My husband and I have been here a few times now. We've tried many of their menu options, including their mochi donuts, and the food is always great. Today I ordered the spicy Buldak half & half Korean corn dog, and my husband tried the Hot Cheetos half and half Korean corn dog. Both were delicious! However, the drinks are unfortunately overpriced for the amount that you get. My husband usually orders their brown sugar boba and enjoys it despite the price. I tried the Blueberry ade today and it was not very good, and definitely not worth the price. The inside of the shop was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff are friendly every time we visit and they have our order ready quickly. Overall we definitely recommend this location for the food, but maybe skip the drinks. So happy to hear they opened up a MochiNut in Whittier! Brought my boys here because they absolutely love Mochi Donuts. We tried every flavor, 3 different boba teas, and some of the corn dogs. The corn dogs took about 7 min to come out, but they were also very busy. Inside is very small, one table and one bar stool area but it was a nice day out so eating outside would have been perfectly fine as well. My fave today was the cookies and cream Mochinut. The shop is clean, but has the old sewer drain smell probably from the restroom. The corn dogs are good, but I wish they made them more unique by adding sugar and adding the dressing onto them like Korean style. What I don't like about Mochinut is how there are so many pre-made, and probably not fresh. How do you know they aren't a day old? They sure didn't taste as chewy and fresh and I wish they would take the time to make them when you order them. So glad to finally have a Mochinut in Whittier. I've been twice now and each time they've been very friendly and helpful. I also love that they sell individual donuts, and smaller variety options, which is something some of the other locations don't offer. I can't wait to come back when their rice dogs are being offered, the mozzarella is my favorite. We also ordered boba, but the Thai tea had a weird taste. I live in Whittier and a regular at the Mochinut at The Source in La Habra. Saw that there was one in Whittier and so my wife and I went over to give it a try over the weekend. Inside We were the only customers there. It was 90 degrees outside, and the AC wasn't on. I can see the sweat coming down the man's face and the air was warm and stuffy. There was also a scent. Nothing gross, but for a space that small, they need much better air circulation. Mochinut Ordered three different ones. Man were they small. They didn't have that soft chewy texture that Mochinut is known for, at least not like the ones at The Source. Flavors were way too western, too (funnel cake, ube with Fruity Pebbles). Corn dog We ordered the half and half (cheese and dog). It was okay. It looked pretty burnt on the outside. We were expecting a golden light brown exterior, but it was dark brown. I looked other corn dog photos from the Whittier branch and they all looked brown, so I guess it's normal to burn their corn dogs. Final thoughts Disappointed, and won't be coming here again. I don't think this branch will last long. No AC, warm and stuffy interior, and scrawny mochinuts. We were really rooting for this place to be good, but alas, we'll have to continue to the one at the Source. read more

The mochinut donut has a good amount of sweetness and a soft chewy texture, and half the calories of a regular donut --and you get yumminess in every bite. They rotate new flavors weekly, HOWEVER... they have recurring flavors: *original, *taro pebbles, *churro, *chocolate, *and cookies and cream The Korean "hotdog" (aka gamja hotdog) is bomb. Its kind of like a corn dog but completely different from American corn dog--what's different is the chewy texture (because the batter is made of rice(or yeast dough) and with loads of flavors and toppings you can add. I had heard from friends that this location wasn't very good, but decided I'd give it a try anyway. Maybe they'd gotten better after being open a while. I was sorely disappointed. I was the only person in the store when I went, which was around an hour after they opened. I'm guessing I might've been the first customer, as all the donuts were fully stocked, and I had to ask them if they could turn on the TVs that displayed the menu. Shouldn't this be a standard part of opening duties? I was a bit surprised that a single donut was nearly $4, but decided I'd try one, as well as the potato mozzarella corn dog. The corn dogs are made to order, so I was told it'd be about 7 min - no problem. What I was surprised about was that the cashier handed me the donut in the little square of paper he grabbed it with. Didn't ask if I was having it there or to go. How am I supposed to transport that? I had to ask for a bag to put it in. The corn dog came out within the 7 min time frame, and either they don't offer any condiments, or they're secret and you need to ask for them. This is the first Korean corn dog spot I've seen that didn't offer any, which is weird. It's also highly disappointing, considering how awful the corn dog was. I took it home, and it survived the approximately 15 minutes it took to get it from store to plate. It was still pretty warm which was nice. What was not nice was the flavor. It had no flavor other than grease. This is also the first Korean corn dog place I've seen that doesn't coat the dog in sugar. That wouldn't be a problem if there was any kind of detectable seasoning. Thankfully, I had some spicy ketchup at home, so I just dipped it in some of that, but it didn't redeem the hot dog. I would've just thrown the whole thing out, but I was hungry, and after paying over $7 for it, I was going to finish it. I also found the donut to be disappointing. I've had mochi donuts from other places, so I'm comparing to those. It was extremely sweet and also a bit dry, which tells me they'd been sitting out. They seemed dryer than just sitting out for an hour, so I'm wondering if they were even made the same day. I ate half and threw the rest away. Overall, I really didn't enjoy any part of it, and will not return. I'm surprised at how bad everything was considering the 4 star rating. Either I went on an off day, or a lot of people don't have very high expectations. If you enjoy greasy-tasting fried things, and overly sweet desserts, then this place is for you. read more

Saw this place and it seemed good. Went in & is such a cute little place. Looks clean. The muchinuts flavor of the day are right in the front display. The menu looked amazing everything just looked yummy. But unfortunately that was not the case. I knock out one star for the following reasons. One, the muchinuts taste stale, like they have been sitting there for a long time they were not fresh. Second, I order the brown sugar & the coffee boba. In the picture they looks awesome. They come in this cute plastic can. The coffee one was delicious but the brown sugar tasted more like egg than brown sugar it was nothing but milk. Yuck! Not what I was expecting.
