Was eating kbbq next door and noticed their matcha sign outside the store so decided to get drinks here after we were done eating. I got their strawberry matcha. I'm very picky when it comes to strawberry matcha because I've had some where the strawberry is too over powering that I can't taste the matcha. Their strawberry matcha was honestly delicious. I like that their strawberry wasn't too overpowering so I could still taste the matcha. I love that they add fresh strawberry bits inside as well! Make sure to give it a good mix!!

    Is this considered shaved ice?

The shave ice looked nothing like the usual style; the texture was wrong and not enjoyable.

Food: 7/10 Service: 7/10 Ambiance: 6/10 Maybe I was expecting the walnut pastries to be more fresh, especially because they were made today. I love cocohodo, so I thought the quality would be better, but it was just so mushy.. I'm still going back because I LOVE walnut pastries, but I'm hoping the quality will be better the next time I go. I did go close to closing, so I will try again.

I love their cocohodo, which makes a nice gift for everybody, and they have a variety of drinks as well.

    Green tea latte

I ordered a green tea latte that was incredibly bitter and undrinkable. The powder was floating in clumps. We asked if we could switch drinks because we physically could not drink it, but the servers were dismissive and rude. I then asked for a cup of milk to at least dilute the powder, but it did not do anything to help with the horrendous taste. Would not recommend coming here.

I miss when this location was back in Garden Grove. Thankful I ran into it to reminisce on the amazing pastries! I got the Mini Small Box (12 pieces). These pastries are filled with a perfect mix of red bean and walnuts. Not too sweet and just the right portion for a crunchy and soft bite. It's delicious when you eat it warm and good for 1-2 days after when heated, but nothing beats the first bite. Order the right amount so you can avoid reheating!

Came across this unique little bakery while rushing to get home after kbbq since we were on a bit of a time crunch and an hour away from home. But! Decided to take a peek and try this place! Service was quick, we immediately ordered a little bag of 10 pieces as soon as we walked into this cute little bakery/cafe. Didn't have a clue as to what we were ordering but it was interesting enough for us to try! They're basically little moon cakes? That's what I can compare them to. Walnut shaped, red bean filling, and with a walnut inside for extra texture and crunch. Delicious and warm as soon as they give it to you! It definitely wasn't as good the next day but eating it fresh was super delicious! Love that they're also individually wrapped so it's easily shareable. Definitely want to check out what other stuff they have next time we're in the area! IG: @ammysalamii

These are everywhere so decided to finally give it a try. They sell these pastry balls with redbean and a walnut inside. Hard to believe that one can do a multi location business with those but here we are. The pastries are pretty good actually. Individually wrapped with smallest package of 10 for $7. Ice afternoon snack. This location also sells ices, camaroons, and of course various coffees. Seating available inside and out so pleasant to hang out and snack. Service was friendly.

    Very Berry Shaved Ice

Food 4/5 Ordered the Very Berry Shaved Ice and Strawberry Smoothie. The shaved Ice was very good, I'm usually not a fan of red bean but I didn't mind it in here. Just wish both were a little bit sweeter, but the fruits were refreshing. Ate after KBBQ next by, always room for desert! Customer service friendly and patient.

    Sea salt coffee for $6
    Wendy X.

The coffee here is pretty good, especially if you're already in the plaza, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. It's a solid option for a quick caffeine fix, but nothing that stands out enough to make it a destination spot.

came up to us with attitude saying we have to purchase something... before sitting down on the chairs (outdoor) we just sat down! mid shave ice, with rude owners!

Besides that, just the vibe of the place now is very uncomfortable. If anything, I'll just start ordering online/pick up from now on. But when the lowest suggested tip starts above and beyond a "normal" amount, it feels less like a suggestion and more like pressure. Very Disappointing Experience -- Poor Customer Service…read more A friend of mine came to visit from out of state, and since she had been looking forward to having Korean patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) while visiting the U.S., we decided to go to Sulbing. We ordered patbingsu, bungeoppang (Korean fish-shaped pastry), and an iced café latte. All three items were placed together on one tray. Before eating, I took a picture to post on Instagram. Then, when I picked up the iced latte to take a sip, the lid came off because it had not been properly secured, and the entire drink spilled all over my clothes. I immediately told the staff that the lid had not been properly closed. Instead of apologizing or offering any help, the employees insisted that they had definitely closed it properly and that they had heard the lid "click." They basically said it was not their fault. What was even more upsetting was that they then walked into the kitchen and left us without offering any assistance at all. We asked for something to clean up the mess, but they told us that the tissues were outside and that it was self-service. They simply handed me a mop and expected me to clean everything myself. I was honestly shocked by the lack of basic courtesy and customer service. I went to the restroom and tried to clean my clothes with water as best I could. When I came back out, I saw the two employees inside the kitchen laughing and chatting together. At that point, I was extremely upset. Despite everything, I stayed because my friend had traveled a long way and had really wanted to try the patbingsu and bungeoppang. We tried to enjoy our food, but the whole experience left a very unpleasant impression. Later, when I looked again at the latte photo I had taken for Instagram before the spill, I could clearly see that the lid was not properly sealed. I don't usually write negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I felt I needed to share it. Mistakes can happen, and I would have understood if the staff had simply apologized and tried to help. What was most upsetting was the attitude afterward -- no apology, no assistance, and no basic courtesy. I will not be returning to this location.

When you get the app, you can also get $5 automatically applied to your first app purchase. If you ever signed up for their rewards program before downloading the app, they import your points from your phone number account :). My only mild complaint is that the timed order- for-later request did not seem to make too big a difference, as my drink was probably ready 25 minutes early. Better early than late, though! Staff were friendly and informative as always. Shop had a few customers seated inside and outside, so there was plenty of room to study or sit a while. It was a bit cold for me, so probably a good place if you want some strong AC. Music seemed like a millenial-pleasing alternative-y mix: good for nondistracting background sound. Honey Bori Latte is one of my favorite seasonals anywhere! Loved it as intended at full sweetness (not too sweet) and still loved it at less sweet (recommend if enjoying with a bread or pastry imo). I like most specialty barley drinks. Default is dairy, so I assume there would still be some even if made with oat milk ($1 extra). I love the crunchy wheat snack topping, and it kind of reminds me of the cocoa puff topping in that black caf latte in Dland/Galaxy's edge. Will be back!

Yet recently I've been coming and truly haven't been enjoying it the same. I used to come and study or work as I enjoyed their drinks and baked goods. The environment is usually buzzing with more people working or studying or groups of people talking. Their pastries are always good and yummy which is a BIG hit. Yet I am a big coffee person, the quality of the coffees and drinks have gone down hill a lot. I would always order the Campfire latte or the Smoking Spaniard latte (when it still had cardamom in it) and would LOVE it. But now when I order drinks, most of them aren't very good or are missing flavors. The Smoking Spaniard is still yummy yet it used to be sooo much better back in the day, now it taste more like a regular spanish latte. I always see the new seasonal drinks and menu and get so excited to try them just incase I find a new favorite. Most of them have been a miss sadly :( The fruit lattes and drinks from their seasonal menu usually has actual chunks of fruit in it which makes it hard to drink and you have to chew while drinking a latte ;( not my fave. I went in yesterday to try their summer '26 seasonal drinks which is Yakult! I was sooo excited. A blueberry Yakult matcha latte! yummy! I got there, got a new earl grey lemon loaf from the bakery, got my blueberry Yakult matcha latte and sat down to try. Sadly, it didn't hit... the blueberries are still super chunky so I had to use 2 different straws because my first one got stuck with blueberries in it. The Yakult foam was really good but the blueberries weren't :( I HIGHLY recommend when making fruit syrups for coffee, boil down the fruit and blend it or strain out the big pieces. I sadly have stopped really coming to Smoking Tiger so often because I haven't been impressed and other coffee shops have been popping up that has better quality now :( Smoking Tiger has been focusing more on quantity of stores rather than quality of their food and drinks.

I ordered an iced caramel latte, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The espresso was rich and flavorful, while the caramel added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the drink. I also loved that they use coffee ice cubes, it kept the latte from getting watered down, and honestly, I thought it tasted even better as it sat. The staff was friendly, and our drinks came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. The only downside was the atmosphere. It's a very small shop with seating for maybe 20 people inside, plus 4 small two-person tables outside (without any shade). When we visited, almost everyone else was working on laptops, so it didn't feel like the best place to sit and chat. The music was also fairly loud and mostly K-pop, which didn't really match the coffee shops aesthetic and made conversation a little more difficult. Parking was probably my biggest complaint. There are only four dedicated parking spots, and the surrounding residential street parking was completely packed. I ended up parking in the chicken restaurant's lot across the street. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the coffee, it was genuinely one of the better iced caramel lattes I've had. If you're looking to grab a quality drink to go, I'd highly recommend it. Just be prepared for limited seating and a challenging parking situation.
