For starters - I am not into cold, sweet coffee drinks and my usual order at a cafe is either a cappuccino or a cortado. The barista who made my cortado at Mundae this morning made it perfectly. My biggest pet peeve about a lot of local coffee shops is when they don't froth the milk properly, and then they just give you a big cup or hot milk with a little espresso. (Looking at you, Charbuks!) So I will definitely be back for another cortado or a cappuccino, and hope to find consistent quality. Stopped in for the first time and loved it! I got the banana latte with the banana cream on top, and it was amazing. The cream was thick and creamy, and the banana flavor tasted fresh and real, not artificial at all. I also had a chocolate croissant (not pictured), and it was delicious. I love that they make their syrups and creams in house. You can really taste the difference. The girl at the counter was so friendly and helped me decide what to order. Baristas were friendly and made the drinks quickly, they also really care about if you like your drink and are willing to remake it if you don't. Cute spot with old times records on the walls. Came here with a friend after trying to find a coffee place where we could actually find parking at. She remembered this place was in an areas where we could actually park and wouldn't be crazy busy. This place took over another place recently so we decided to give it a try. My friend ordered the Spanish iced latte and I ordered the banana latte. Both of the drinks were very good. We also tried a s'mores croissant and it was also very good. It was decorated with some vinyl record and had nice seating area. Definitely a place to check out. read more

Cute little coffee shop that just opened here in Whittier. I got their espresso which was good and also the iced Spanish latte not bad just a bit too milky for my liking. They did not have pastries available during my visit but I have heard good things about them. Staff were super helpful and friendly and they gave me recommendations that I'm curious to try on my next visit. Great spot for coffee. Workers were nice and helpful. Got an Ice Americano with to extra shots. Was good but let it sit in my frog over night and the next day it was very tasty. Also got the Mundae Aerocano which was usually made cold but they were nice enough to try to make it hot. It hit the spot and was very good. Inside was nice, they just need to make use of the cold fridges they were empty when I went by. But I'm guessing that is only because they have been open for a little while. read more

I had the chance to stop by their grand opening weekend. It was a full house so congratulations to this new coffee shop! Customers service was great. The place looks amazing, love what they've done to it with the tables, couch, and decor. My husband and I ordered a hot Spanish latte, an iced ganache, and a chocolate croissant. I preferred the Spanish latte. It was on the sweeter side. More than I'm used to but it was good. We enjoyed the pastry. Definitely look forward to trying more menu items. read more

Stopped by here on Saturday morning which I believe was their second day in business. The vibes were really chill and they had a nice set up. I noticed they used homemade syrups which is great. I had a banana latte and it was subtle and not too sweet. The strawberry and banana matcha latte were also great and not too sweet. The customer service was on point. Everyone from the cashier to the baristas were really welcoming and nice. It did take a while for the drinks to come out, but this is expected considering they are just opening. I will definitely be back to try more of their drinks. The espresso is smooth and perfectly strong. read more

Love their coffee! This is my second time coming in, this time around I had their Salted Caramel Latte and their coffee cake muffin and they were delicious. The coffee had a great balance! The salted caramel flavor was perfect without losing the taste of the coffee! The muffin was warmed up and was nice & fluffy and not too sweet! The shop is so cute and has a few tables with outlets in close proximity for your electronics. The staff is super friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu! My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place and the drinks were absolutely delicious! We ordered their Banana Cream Matcha and their Mundae Aerocano, soooo good! It's so hard to stumble upon a good banana cream matcha in my opinion and this one was perfect! 10/10 And my girlfriend says her coffee was perfectly aromatic and smooth sailing! We had also ordered a Butter Croissant of theirs and it was so warm and fluffy and just the cherry on top of the drinks! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! My wife asked to go on a coffee date. Who am I to turn that down, especially when going somewhere new. Mundae has been open about a month and already has things figured out. I was sad when Lift in Uptown closed, but Mundae wins that H2H matchup hands down! Tried the Iced Banana Latte, Hot Honey Lavender Latte, Ganache Hot Chocolate and all are fire! We chatted with Nettie while she made matcha drinks from scratch, and she offered to make us a Strawberry Matcha to try it out - I've never much been a fan of Matcha but that drink was good enough for me to know that true Matcha lovers will absolutely enjoy Mundae's Matcha drinks. And Nettie mentioned that all syrups are made in-house. Always a plus, as this made the taste of each drink that much better, none of that over-sweet factory bottled stuff at Starbies. The music is at a reasonable level to still hold a conversation without raising your voice. The only possible (minor) downside is although there is some indoor seating, there is space for more, so hopefully now that they're open and business stays good, they can add another table or two. But this place is on point with atmosphere, quality, customer service - an all around good vibe! read more

Great service from staff. Ended up talking a bit with Netty. The ambiance is a lot nicer than it has been the past. Seems like they can use another couple of tables though. I like how they added a bunch of electrical outlets along the sitting area. Looks like soon they will start stocking the wall long glass door refrigerator with local items. As far as the coffee, first time I ordered the Brown sugar latte with half the sweetness and added a shot of espresso, whole milk. Very delicious. Maybe a tad strong on espresso. Second time I didn't add the shot and it was too weak. They gave me an extra shot on the house which was very nice of them. Wife had the Americano without the sweetener and she loved it. I didn't notice any pastries or food items so I'm not sure what's happening there. Will for sure be coming back. read more

I ordered the iced vanilla latte with oatmilk and extra sweet and it tastes better than the vanilla latte from Starbucks. The matcha lavender honey latte was very good and sweet enough. I also ordered a Hot Spanish latte with oatmilk, it was subtle, not super strong (very smooth) and you can taste the cinnamon. My friends and I LOVVVED the drinks and will be going back. read more

There was also about a 15-20 minute wait, though to be fair, it was quite busy. The shop itself is cute, but the space is very small and gets extremely loud. With only three tables and a usually steady flow of people, if there's even the shortest of lines, you won't have a place to work, study or hangout.
