I used to go to Chop'd all the time a few years ago as the proximity to the office is convenient. However, they've been dropping the ball recently. Not only do they never have avocado, the smoothies are inconsistent and the bagel setup has changed. For instance, ordering a bagel with cream cheese used to mean they spread a good chunk of cream cheese to said bagel.. now they give you a small to-go package of cream cheese. My husband and I had lunch here since it was nearby and looked like it had healthy options. Overall, we are not sure we would come back for the following reasons: * Quality/Quantity/Taste - We ordered a "South of the Border" salad, and it was basically lots of lettuce, maybe half of a seasoned chicken breast cubed, a sprinkle of corn, beans, and tortilla chip strips. There was nothing really special about it at all. The lady just threw it all together in a plastic takeout box, a little handful here, a little handful there, like a Chipotle assembly line. Neither of us said anything as we dug in, and within a minute, we both agreed it was waaay overpriced for what we ordered. We also ordered an "Acai Smoothie," and it was a little tart and super sweet. The flavor was okay, but I felt like it wasn't a quality açaí blend that they used; it tasted more like an icy cranberry apple juice if anything. You're better off going to Jamba and getting something a bit more natural and quality, as much as I like the idea of supporting local businesses. However, maybe we just ordered the wrong kind of drink. * Value - As mentioned, the price for what we ordered was just not worth it. They offered us dressings to try with our salad, and we ended up getting two (one is more than enough for the amount of salad they give, by the way). We didn't even know it's an additional charge for every dressing choice (seriously, you're charging for that?!). To make matters worse, they price your salad by weight, yet they included the dressing containers inside the box, which added more weight towards the total cost. Should you choose to do the salad, don't have it on the side or it's like a charge on top of a charge. We don't think we'll be back, just based on the above alone. Paid $30 for Mediterranean wrap (i asked for it light because i wasnt very hungry) and a asian sesame salad (also lightly packed). They charged me $.50 at the last minute without telling me there is a credit card charge, when i had cash on me. I wouldve paid cash if i had known but they already let my card go through before i could cancel. There were zero signs about the card charge. They also weighed the salad's dressing (which we asked for on the side), adding more cost for something already paid.
