Tanners has some of the best matcha I've had. It's smooth, flavorful, and not overly milky at all. So many places I've tried taste like nothing but milk, but you definitely won't get that here. I love discovering new coffee shops so I was excited with this one but was very disappointed with the costumer service the day of my visit. My coffee cup had hair stuck to it, it was on the outside so I did not make it a big deal, the barista saw me removing it with a paper towel or maybe not? But she was looking directly towards me and ignored it. I got to my car and tried the coffee, the espresso shots were pretty weak so I came back to ask if they can add an extra shot. I approached the same barista and she told me to go back to the cashier so I can pay for that shot. I'm not a difficult customer, which is why I didn't make a fuss about the hair on the cup. However, after paying $7.50 for the drink and another $1.48 for an extra shot, I felt the situation could have been handled with a little more care and consideration. A simple apology or gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way. You guys offered to remake my drink only after the second time I came back and had asked to get an extra shot. Which I did not have time for. I have no reason to spend my time and effort fabricating a negative review. I simply shared my honest experience as a customer but thank you! read more

Tried Tanner's Coffee today. I got an iced hazelnut latte and my latte was nicely balanced. Not overly sweet and perfect coffee flavor. I prefer my lattes to have a more coffee taste than an overly "milky" taste so this was right up my ally. The coffee shop was pretty busy with a decent line forming but since I wasn't in a rush it wasn't a bother, so I didn't mind waiting. I had a lovely experience at Tanner's Coffee (La Mirada). I ordered the Banana Cream Top Coffee ($7.50 - 16oz). It's banana cold foam and an espresso iced latte. TASTY! I felt awake and happy. I arrived at Tanner's Coffee (La Mirada) on Thursday (around 10:35AM). Parking is simple, but it's tight & cramped. Fortunately, I quickly found a parking spot in the lot. Staff is professional and hard working. Staff politely answered my questions. My drink took five minutes and 46 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Banana Cream Top Coffee ($7.50). It tastes like fresh, natural banana! I even tasted and bit into small bits of mashed up fresh banana in its cream. The coffee is also not overly sweet nor bitter. Rather, the brew flows smoothly like chill silk. There's only two shots of espresso, but I felt clean, strong energy fill me. It's wonderful!! On ambiance, Tanner's Coffee (La Mirada) is minimalistic and popular with customer flow. There's five tiny tables and a long bench. It's echoey inside, and the location is relatively clean. However, the location does need to be a little more diligent in the cleanliness; many long strands of hair were over several of the round cushions. Fortunately, Tanner's Coffee (La Mirada) has good utility. There's four electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; customers need to speak to Staff for the details. There's also a self-service water station, and there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. I appreciated the upbeat music, and as more customers flooded in, I appreciated how Staff strengthened the ventilation. Overall, I had a memorable and lovely experience at Tanner's Coffee (La Mirada). This business is popular for good reason. The coffee is AMAZING!! And I left with a bright smile. I've been trying to find a good place that has a banana matcha and this place was it! The inside is cute and plenty of seating but it's not too comfortable in my opinion. We had gotten a chocolate muffin and the barista that helped us out asked if we wanted it warmed up but when it was given to us it was really cold so I think she might've forgotten to warm it up so we had to go back and tell them. Checked out this new coffee spot in La Mirada with a friend! We went on a weekday and it's in a plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is really nice! Minimal and spacious, which I loved. Between the two of us, we tried the coconut matcha, yuzu espresso tonic, banana cream top latte, strawberry matcha, cold brew cream top, and split a croissant. Everything was really good!! Not overly sweet, the cream tops were fresh and super foamy. The staff told us they use real fruit in their drinks, and you can definitely tell. The croissant was flaky and buttery, hit the spot. I was so stoked to learn my favorite coffee shop by the beach has a La Mirada location! I love their coffee. It's rare a coffee shop has both good regular roast black coffee AND good specialty drinks (like the crème brûlée latte or double matcha). Stopped by here on Saturday around 11am and it was busy inside but the orders came out pretty quickly. Its a super cute coffee shop and the employees are all very kind and welcoming. I sat down while I waited for my drinks and it was pretty chill, there were some people working on their laptops and others just hanging out. I got a latte with banana cream foam and it was delicious. My only suggestion is that they add a bit more ice because my cold drink wasn't that cold. My friend and I ordered the strawberry matcha with oat milk (+.50) and the banana cream top matcha with whole milk. Unfortunately, both drinks were pretty underwhelming. The strawberry matcha mostly tasted like strawberry milk. The strawberry flavor completely overpowered the matcha, so there was barely any matcha taste at all. It was also extremely sweet, which made it hard to finish. We also noticed that the matcha was premade. The matcha was poured from a pitcher, which probably explains why the drinks come out so quickly. For the banana cream top matcha, the cream top was lukewarm and watery and was kept sitting out on the counter rather than refrigerated. While they did use real bananas, the drink itself still felt pretty flat and didn't really stand out. Overall, while the reviews seemed promising, the flavor and quality didn't match the price or expectations for the drinks. read more

I saw that Tanner's Coffee is a new cafe so I had to make a visit and try it out! They're a coffee shop that specializes in signature drinks with strong matcha & coffee. Walking in, I noticed right away that it's a spacious, minimal, bright & clean space. It's a very chill environment that's great for studying, getting work done or just hanging out. Their menu features a good selection of well crafted drinks and the thing I liked a lot was that they had really delicious house made cream tops like a banana cream top & matcha cream top that worked perfectly with their drinks. The quality of the matcha, coffee & cream tops here are all excellent. They also got a variety of tasty pastries and I always like that a cafe has good pastries. I would recommend trying their banana cream matcha, banana cream latte, double matcha and double strawberry matcha. All of these drinks were so good and you can really taste the quality of matcha & coffee. Their cream tops didn't overpower the matcha or coffee taste either. Service was really great as well.
