Stopped by here on the way to Biola.Needed a coffee break and found an amazing coffee stop! The employees (Jacob) and owner (Katherine) were so nice and amazing to talk to. The coffee is very flavorful. Way better than chain coffee!! Definitely stop and grab a snack and a cup!

Great service, they were super nice and they even helped carry our food to the table and brought everything we needed. The avocado toast and ham and cheese toast were good and light, they both had yummy flavors even though they're pretty simple(not in a bad way). I got like a banana milk with matcha foam and it was okay, it was pretty sweet and my bf got a decaf Spanish latte and he loved it. Also got a chocolate muffin and it was sooooo good. Would definitely come back

This is a clean modern shop with a very friendly barista working the day we visited. We ordered a Flat White & Cortado. They both had nice latte art and were served in ceramic cup and glass which is something I really like a lot. I feel it elevated the experience greatly. Unfortunately the flavor of the drinks was not very good. They had a nice smooth texture but tasted off. I'm not sure how to describe it other then to say it was almost sour and had an unpleasant after taste. We did not finish our drinks. They are located in a strip mall with plenty of safe free parking.

Came on a Saturday, it was surprisingly very empty with one person studying so seems like it would be a nice place to study with large windows and good lighting! I didn't study here though so unsure how the wifi is. We ordered a strawberry ricotta toast which was pretty small and bread was thing but overall tasted good. It was a little pricey for the size. The honey lavender oat latte was delicious! Strong lavender flavor. Service was pretty quick, ordering occurs at a kiosk. Parking is really easy as it's located in a plaza.

Best croissants , spinach and cheese, ham and cheese , everything, croissant , donuts are original style from back in the day . Very very good pastries in general. My picky 11 year old daughter can't get enough of this place in the mornings recommend for sure. They get busy in the morning so order ahead or online if you're in a hurry. But best to eat there so you get the crispy goodness fresh out the oven

I have to say I do love their coffee but their matcha is okay! Lately this girl, Simran is really rude. She has an attitude and talks to her coworkers about customers as they leave. I feel she purposely made other drinks that were ordered after me because I had a few questions about the strawberry matcha. In the pictures it shows strawberry on the bottom however mine did not come that way and barley had strawberry flavor. Her words, "I hate when customers are so rude and don't interact it makes it awkward" but she in fact makes it awkward and is rude. Probably won't be back waiting 15+ min for ONE drink on my way to work.

Mixed feelings about this place. The good: located in a plaza with plenty of free parking, they don't charge for alternative milk, various drink options (coffee, tea), and they support local businesses. Inside the shop sold dried flower, refillable soap, and other things. The not so good: cortado tasted too bitter and the overall drink temperature was too hot. Unsure if it's a one off, since many reviewers really like this place. Might give it another try if I'm in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it.

The place is clean with free wifi, good for students and business meetings. The baristas are really nice and attentive. Their young but you can tell they're passionate of their work. The taste? love it!!! Not sweet but not bitter!

This shop is located in a large strip mall with a giant free parking lot. They serve delicious espresso-based coffee. Great addition to the area. Lots of indoors and outdoor seating available. Order your own at the kiosk. If you can't, staff will be more than happy to help. Chill space with merch from local producers/artisans.

Hot Blueberry Matcha (left) & Iced Strawberry Matcha right)
    Annalise W.

Came here mid afternoon on a Friday to try their matcha! My mom ordered a hot blueberry matcha with oat milk and I ordered an iced strawberry matcha with oat milk. The blueberry matcha was so good & I have to give credit as I've never seen blueberry being offered as a matcha flavor. I couldn't really taste the strawberry flavor in my iced matcha; however, one of the ladies that was working asked us how our drinks were and she offered to add more strawberry flavoring for me. I was almost done with my drink so I opted out but I do appreciate the check in & offer to make it better. There are some tables inside to sit at & there were some people sitting working on things throughout the time I was there. I would give this place another shot and try some of their coffee offerings next time!

I started running this weekend at La Mirada Creek Park down the road and came across Civitas on my way home today. Tucked away in a cozy little shopping center is this quaint, low key coffee shop with welcoming vibes. The baristas were friendly and were kind to tell me about their rewards program which I was eager to join. I ordered a large iced Spanish Latte and it was really good! Lovely notes of spice and cinnamon to complement a coffee forward drink. Thank you Civitas!

    Spanish Latte (5/5)

LOCATION - Nestled in a compact, "one lane" parking lot, Civitas Coffee is easy to find. With a long interior space, they have a handful of tables + seating. I believe they have WiFi but I didn't see too many outlets. The inside is clean but fairly basic. FOOD - This coffee shop had been on my list so I finally tried it for the first time. I went with an Iced Spanish Latte with whole milk and it was so delicious! From the looks of it, they use coffee beans from Jetty. You can really taste the rich boldness of the beans but it's still creamy and just sweet enough to make it smooth. One of the better tasting coffee's around! SERVICE - I was happily greeted and felt welcomed by the barista. She was wonderful. Couldn't have had a better first time experience!

    Chagaccino was great!

Came in for the first time today and it was a nice experience. From the ambience to the friendly service I'd 100% come back. I was recommended by some friends next door who cut my hair and this makes me want to come in earlier for my appointments to get an Ice coffee.

On July 5, I arrived at the store around 6:50 a.m. to pick up my order, but the staff could not find it. After checking, they told me that the person who took my order on June 28 had written it down incorrectly as a 6:30 p.m. pickup, not 6:30 a.m. Even though they admitted that the order was written incorrectly on their side, they told me I would have to wait about 30-40 minutes for them to prepare the original items. I had to pick up my order and leave right away, so I ended up taking different replacement items instead and got money back the price difference in cash. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I did not receive any apology from the bakery that morning, so later that day I called the store hoping to at least hear a simple "sorry" for the inconvenience. The employee on the phone only asked questions like who took the order and why the price difference was paid back in cash not card, and never offered any apology. Because of this, I went back to the store in person to speak with the manager or owner. The owner, pretending as manager, told me that the order slip showed a 6:30 p.m. pickup time, not 6:30 a.m., and insisted that there was no fault on their side. She didn't say sorry but just blamed the one who wrote wrong. I explained that all I wanted was a basic apology: they had written the order time incorrectly, I could not receive what I originally ordered, I had to take a smaller replacement order, and then I had to visit another bakery to buy more items to make up for the shortage. Even after explaining the inconvenience this caused, I still did not receive a sincere apology. The lack of responsibility and basic customer service in handling their own ordering mistake was very disappointing, and that is why I am sharing this experience here.

You grab a tray when you walk in and choose from a selection of fresh pastries, breads, croissants, cookies, macarons, cakes, pies, tarts, and so much more. There truly is something for everyone. I ordered the Honey Lavender Matcha and a chocolate muffin and spent about 11bucks. Let me just say, both were excellent. The matcha was perfectly balanced with earthy matcha, honey, and lavender without being overly sweet. The chocolate muffin was soft, moist, and filled with a rich chocolate center that made every bite even better. I also appreciated the attention to cleanliness and presentation. Many of the fresh bakery items were individually wrapped and sealed, while others were beautifully displayed behind glass, giving the café a polished and upscale feel. What really stood out to me was the value. I spent less here than I had at another coffee shop earlier that week, yet left feeling like I received so much more. The quality, atmosphere, food, and overall experience made it feel like money well spent. Whether you're looking for a place to study, work remotely, enjoy a coffee date, meet a friend, or simply treat yourself, Tous Les Jours is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from their bakery because there were far too many delicious options to choose from in just one visit.

The sponge is incredibly soft, and the mascarpone cream is light, airy, and not overly sweet, making every bite feel perfectly balanced. The fresh strawberries add just the right amount of sweetness and a slight tartness that complements the delicate cream beautifully. This isn't one of those heavy, overly rich cakes that leave you feeling full after a slice. It's so light and refreshing that it's hard to stop at just one piece. I chose this cake for my birthday, and it was the perfect celebration cake. If you enjoy desserts that are elegant, fluffy, and just sweet enough, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I'll definitely be ordering it again!

I've been coming to Pampanga's Bakery in Artesia for a while now, and it's long overdue that I actually give them their flowers. If you are looking for authentic, comforting Filipino baked goods and kakanin, this is the gold standard. Every time I walk in, the shelves are loaded with staples. Their selection of kakanin is also massive. The **Puto Assorted** and **Puto & Kutsinta** packs ($3.90) are always perfectly soft, vibrant, and fresh, and they have massive trays of **Biko Pandan** and **Cassava Cake** if you're feeding a crowd. For the savory side, the **Chicken Empanadas** and **Fried Lumpia** always hit the spot. And of course, there's the **Turon**. Yes, the price has risen to $1.05 a piece, but honestly? It's just modern economics, and it is still worth every single penny. It is still the absolute best of the best--shattered-crisp, perfectly caramelized on the outside, and packed right. The staff is always fast, the bakery smells like heaven, and the quality has stayed incredibly consistent over the years. Don't be like me and gatekeep it...if you haven't been, stop by!

One thing they have always been consistent about is the quality of their turon--and unfortunately, the long wait times as well. There have been several occasions when we had to pay and come back later because of the high demand for their product. Because we live about 30 miles away, we were advised to place our orders by phone before making the trip, which is exactly what we've been doing. Yesterday, however, we experienced one of the most inefficient customer service experiences we've ever had. We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.
