had our food
Ordered 5 dishes: yellow curry, pineapple fried rice, the cashew nuts one, pad see ew, and garlic spare ribs. The parking... GPS took me from the backside... So luckily, drivers nearby were nice and I just parked on the street. It was so messy but I did it! The walk to get the food was a bit, especially it was a hot day that day. The food overall was good. Fav was the garlic spare ribs. The price was a bit high though for the portion and the amount of meats as well as the pad see ew was very choppy. Would only go back to get the garlic spare ribs.
It's our first time to eat here. We love all the food thT we ordered. Tom Yum is really good, the sourness is there and so flavorful. Crying tiger is really tender and flavorful as well. Pork jerky is tender as well and not salty. And the string beans with pork is good and not salty. The service is good, the lady who took care of us is really friendly and kind. The ambiance is a typical Thailand restaurant vibe. But the time that we visited there is kinda warm. Hopefully next time we comeback they will turn their A/C
Fast service, intoxicating aroma, delicious good, great lunch special deals. Tried the popular Pad Thai lunch special, selecting veggies, removing bean sprouts, and asking for extra saucy. Delicious, right level of flavor. I would try a different protein next time, I do like tofu as a vegetarian option. Also got the Crying Tiger. Here the beef, which is a generous portion size, was cooked medium well, with just simple salt and pepper in it. It comes with a dipping sauce where the real Thai flavor lies. This allows for drenching in sauce or keeping it light depending on the eater. Came with the same side salad that a lunch special does, do wish the lettuce were cut into smaller pieces to make to easier to eat.
I ordered the pad see ew with chicken, chicken yellow curry, and chicken hot basil & chili. For dessert, I had the mango sticky rice and the Thai tea crème brûlée. Everything was good, but my favorites were the yellow curry and the chicken hot basil & chili.
I love this place so much! Everything I try is so delicious & fresh. My supervisor introduced me & we always order takeout for lunch. They have a lunch special. The restaurant is so cute & the vibes are cozy! Highly recommend especially if you want fast, fresh food for pickup.

There's one of my absolute favorite restaurants if you're ever in the quaint little city at WHITTIER come down and try this exquisite Thai cuisine. I enjoy their food so much the inside the decorations are very nice. I love what they've done with the place but the star is always the food. My personal favorite is the crying tiger. It is a beef dish and it is amazing. I can also say that the basil spicy chow mein is so good and the Frie roasted chicken is amazing as well. The staff is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile and they're blended drinks, such as Boba tea and Thai iced tea which I made fresh and on site definitely an added attraction read more
fire tiger thai food in whittier was such a good experience!! the pad see ew was AMAZING, definitely my favorite thing we got. it had that slightly charred, smoky taste that i love, and the noodles were so flavorful. we got the combination one, which came with a few different things, and there was honestly a lot of food. we also got the steamed chicken dumplings, which were pretty normal tasting and nothing too crazy, but still good. the thai tea was sweet, but honestly one of the best thai teas i've had! the place was small but had nice seatings but don't sit in the corner you'll feel closed off. also wished it was a bit cooler inside. we tried the mango sticky rice too, which was my first time having it. it was really tasty and i liked the mango, although it wasn't super ripe. the service was amazing, our waiter went above and beyond. the only thing i wasn't a huge fan of was the orange chicken because it tasted a little artificial to me. overall, i really enjoyed it and would definitely come back for the pad see ew!! read more

This place is pretty great. We have our favorite place in cerritos that we love but when we are in a pinch, we order here. Everything they serve is seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly! We've tried variety of dishes from here like crying tiger, pad see ew, pad thai, crab fried rice, bbq ribs, and crab rangoon. Everything was great but knocking off a star because their crab rangoon was kind of stale and not hot (yes, it was a togo but everything else was hot!) And their protein servings are a little lean. Overall, would definitely eat here again and recommend! read more
Out favorite Thai place in Whittier. Everything is always fresh and very tasty! One of my favorites is the Hot Basil and Chili. I get it with chicken but have had it with shrimp too. Very tasty!!The Drunken noodles are another favorite. Service is great! They always greet you with a smile. We usually order to go and the food is always ready on time for pick up. Food was great! Most of us got the Khao Soi and we all loved it. We had a party of 9 people so it took a bit for the food to come out, but it's understandable. The environment was clean and neat, and staff were nice and helpful. Would come again! read more

New FAVORITE! We had the following: crying Tiger as an app - The sauce that comes with this is tasty. It is like a fish sauce. I recommend adding the hot sauce to it! (Picture attached) Yellow curry and Panang for entrees - we got beef as the protein option for both. They were DELICIOUS! The yellow had potatoes and carrots (filling). They Panang was just meat, sauce, and bell peppers mainly.l but it was perfect with the jasmine rice that comes with them. (Panang was my favorite! The yellow was my sister's favorite.) [pictures not taken because we dived in to eating! It was a chilly day so the curry warmed us up perfectly] Mango sticky rice for dessert: The rice was warm with the sweet milk drizzled on top with sprinkled peanuts. The surrounding was coated with the perfect ripe mangos! So good! We did get our top with their homemade coconut ice cream! It was so delicious! Fire Tiger Thai Food is a Thai restaurant in a plaza on a busy intersection in Whittier. Came here on a Saturday evening with family for dinner. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the Garlic Spare Ribs, Seven Seas Soup, Chu Chee Salmon Curry, and Pad Thai with Chicken. We also ordered the Mango Coconut, Butterfly Drink, and Lychee Pleasesy. All the food and drinks came out quickly. Our drinks were good. The Mango Coconut is a slush and had good mango and coconut flavors. The Butterfly Drink is on the tart side as it has lemonade, but it is refreshing. The Lychee Pleasesy is a lychee green tea drink with a good lychee flavor. All the drinks are not too sweet. The Garlic Spare Ribs were good but some pieces were a bit tough. They came with a sweet and sour sauce which looks really thin but has great flavor. The Pad Thai is solid. We don't get Pad Thai often but this is seems to be on the sweeter side. The noodles were al dented and the peanuts and bean sprouts provide a nice texture. The Chu Chee Samon Curry was flavorful and rich. The salmon was pan seared and some parts of it were crispy but dry. The middle parts were moist and tender. It comes with a side of rice. The Seven Seas Soup was light, slightly tart, and packed with seafood and mushrooms. It was probably the favorite of the meal. Overall, giving Fire Tiger Thai Food a 4/5. This is a solid Thai spot. Portions and service are good. Would recommend to others and would return if in the area. read more

Small, but solid Thai restaurant! Very clean and efficient staff. Food was flavorful and a great lumch special deal for $12.95. My green curry was yummy, although I do regret ordering medium spicy...it really packed a lot of heat!! Good place for a quick meal or takeout. read more
Ok so Beverly and Norwalk is my childhood neighborhood. Sooo many memories at Palm Palm Park, Rio and so on. Been eating healthy and wanted a Thai Salad. First time here and have to say absolutely fabulous. Place is small but it makes its cozy cafe warmth. The spicy beef salad was sublime. I asked for a level 4 out 5 spiciness and the chef nailed it. The garlic green beans another hit. Highly recommend the garlic ribs. Little carnitas nuggets of yum yum. Did I mention how great they treat you here. West Whittier rules. read more
