this the bomb, like the carne asada is marinated and seasoned and the fries are loaded up with sauce. fresh smooth and citrusy guac. pico. HELLA meat like meat for every bite and it had me picking out every piece hell yeah im definitely coming back here service was fast and friendly, she gave me two salsas and i was licking that up fr i also asked for beans on the side which was a good move bc i like them crispyyyy and yes they were crispy and light mmm but the beans were fire, some pinto beans on the side hella generous with it, normally $17 would be a lil pricey for carne asada fries but hella worth the quality here very clean inside and youll be SUPER lucky if u go catch this wonderful jazz band playing in the beer garden (here on sunday evening) def check it out

Located within the Whittier Brewing House hall lots of seating inside with some pinball machines. This spot is located in the back corner near the restaurants. Don't let the location fool you, this place was SO good! The food came out quick, and the cashier let us switch out our loaded fries with al pastor The meal was very fulfilling, agua Fresca veryyyy refreshing, and the salsa was SO good!! If you've read my other reviews you know how much I'm a spice lover. This hot sauce is really good and doesn't lose flavor with the kick. Flavor 8/10 spice 8/10

Finding vegan restaurants can be a challenge, so I was thrilled to discover this spot. Everything on the menu is plant-based, and the food was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. The 'meat' alternatives were incredibly tender, and the variety offered was much appreciated. It's located inside Whittier Brewery, with street parking and a nearby metered parking lot available. Service was fast. They share the space with other vendors, noise levels high.

Thanks to Yelp we found this place!. We got the 4 taco combo with 4 different"meats" and Carne Asada big burrito. Absolutely delicious and so flavorful. Don't let the vegan name fool you. It's better and more flavorful than the real deal. Located in the Whittier Brewing Company Building. Very reminiscent of Manhattan city. Cafeteria style place plenty of seating. Great to come for lunch or dinner for a date or casual meet up. Samantha was super helpful and so kind. I highly recommend checking it out!

Food was amazing would go back again service was really good very clean place. Nice people

They really didn't care about presentation of the food. This is how it looked when I got it.

I have tried all their food including all the proteins. I would say that they have a Good size torta. Cons: Pricing is over the top. I would rank it as the 2nd best Mexican vegan food in SoCal. 3rd best Vegan Mexican food spot in California.

The food here is always fresh and delicious! Fresh pressed tortillas. Full flavored vegan protein options. Generous serving of guacamole with each order. Salsa is phenomenal! The staff is welcoming and friendly. The brewery is living and busy on the weekend. Must try even if you aren't vegan.

    Vegan burrito and nachos

Yes yes yes!!! Finally good vegan food that satisfies my cravings I highly recommend giving this place a try even if you're not vegan. My non-vegan partner devoured that burrito. I loved their Al pastor meat and carne. I almost accused them of giving me real meat because of how good it was!! 10/10 will be back again and again.

I remember being reluctant to try since it was vegan and now I'm a fan. The food is always filling and nothing has disappointed me. 10/10 on the burritos.

THE BEST MEXCIAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD VEGAN OR NOT! Sam took my order, she was so kind and sweet. The list of proteins to choose from is vast, the flavors are insane. I tried their extra spicy salsa, if you can handle it, it's soooooooooo good. I'm already craving MORE! Ughhh I can't wait to come back!!!!!

Delicious vegan food with quick service. This is one of a few restaurants featured in a food court with some nice outdoor seating options.

We were…read moredoing a bon voyage dinner for my nephew as he ventures off to his master's program out of state, and we were able to make last minute reservations. I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

We didn't get her name but she had glasses and septum nose piercing. She was more accommodating at then end but we were very off put at the beginning and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Our server at our table was the complete opposite. Very attentive and made the group less angry with our initial treatment. Wish I got her name to share. The desert and cocktails were nice but due to the service it did not make up for the overall experience. Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? Gave more juice Peach Bellini 4.5/5 - table side pour is nice touch and rest of bottle was nice. Syrup has a sourness but mixed in with Bellini and gelato and tasted just right. Melontini - 2.5/5 light, somewhat good flavor but nothing memorable. Ambience seems nice but it can be loud inside with open floor plan.

He said it was hard to get good vegan options in the area. I'm not vegan, so I ordered the chow mein, orange chicken, and cha siu, and I was very pleased with my food. The portions are very generous. The price is very reasonable for the economy and also for a small business. Meat was a little crispy and perfectly tender. I enjoyed it so much that I went back the following day. For that reason, I feel it is important to provide a factual account of what occurred. I visited the restaurant to place several combo orders. During the ordering process, the employee assisting me asked if she could briefly step away to get some water. I agreed without issue. When she returned, her demeanor and tone came across as annoyed, frustrated, and dismissive. In an effort to make the ordering process easier, I suggested that we complete the orders one at a time so that it would not feel overwhelming. I also commented that the interaction was not great customer service. The employee immediately responded by stating that she suffers from panic attacks and suggested that my comment meant I was uncomfortable with her medical condition. I explained that I had no knowledge of her medical history and that my feedback was directed at the customer service experience, not at any personal or medical matter. The discussion then shifted away from the order itself. I was told that I was shaming and invalidating her medical condition. I reiterated that I was addressing the service I was receiving and had no way of knowing anything about her medical history before it was disclosed to me. During the conversation, the employee raised her voice. When I calmly asked that she not raise her voice at me since I was not raising mine at her, she responded, "I will raise my voice if I want." The employee also made comments suggesting that I believed I could speak to people a certain way because of "corporate" culture and stated that "here we are all equal." I had never mentioned my occupation, employer, position, or social status at any point during the interaction. These comments appeared unrelated to the issue being discussed and were based on assumptions rather than anything I had said. Despite the disagreement, I still intended to complete my purchase and continue placing my order. Instead, the employee turned to another staff member and stated, "Cancel their order. We're not serving them." I then asked to speak with management in hopes of resolving the matter professionally. The employee scoffed and informed me that she was management. Shortly thereafter, I was instructed to leave the establishment. My concern was never that an employee may have a medical condition. My concern was the manner in which a customer-service concern was handled. Customers cannot reasonably be expected to know an employee's medical history, and feedback about service should not automatically be treated as a personal attack. Professionalism requires addressing concerns respectfully, even when there is disagreement. What disappointed me most was not the disagreement itself, but the decision to escalate the situation, make personal assumptions, raise one's voice, refuse service, and ultimately remove a customer who was still attempting to complete a purchase. Given the many positive experiences I have had here over the years, this outcome was surprising and disappointing. I hope ownership reviews this incident carefully and places greater emphasis on professionalism, communication, and conflict resolution moving forward.

Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!
