Purple and gold latte- medium. The medium is $7 and in any other coffee shop it would be considered a small. It's supposed to have agave and lavender syrup however I could hardly taste both. 7/10 They have a cool shop full of trinkets, gifts, candles, plants, clothing, etc. it's nice for cute prism personal gifts. The pricing is really high, I saw a tote bag go for $35, which cost about $1-$2 to make. The people are nice but it is overpriced especially for the area. read more

I haven't tried their coffee yet but I will next time. My only gripe is that I felt weird unwelcoming vibes from the ladies who work at the cash register near the parking lot entrance. They didn't welcome me and my sister which is like ok maybe they missed us. But upon walking out they loudly wished the customers ahead of us a good day and when we walked by to leave they just became silent and watched us walk out. My sister got the sweet bee latte and that was better, but I would not recommend the cold brew... Great local coffee shop for to-go coffee orders. My favorite drink is the Stumptown Coldbrew with almond milk and hazelnut syrup. You can place an order through Yelp or through Local Fixture website and they're usually pretty quick to fulfill the order. The lines can get pretty long inside but the baristas are fast and friendly. The pastries and donuts are always delicious. They sell a delicious egg breakfast sandwich that I could eat every day. They also have a cold fridge with grab bottles of water, milk, teas, etc. 10/10! read more

Been to a few coffee shops in the surrounding area and this one tasted the best. Not to mention their pastries are fire as while. Their service is great I haven't had a negative interaction and I've had a different person help me each time so that's cool I appreciate when you don't feel like a burden for ordering or being new to the shop since that is a common vibe at must coffee shops. Stumptown is their house coffee, which is pretty great for "normal" crowds. Nothing too fancy, but a little cut above average. That said, I don't really drink fancy sugary drinks, so I do really judge their coffee and prep. Iced pourover (which I believe is Guatemalan) is always nice and smooth with a hint of roastiness, very easy to drink.. too easy you might end up going for the second cup. They did a good job on it, my go-to. Their straight espresso was pretty good too, they're pretty spot on dialing it in. Generally smooth with a bit of edge and balance between brightness and bitterness, not sure if they're using the same beans. Overall, decent coffee spot for when you're around the area or like me, shopping at the store. The only thing is, I'd much prefer the old spot at Bright Ave, bigger space, tucked in the lively shop. Just something I gotta get used to. read more

You can find this coffee bar located in the back right corner of the Local Fixture gift shop. My husband and I came over the weekend and the inside of the store itself was busy with lots of people wandering the store and a few coffee customers waiting for their drinks. Since we were first time customers, we had some questions to ask about their coffee menu and the register-person was able to answer them. We ordered an iced Smores latte and iced Sweet Bee latte. I got the Smores latte which had a hint of marshmallow and chocolate. I felt like it was missing a graham cracker taste and that it overall tasted like a lighter mocha latte. The Sweet Bee latte tasted better and I wish that I had swapped drinks with my husband. Overall, the drinks were so-so. Not sure I'd drive all the way out to this coffee shop again. There's a good amount of street parking and there's a parking structure across the street; both can get pretty crowded depending on the time of day. Customer service could also be a little friendlier by thanking customers for their purchase/order when picking up drinks. read more

Ok, let put this very simple: YOU NEED TO SHOP LOCAL. You need to stop throwing money away in corporate franchises and go the LOCAL BUSINESS ROUTE. I'm telling you, there are SOOO MANY INTERESTING options that you may have never heard about, bacause you always end up in your closest coffee shop, which happens to be a franchise, even if they sell cookie cutter pastries and burnt coffee. With that being said, if you really want to turn your life around and ENJOY hidden gems like this one, it is IMPERATIVE that if you haven't and live in Whittier, you give the little coffee nook inside Local Fixture a try. I am so baffled hours later I can't stop smiling. This little gift / coffee shop is quite an interesting concept with all sorts of items for sale from jewerly to stationary to baby items. The prices are super reasonable and the service is so nice. Evedybody has a sweet smile and a genuine gratitude towards all of those who are browsing around. They make you feel welcome. Or at least that's how I felt . The coffe itself caught my attention cause I had tried MANY lavender lattes before, but not one with activated charcoal. I was a bit skeptical before ordering tbh but as you can see in the pictures, IT IS activated charcoal. It doesnt taste like it though. I think the only observation is that I should've asked for it a little bit hotter but other than that, I am so glad I decided to take this route back home, cause I am MOST DEF going to come back here. First time back here in a few years. It's a super cute store with curated goods for yourself or a great place to buy unique gifts for people. They also serve tea and coffee. I ordered the peach charcoal lemonade and it didn't have that much of a lemonade flavor and near the last few sips, I tasted the charcoal powder so I didn't really like the end of the drinks. My family frequents coffee bars on the regular and we literally drive the extra mile to be able to get our Local Fixture fix. The staff is always so pleasant and friendly. The coffee is perfect temperature (whether hot or cold) and really tasty, I believe they use Stumptown. The icing on the cake is the actual store, which has such cool goods. Got a sweet bee hot latte, a sweet bee cold latte, a peppermint mocha cold brew, a coffee cake, a banana walnut chocolate chip bread, and a ham and cheese croissant. The cold brew was the only thing i was disappointed with. The coffee cake and banana bread were great, very moist and fluffy, and the croissant was crisp. Really enjoyed the sweet bee lattes, but would NOT recommend the cold brew - super watered down and just kinda gross. I love local fixture I buy most of my gifts from them because they have the cutest items & I love to support small businesses. But this time around I went in to check out the fall drinks & decor & I must say I did not feel very welcomed. I get it some of the staff was busy organizing but a simple hello or welcome would have been nice. Also at the coffee bar I ordered the chai tea pumpkin latte & it wasn't my fave it was pretty watery with limited pumpkin flavor. I do highly recommend the regular chai tea latte with almond milk it is really good. Upon arrival you'll notice so many little trinkets as it is a coffee stand within a little boutique. It is a lot to take in but a whole lot of fun to look at. The stand is located in the back right corner of the store. I asked the barista if the sweet bee was super sweet to which he told me it kinda is.
