I've been coming a few times to Tacos El Rey and it never disappoints! Service is great, I usually call before to place my order and eat it at the restaurant. The staff are nice and polite. The food is great! I've ordered the tacos dorados and the camarones al mojo de ajo so far and I no complaints, I truly enjoy the food. The facility is clean and well located. read more

Came by for asada tacos, $2.99 ea , lil tortillas , which i like! The Al pastor was good too, i asked for "doradita" (pastor lil more crispy). They give you green and red salsa. I'd def come back. Service is really good, everyone is so nice. The music they play is good too, sets the vibe. You find yourself singing along. read more

Fast Mexican for a good price! I came here late at night to get some dinner and for the price it was pretty good. I got their Birria burrito along with some tacos for my partner. Their taco's are street taco size so get alot if you want a full meal. The reason for the loss of one star is mainly their birria. Its not too flavorful like birria should be, but it still will be a satisfying meal when hungry. The service here is great, our food came out in a timely manner and the server made sure we had all the sauces we could have (They have salsa rojo, salsa verde, and an avocado salsa). All their sauces were great compliments to the food, but my favorite was their salsa verde. Theres enough seating inside to dine in or you can take it to go and eat in the car. The parking situation is a little weird, but we were able to find a parking spot near the gas station located in the same little plaza. If you are looking for some late night Mexican, give this place a try! read more

I normally don't write reviews, but when something is this delicious, it deserves to be recognized! I've always seen Tacos El Rey on my way to work, so one day I decided to give it a try. I started with their asada burrito, and it was amazing. Then another day, I tried their asada torta. OMG, that torta was so delicious!! I'ma be real, I've never had a torta like this. Everything inside was on point! Ever since I tried this place, I always go back for the asada torta! read more

We also got a asada burrito, asada quesadilla and asada tacos dorados and all were fantastic. Food was fresh and employees were so friendly! We will definitely be back! read more

I've been to the other location which is nearby and this place is just as great. I ordered their chicharron pork plate and it was delicious. The pork was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent. The tacos I got were also delicious, carne asada and carnitas. An overall awesome lunch and I was very satisfied. I'd definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. read more

I think I ordered the wrong thing. I went with tacos (asada, pastor, and chicken) and the best thing I can say about them, is that they were edible. This is in light of the fact that I was famished. Their salsas were okay. They lacked so much flavor. Very watery. Everyone in here was so nice though. I really really really wanted to like this place. But Yelpers, you led me astray on this one. After reading the reviews carefully,People come here for the plated food, like the chili verde, burritos mojados, birria. Also, for the tacos de papa dorados. I wish I would have ordered one of these. Steer clear from the tacos people. Go with the plated food and tacos dorados or anything on the "popular dishes" tab in your yelp! read more

Came by to pay a visit and have noticed they have changed their view. Very inviting and homey as if we going out on a nice picnic date. I love how it's more brighter now. Finally I was able to enjoy my Jamaica, was pregnant so I stayed away from it. It really hit the spot. Their burritos were flavorful and that being said, my husband ate it in 3-4 bites while telling me he has to slow down and breathe.. he forgot instantly. Cashier and cooks and busser they were super friendly. We are so thankful they had high chairs. Our baby felt included in our little food date. Thank you for your service! read more

great food but please lower the music. i love this place but i thnk twice before going because the music is way to loud

We love the durado chicken tacos! Our favorite place to get homemade food! We order from here all the time.

So, I decided to buy from here since it was convenient being that it is close to home. The food was good but I won't be going back because they serve very small portions of food for what they cost. For example, the birria plate I ordered for carry out was served in a small plate and the food portions were a joke. The birria that was served was literally 5 little pieces of meat. The plate did not have enough food for the $16 they charge. Other places that charge the same have more food. read more

This spot doesn't look like much from the outside, is a hole-in-the-wall, and right next to an auto body shop. Everything I've ordered here tastes fresh and consistent. I usually order the carne asada huaraches or the carne asada nachos with a fresh juice beverage (usually watermelon). If you're in a hurry call them and order ahead before you pick-up. They are pretty quick. Parking can be difficult when they are busy. There's only about 4 parking spots in front of the building but I haven't had an issue with finding parking. read more

This place is a must. I had their flautas, aka taquitos. They are great, I try to stay from big chain restaurants when it comes to food like this. The torta of milanesa (breaded steak) was also very well put together and worth getting. Usually hole in the wall places have the best most tasty food. The service was arguably the most sincere customer service I've had in a very long time. read more

My Father an I went to El Rey for dinner. My dad ordered a # 1 Flautas Combination plate. With no sour cream. But with guacamole. And he maid sure to say guacamole 3 times to the cashier. The cashier said yes and then took my order. We get home to eat and and my dad opens his food to find taquitos. With no guacamole. He is like I did not order this. I call El Ray. And a man answers and then transfers me to someone else. So I explain him the situation. And he is not apologetic or even trying to fix the situation. He just say Flautas are taquitos. I said yes but one is maid with corn and the other is flower. And he says they don't do guacamole. But that's weird. The number 1 picture shows the combination with guacamole and sour cream in the picture. So I said thats false advertisement. And that my dad pacifically said he wanted to guacamole three times. The cashier should've said something right away. Not agreeing with him. After about 10 mins going back and forth forth the person on the phone still did not trying to even once fix the situation or the problem. Did not try to offer anything just said what he said and hung up. So honestly I would not recommend this place. They come off friendly but they don't care about their customers or even if customers ever return. read more

I moved away for a short while and was delighted to get this spot back into my regular rotation. Posting a draft I started a couple weeks ago and decided to finish tonight. The food was exactly the same - delicious! There was a change in the regular face at the register in my recent visits. Monica has taken over but the elders of the family were seated and having dinner - that is how legit the food is here. Too good and too close so I'll be back again and again. read more
