Super sweet shop owner not from the area and a friend suggested Jax. I was craving a raisin roll and so I called looking for one, only one left and she saved it for me, craving satisfied! Took a morning walk with my 3&5 year old granddaughters on Saturday Morning. We planned to sit and have donuts, milk and coffee for me. I was babysitting and my Daughter and Son in law have a fancy coffee maker that I can't figure out! . The 3 year old announced that she had to Pee. I asked to use the restroom, the girls behind the counter had a "whisper" conversation and announced they do not have a public restroom! How do you deny a 3 year old a bathroom. With the rise of big chains and businesses, we really try our best to buy from as many local mom and pop, family owned businesses as possible in our area. Many self owned businesses need a steady clientele. JAX have been doing it for a long time, I've seen many businesses in this same lot come and go, but Jax has been able to weather it all. It has been through a change of ownership over the years. However, The staff is always polite and ready to help and get you on the way. I found out recently, they are now serving ice cream as well, which I think is a great idea. They have sandwiches and drinks, there's a couple tables to sit at by the drinks inside. I wish nothing but the best for Jax and hope to see them for many years to come. read more

Finally made it to Jax Donuts about a month ago. My relatives have several dozen donut shops within 10 miles of their home. I've been trying to visit every one of them over the last several years. Based on this one single visit, Jax Donuts is a good choice. Dropped in one late morning, and their donut cases were all well stocked. So many lovely looking donuts. I did not notice any fancy schmancy "gourmet" donuts. Plenty of the classic traditional types though. Bought my usual Custard Filled Chocolate donut. It was delicious. Also bought one Orange cake donut. It was good too. Overall, it was a good first visit. Jax Donuts is a fine mom and pop type donut shop. Customer service was good. Prices were reasonable. Shop was clean. I recommend them if you are wanting to try a donut shop in La Habra. read more

I have been coming to this mom and pop place since I was little. I get my nails done in the same complex and every time I come in for a hotdog and a egg sandwich. The owners are so nice and the donuts here are just as exceptional. I love the ease of service and how quickly they get items out and everything is still reasonably priced. I have family who LOVE this place and friends who ADORE this place... even family from Denmark who always need to stop here while visiting our beautiful city (which is just about annually). Jax has been around for years and years and they do offer several types of donuts and are open on holidays. One of the donuts that (I guess) is unique to Jax is the 3-in-1 donut... it is just like it sounds and is 3 types of donuts all in one long "bar" type of donut (see my picture on Yelp). The donuts seem fresh but not over the top, out of this world, or unique in any way. Just a simple place to pick up a sweet treat. Although all positive when it comes to my experiences, I just will rate Jax with 3 stars. It's pretty much A-OK and worth stopping in if you want a donut and are passing by, but I won't go out of my way to pick one up here if I'm not within a close radius. I stop there once in a while. Yesterday I stopped by and noticed my car thermometer showed an outside temperature of 52 degrees, it was windy and sprinkling. I went inside and both doors were wide open and it was as cold in there as it was outside. Another guy she was waiting on commented on how cold it was in there and I said they must waste a lot of money on energy trying to keep this place warm. She waited on me and smiled and said have a nice day. I took my donut and coffee and was going to sit down but it was so cold I took it and ate it in my car. And the workers/owners are so nice. Got 5 donuts for about $5. Cheap prices, but the quality of these donuts are NOT cheap. You can tell this place puts love into their baked goods.
