I came to new donuts for a too good to go pick up order! For those that don't know, too good to go is an app created to help fight food waste and I love the fact that New Donuts participates! I got a box of donuts through the app of random variety. It came with a very nice mix of flavors from glazed to sprinkles with a few speciality donuts. The donuts were soft and pillowy with great flavor and texture! Not too oily (which is key for me when it comes to donuts) ! The service was very good. We were taken care of and made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. They were quick and efficient! We took our donuts to go but there were plenty of places to sit down and enjoy. Ordered through door dash. I got a ham and cheese croissant, maple bar, and a boba milk tea. I'm not a coffee drinker so I was really excited that they offer boba because I usually have to wait for boba shops to be open around 11am. Everything was good. The size of the ham and cheese croissant was crazy. I was only able to eat half of it for breakfast. The boba was good enough to satisfy my craving. It wasn't as good as you would get from a boba shop but for the price and the fact I could get it at 7am it was great. Maple bar was also delicious. Checked another donut shop off my to go list. New Donuts is the name of this local Mom & Pop donut shop in Whittier. I do not know how long the shop has been at this location, but they do not appear to be new. Well, at least the strip mall they are located in seems quite old or in need of some upgrading/remodeling. My usual flavors were sold out so I bought one of their Apple Fritters. Have to admit that their Apple Fritter was delicious. Had a good amount of apples in it unlike most donut shops. 5 stars for the Apple Fritter! They also happen to sell Lotto and Scratcher tickets. So, this is another reason to drop by. Donut time is all the time!!! I have a soft spot for mom and pop establishments and really like supporting our local businesses. With that I want to give props to their donuts and customer service which is both the deciding factor for me when decide to return to a donut shop. Donuts: The dozen that I bought were mixed of standard and premium donuts which made it tough to decide which was my favorite since the ones that I ate were all soft, fresh and delicious. Service: I want to note that the young man working the late shift was super cool and made small talk to me and the wife like he'd met us before which says a lot about how this business appreciates all customers. From the many different doughnut shops we've been to, this store was by far the best customer service I have every experienced in a doughnut shop. We had the pleasure of having Danny greet us. She asked us how our day was going, and offered us a coffee sample and a mini doughnut sample. She thanked us for being there. We were uncertain what to get, she was so patient, and so kind. We've been here almost once a week now since my original review. 1) They're consistent. Awesome doughnuts for a great price. 2) When they're out of small versions of apple fritters, they throw the huge ones in at no extra charge in my dozen. 3) We've tried a lot more variety. Everything is good 4) The buttermilk biscuit looking things. I have no idea what they're called. If you like buttermilk old fashioned glaze...these are awesome. 5) Their plain ol' glaze doughnut is great. These can often indicate how good a place is because it relies on perfect ingredients, recipe, and technique to stand out. Theirs do. 6) Cake doughnuts - again, great texture, flavor, and they're consistent. We've gone at all times of the day and they taste fresh. 7) They throw in a free doughnut! Sometimes they let me choose, sometimes they don't. It's a roulette that makes the trip fun. Or they throw in a 8-12 doughnut holes. Again, plain glaze, but really good. Bottom line. I have yet to try another place since my last review. Maybe I'm prone to high praise because we moved from Phoenix and they had crap doughnuts. But we tried two other places here and they were only so-so. This one isn't. It's great, and we'll continue going every other week or so. read more

Wow! What a great place. I went in this morning b/c the normal place I go to everyday was closed for New Years. I didn't really expect much. When I got there, the place was not only spotless but the donuts looked absolutely beautiful. The taste (I tried the donut holes and the twist) was a bit different from US donuts where I usually go but all in all, they were delicious. Super Super fresh!! The lady who helped me at counter was soooo nice! She even gave me 2 free croissants. I am totally a fan now! I'd definitely go back. I also like that they open at 3:30 instead of 5 like most shops.
