My friend and I have been here a couple of times and were overcharged the last time...had to ask them to recharge my card. They tried making me pay almost $60+ for something that we usually pay $44 for. So yeah, keep in mind the vegan 1-item is $20 with tax. And the shrimp is absolutely disgusting. It doesn't even resemble food. I had the worst headache from it that went onto the next day, and I couldn't even finish it. It tastes like rubber, and it's the worst vegan food I've ever had. We will NOT be returning as the service is atrocious, and there are a million other Chinese food spots in the area. At first, I thought it was special because it is vegan, but it's not anymore. Beware of being ripped off.

I was craving Chinese food so decided to stop in. This spot is always busy and well maintained, with a very cool vibe. The staff is extremely pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. As for the food, it's very good, probably the best take out in Whittier. The Ingredients are fresh, tasty, and full of flavors. They give huge portions at very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong coming to Pots N Woks when craving authentic Chinese food.

So dare I say this is hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had? It's true! There is plenty of parking so no need to worry. It's located is a shopping center and it looks pretty freshly renovated. The service here is great, they are super friendly and welcoming. But let's talk about the food, the real deal! I got the combo C. I got the bbq pork, the mushroom chicken, beef broccoli, with half fried rice and chow mien. The food tasted so fresh and delicious, they pack your plate too! This was definitely my favorite Chinese food place of all time.

After this place was recommended to me by a friend as one of the best vegan Chinese restaurants he's ever been to, hubby and I knew we had to make a visit. Upon driving up, I liked how a "vegan friendly" sign was clearly displayed in the front. Inside the restaurant, there is a cute mural on the wall as well as several tables available for people to sit at if they choose to eat at the restaurant. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and were impressed by the clearly labeled vegan menu options. Prices are listed for meat combo meals as well as vegan combo meals. Prior to ordering, hubby asked if any vegan options contains nuts and the employee went and confirmed that the vegan Kung pow chicken contains peanuts but all the other vegan options were available for him to eat. I decided to order a three item combo with half chow mein, half fried rice, vegan orange chicken, vegan BBQ pork, and vegan mushroom chicken, with a watermelon lemonade to drink. Hubby also chose the three item combo ordered half chow mein, half fried rice, vegan orange chicken, vegan Mongolian beef, and vegan BBQ pork, with a passion fruit lemonade to drink. We decided to split an order of veggie egg rolls and macaroni salad. Our lemonades were quickly prepared and our food followed soon after. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw our to go containers clearly labeled as vegan. The watermelon lemonade was the best lemonade I ever had in that it tasted like a liquid watermelon Jolly Rancher to me which was delicious. Hubby enjoyed his passion fruit lemonade and said it had a good balance of sweetness and tartness. The vegan BBQ pork was excellent, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and had the perfect amount of sauce of it. The vegan orange chicken was tender and sweet but not overly sweet and the vegan mushroom chicken was cooked well and had a good balance of vegan chicken, mushrooms and vegetables. The vegan Mongolian beef was well seasoned and gave hubby the exact amount of spice that he likes and paired well with the chow mien and fried rice. The egg rolls and macaroni salad were also very tasty as well. Although we began eating our meal at the restaurant, the food portions are so large that we decided to save some of it for a later meal. Due to the friendly and attentive staff as well as the variety of vegan menu items, we definitely plan to visit the restaurant again in the future.

Are there still low carb options available?

Hi do they still offer catering?

    I believe they do, yes.

Are you on any food delivery apps?

I've ordered Pots n' Woks via Uber Eats -but it will show as 'unavailable' when the restaurant is closed (Mon-Tues i think)

    Is anything gluten free?

No, they no longer have gluten free things on their menu.

What are the vegan proteins made of?

    Mostly soy I believe

Do you have non vegan meats? Like real meats as well as vegan?

Yes! Options for carnivores and vegans LOL

Are the vegan options available to order on the side as while?

Unfortunately not. Their vegan options are the main courses and they make em fresh to order so you gotta wait about 10-20 min (depending on how busy) for the food to be ready :) unless you call ahead. They do have vegan desserts on the side though.

Does anyone have an idea how much a platter of vegan Chao mein and vegan kung pao chicken for about 10 people cost?

All alternative meats cost more than actual meat... it's not far off from Panda Express where you get less food same + price and not vegan nor vegetarian. They give you a lot of food and in my experience vegan isn't cheap. I think their price… Read more

    Any gluten-free options?

    Rice noodles

What is the vegan chicken made out of?

I believe soy and wheat gluten !

Does anyone know how to contact the owner? What's her name?

She is usually there. I would try calling her or showing up.

    Is all the menu vegan?

They have a separate menu of vegan yummyness. They make all the vegan entrees specially for you.

We were…read moredoing a bon voyage dinner for my nephew as he ventures off to his master's program out of state, and we were able to make last minute reservations. I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

We didn't get her name but she had glasses and septum nose piercing. She was more accommodating at then end but we were very off put at the beginning and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Our server at our table was the complete opposite. Very attentive and made the group less angry with our initial treatment. Wish I got her name to share. The desert and cocktails were nice but due to the service it did not make up for the overall experience. Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? Gave more juice Peach Bellini 4.5/5 - table side pour is nice touch and rest of bottle was nice. Syrup has a sourness but mixed in with Bellini and gelato and tasted just right. Melontini - 2.5/5 light, somewhat good flavor but nothing memorable. Ambience seems nice but it can be loud inside with open floor plan.

.., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!
