I was looking for dodgers donuts to buy when I was recommended mother made donuts. They were making them for the World Series and I ordered a dozen and I have to say they not only looked amazing but tasted AMAZING. The frosting was so good and the donut was so light. I had to get donuts for a going away party for someone at work. I didn't know where to go but frequently see KTLA come by this location on my commute to work. I have to say that the hype is worth it! I come here once a year to get these donuts and it never disappoints! The owner and her daughter are literally the sweetest people and they deserve a good rating. Ktla is my favorite news station and I love that they are in support of this business because their donuts are really soft and delicious! I highly recommend! I think I found my new donut spot in Whittier! Besides the great selection, they have sandwiches and drinks too. For being in a small building, I didn't think it was that spacious inside. And just seeing how all the customers interact with the owners is awesome. Just from that alone, I would go back. But let me tell you, they also have creams puffs and coffee cake also. I haven't found a donut shop I liked since I moved to Whittier. Great thing is it's close to where I live. I was a little disappointed there wasn't any filling, but they didn't need any, they were delicious. Came here at around 4pm and they had no selection other than round chocolate donuts that they had about a dozen. Maybe I came too late and would have to give this place another try. Our go to donut shop, selection is always best early in the morning. This place is a neighborhood favorite, lots of traffic going in and out which is a good sign. The staff is always friendly, and greet you with a genuine smile. Our go to order is the iced coffee and 1/2 dozen donuts. They offer specialty donuts for each holiday, we love the Halloween, Christmas and Valentines ones best! I came in on Halloween morning to see if they had any Halloween-themed donuts available at the counter, and they did! The skeleton ones were a dozen for $30, and the purple/orange/black sprinkled ones were $1.50 each. Super reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to check out what they have for other holidays! The man who helped me provided exceptional service. My arms were full with two toddlers in tow, and he offered to carry my boxes of donuts out to my car. Thanks so much! read more
