This is a great neighborhood coffee shop. Ordered to Spanish Latte (hot) and the iced Honey Latte -- both very very good! There is plenty of indoor seating with a cute decor. The staff was super friendly. Lots of parking in the strip mall -- definitely will stop here again.

"Hygge". Danish word pronounced "hue-guh"/"hyoo-guh" Solid latte that I got. When I arrived Sunday afternoon, it was completely empty. There is so much seating and the chill ambiance makes it a great spot to study/work at. It is situated in a small plaza with limited parking in front. Not sure if there's a parking lot in the back. Seems like a mom and pop shop because it seemed like the older gentleman at the register was the only one there.

My husband and I decided to stop by this coffee shop recently. We didn't realize that we've passed by it before, but we're glad we found it! I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte, and my husband tried the Iced Spanish Latte. Both coffees were super tasty and full of flavor. We also ordered the Korean BBQ Bulgogi Panini to share, and it was very delicious! The barista behind the counter was very polite and helpful. He explained the menu options to us since it was our first time there, and let us know that the panini would be ready after a short wait. He had our coffees ready quickly, and the panini was ready shortly after. The coffee shop itself was clean, nicely decorated, and had a relaxing ambience. It's fairly spacious with plenty of seating as well. We'll definitely be back soon!

My first time here and the service was amazing. Thought they were closed at 5 PM however they were already closed when I got there. The owner was so sweet and gave me a coffee (toffee nut latte) anyway and did not charge me. We need more people like this in the world. The atmosphere was so cute! I will be back again soon!

my bf and i loved this cute coffee shop!!! there were so many tables & honestly one of the best toffee lattes i've had! a nice man at the counter greeted us & took lots of time and care with our drinks when he was making them. the toffee nut lotte has a silky, smooth and butterscotch taste - exactly what i was looking for! not too many people were around when we came by, but definitely think there should be more people coming in esp to study in large groups! outlets are by the wall, but overall solid coffee esp if you're looking for sweeter coffee

Hygge Coffee is a solid coffee shop to visit. There are plenty of seats and the interior is pretty cute. We ordered 2 lattes, one iced lavender oat and one hot pistachio. I found both a bit sweeter than I preferred (so will need to make sure to request 50% sweet next time), but overall the flavor of the coffee really shines. I'll definitely stop by to try more coffees soon!

Super friendly staff. Wonderful selection of Lattes (my fav). Located in a strip mall on the corner lot makes it very easy to get to although parking can get complicated. But don't let that deter you from enjoying. The facilities are wonderful. Nice ample seating which will let you enjoy your coffee and do your yelp updates. Food selection is limited but avocado toast looks interesting I may have to try. Support local small businesses y'all.

HYGGE COFFEE serves very good espresso coffee drinks for the local community in La Mirada. It's located in a shopping center with a large and free parking lot with plenty of available spots. There was no line to enter and no line to order. There is a very large indoor dining space with many tables and chairs where you can park your laptop and study or work. Their STRAWBERRY LATTE is delicious - it's strawberry milk with no coffee. The HOT CHOCOLATE is rich. The FLAT WHITE is delicious, the coffee flavor is strong, the milk was hot. Hubs ordered a LATTE but I didn't get to taste it.

The older couple that work here at so cute! Extremely friendly. It looks like they serve Stumptown coffee. We ordered a drink she recommended: Peanut Butter Latte. I was a little nervous, but surprisingly shocked at how good it was! I like my lattes to still have the coffee taste, along side whatever additions are added. My biggest pet peeve is an overly milked/water down coffee. This was not that! The coffee was well balanced sweetness, milk as coffee ratio -- you can tell by the color richness. The peanut butter was more of a peanut brittle taste and is more on the sweeter end. But I enjoyed it and can see why it's one of their most popular drinks. Plenty of seating and there was a cute little record player nook. They had wifi available as well, but did not see/notice many outlets for working/studying.

Food: 4/5 (only tried drinks) Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try their sandwiches and food. Their iced and hot coffees and drinks are phenomenal! I have tried most of their lattes and their Strawberry Latte. Just know that the Strawberry Latte should be renamed to "Strawberry Milk" since I confirmed with the barista (a older gentleman who is also the owner of the coffee shop) said there were no caffeine or coffee in the Strawberry Latte. I purchased the Strawberry Latte thinking there was coffee/caffeine in it to find out there wasn't. My favorites are Vanilla, Lavender & the Spanish Iced Latte. The taste of the coffee is very real and delicious. The services here are always superb! The barista is the cashier and it's always the same guy. He is very friendly, helpful, and very welcoming! I've always enjoyed coming here before 8am on my way to work to pick up some coffee. It is a must try if you are around the area!

I love coming here for my iced latte -- it's so good! The owner uses Stumptown Coffee, and you can really taste the quality in every sip. It's a one-man show, so don't expect super fast service -- instead, enjoy a slow, thoughtful experience, steeped in rich flavor and care. Totally worth the wait; after all, all good things take time. The ambiance is calm and relaxing, with soft music that makes it a perfect spot to unwind. The owner even shared how much he looks forward to serving his customers the best coffee every day. He's truly a passionate barista!

This place is a rare gems that feels like home. I absolutely love this place not just for the incredible craft drinks, but for the warmth that radiates from every corner. The owner is welcoming and genuinely passionate, and it shows in everything from the thoughtfully curated menu to the inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. Whether I'm sipping on a perfectly balanced latte or just soaking in the cozy ambiance, Hygge always lifts my spirits. It's more than a coffee shop--it's a comforting experience, and one I keep coming back to.

I love this cafe and it's owner. Been coming here past 6 yrs, even though it's kinda out of my way. Salted caramel is especially good and for the first time I tried their chicken panini today. It was so good!

Hello, are you now open for indoor seating?

    Yes, we are!!

I love the drinks here but the place closes way too early for a coffee shop. Does it plan to extend its business hour?

Will you serve decafe in the future?

Hi Alice, good news! We are now serving decaf coffee! Come visit us soon!

How good is the WiFi connection? Are there electric outlets? Is this a good place to work/study?

I've tried their signature The Melrose, which consists of black forest ham, oven roasted turkey, bacon, melted White American cheese, topped with house slaw (lettuce, red onions, pepperoncini tossed in their "Melrose" spread) and tomato. I absolutely love this sandwich!! It's packed with so much flavor, and the bun absorbs all of the juicy goodness, making every bite incredibly satisfying. Runner-up for me is the Uncle Nikki. This one has Genoa salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone cheese, also topped with their house slaw. I've only ordered from here through Postmates, and every time their packaging is excellent--they wrap each sandwich in this cute wrapper, which adds a fun touch and keeps everything neatly intact and fresh by the time it arrives. Each sandwich is around $12 (as of June 2026), and I honestly think it's worth the price because these sandwiches are huge and so good!!

Since it was our first time (thanks to tik tok!), Henry went over the menu and shared his personal favorites as well as the most popular among customers. He did tell us they are known for their sandwiches. We went with one breakfast burrito and the granada sandwich, respectfully. We had them cut in half too. We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! We got jalapeño aioli as a dipping sauce and man oh man was it good! We will definitely be returning! And honestly, I can't wait! Some notes: If you need to use the restroom, you gotta head over to the movie theater across the way as Monty's does not have a public restroom. Be patient as there is a wait time. It wasn't packed at all, but we believe there aren't many cooks back there. It's okay though, totally worth it in our opinion.

We all ordered sandwiches, and despite there being no other customers in the restaurant, it took nearly 30 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered the turkey sandwich with mayo on the side, but it arrived without the cheese or onions that were supposed to be included. The employee at the counter was very apologetic, which I appreciated, but it didn't make up for the long wait and incorrect order. In total, we spent $56 on sandwiches that were mediocre at best. Sadly, the food and overall experience did not live up to the positive reviews.

.., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!
