Recently had a disappointing experience at this location. We placed our usual order through the app for pickup, and arrived ~10 min after our pick up time. We stood at the counter waiting, but no one acknowledged us. One employee came over to place another customer's drinks on the counter, called their name, and walked away without checking whether we were waiting for a pickup order. A second employee eventually came over, quietly asked for our name, handed us the drinks, and immediately returned to what he was doing. We thanked him, but didn't receive a response. I understand that everyone was busy or has off days, and I don't expect lengthy interactions. However, a simple greeting, acknowledgment, or "I'll be right with you" goes a long way toward making customers feel welcomed. Having two different employees interact with us without basic customer service made the experience feel impersonal. I've been a Tastea customer for almost two decades, which is why this stood out to me. I'm sharing this as constructive feedback in the hope that management can reinforce the importance of customer service, even during busy periods. read more

This is my go-to spot!! My favorite drinks are all their fruity teas and slushies -- they never miss. The service is always quick and friendly. The only downside is that the self-service kiosk doesn't allow substitutions for things like strawberry or peach bits on certain drinks when you're trying to do a replacement. The ambiance is nice, with about four small tables for seating and a restroom available. They also have some new items on the menu funnel stick things and pizza rolls!!! read more

What can I say? The drinks here are Tastea! My usual drink here is their a tiger milk, tea medium sweet with less ice. It's sweet and delicious and I really love the custard that they put in the drink. If you add Boba just know that it's going to be extra sweet. And of course I had to get their popcorn chicken. I love that it comes with fried basil, but the last time I went there and got their spicy popcorn chicken it wasn't as spicy as it usually is. The service there is always great. They're always friendly and patient with us when we order our food and drinks. The place is always clean and another plus is that their app is so easy to use and you get points that you can add up for free items. read more

Can't believe I haven't written a review of this place yet. This is my go to boba place when I'm in Buena Park. All their flavors I've had so far have been good. My kids favorite is peach me freezee which has large chunks of actual fruit. My youngest son was not in the mood for his usual peach me freezee and wanted a milk tea without caffeine which other places have their own version of. They didn't quite have that here but one of the employees recommended winter melon milk tea for a non caffeinated milk tea. We were iffy about it and the employee kindly offered to make it and if my son didn't like it he could choose a new flavor. Luckily my son really liked it- creamy milky refreshing drink without the caffeine. Can join their reward point system through their app. read more

I've been going to Tastea since I was college. It was my go to Boba spot before other spots started popping up. I would normally go to either the Rowland Heights or Garden Grove locations back then. I'm so glad they opened up this location just down the street from me! In all honesty I go to Tastea at least once a week and they never disappoint. The staff is always so friendly and even when they're busy the service is still pretty quick and spot on. This visit I got one of regular go to drinks: Peachme Sweetea. All drinks come full sweet so make sure to adjust it to your liking. They also recently introduced the Spuddies and I was curious to try it out. They were cheesy and a great snack to go along with your drink! Plenty of parking as it is shared with other businesses. Great place for a quick sweet tooth craving! I came on a Sunday before noon, and there was no wait or line! My drink was prepared quickly, and the worker was nice. I got the 20oz Banana Matcha ($6.83), and I enjoyed it! I asked for less ice and yes top off, which was fulfilled. I wanted to try their matcha because for the size of their drinks I think their prices are very fair, especially since they use ceremonial grade. The banana cream was yummy, but I couldn't really taste any matcha, which tends to happen with flavored matcha drinks. My pro-tip: ordering 'less sweet' is the way to go to get the perfect balance. The quality & customer service have gone downhill at this location and it makes me so sad. They never fill their drinks all the way to the top anymore, they give extra ice drinks with less than regular amounts of ice, and the workers are Gen Z, blank stare, non-customer service-trained employees, with dismissive attitudes. It's disappointing to see such a lack of care and professionalism at a place that used to be reliable and enjoyable. Tastea is one of my favorite boba spots. It is a chain located all throughout LA and Orange County and I always get the peach me freezy with the honey boba. I also really enjoy their karate chicken here but for the price that you pay for the portion is very very small. I wish that the portion was almost double for paying nearly $15+ for this appetizer. The quality of the drinks has gone down in the past month. For a 32oz drink with less ice and no top off, my cup was filled just under 3/4 of the way. Meanwhile my other drink with regular ice I watched the worker put 2 1/2 scoops of ice which was insane. I'm paying for tea not ice. On top of that, I watched him pour the extra drink made into another cup for himself. So, the last time I came here at night, the vibes were good. But this time, the girl at the register looked so unhappy. Like I understand the pain of working Saturdays, but there wasn't really much of a line. She did ask about sugar level, so I asked for light. And they have a rewards program through a mobile app, so she asked for that, too. My order came out before the people in front of me though, it seems. However, I think I received the wrong drink? Maybe I misheard my name and got the wrong drink. Anyway, I ordered the ooh la la with lite sweetness, but the drink doesn't quite taste as anticipated. I guess I started writing this when they first opened and never finished, but it is still true! I'm hooked. I'm so glad there's a new and TASTY Tastea nearby. Everything my family and I have tried have been winners. My non-milk tea drinking husband accidentally sipped some of my classic milk tea with honey boba and after his initial freak out, realized it didn't taste bad at all. I have my personal favorites that are always consistent in taste. The servers are usually quite kind and very efficient. The location is clean and a comfortable place to sit in for a little while. My only thing I don't care for is their ube milk tea. It doesn't taste like a flavorful ube, but their tiger milk tea, classic milk tea, ohh la la blend, strawberry drinks, mango, peach me sweetie, all so tasty!
