We were looking for something quick and casual to eat and saw this Habit. Last time I had the habit, the one in La Habra, I got sick so I've avoided trying another one. Today I was feeling adventurous and willing to try a different location. Parking was easy during a late lunch and queue to order. We used the screens to order and it was weird to be asked for tip when you placed your order and you grab your order to take to the table. Nevertheless, I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich as it sounded interesting and I wanted seafood. From the sides, the onion rings were my favorite followed by the green beans. Onion rings were big and freshly fried so very crisp. The green beans were also very crisp and tasty. The fries were just ok, not my favorite. My burger was really good with the ahi tuna slightly cooked but a little pink in the center. I would definitely get this again! The reason for the missing stars in my review is to do with the lack of cleanliness in the dining area. There were multiple dirty tables inside and outside. We had to kind of clean our table before we got our food which goes back to why ask for tip? They have 2 gender neutral restrooms and both were not great with missing paper towel and kind of dirty. I gave this location a chance after 3 years. This place is a disaster. The cashier was upset, giving customers a bad attitude and not making eye contact with anyone. I ordered a Cesar salad with ahi tuna. The tuna was over cooked. The salad was made with the same chopped lettuce they use in their burgers. Never had I ever received it this way. No lemon available. When asked they said "this is all we have" and gave me a dried lemon end. Onion rings sat in the counter for a good 10 mins before I received my meal. I didn't complain. I feel like habit is so under rated. We came here recently to take advantage of their "grown up meal" promo and I had forgotten how good their burgers are. The service was pretty good too as well as the cleanliness of the dining area. The quality of the food has plummeted suddenly. My family has been having a special night out at The Habit once a week for years and now we can't go there. I'm so disappointed. The serving sizes are 3/4 what they used to be. Little tiny burgers, little bowl of wilty salad. Soggy fries. I took my dad here today on Saturday June 28, 2025 and this place was very nice and the order taker was super sweet and even brought out food to our table because we are disabled and we order the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and mine was with Teriyaki Sauce and my dads was with BBQ Sauce and we order Fries no Salt and Onion Rings no salt and had a Dragon Fruit a drink and Strawberry Lemonade and this food was the Best. I'm NOT rating one star because I waited 15 minutes to have my curbside order brought out before I had to get a baby out of the car to go inside to find out where my order was. Once inside, my order was sitting on the counter, however on a Friday night, very busy, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON working the counter and two cooks in the back. There was NO ONE ELSE, just the ONE person doing his best to take and package orders for the customers. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and I truly felt sorry for this guy. He was polite and had my order remade since it was cold and had been sitting quite a while. He brought the completed order out to my car. I want to commend this young man for "holding down the fort" under very adverse working conditions for him and admonish whoever the manager is for not staffing this restaurant properly on a busy Friday at dinner time. I guess I'm going to rant about the process of the franchise and not this store itself! The whole call center ordering deal SUCKS. I called, I gave them my credit card number because they said that's how you do phone orders for pick up. The first person I talked too, said it went through and just hung up. I called back, to check if it went through and they confirmed it did. Sent my husband to pick up the order, apparently there was no phone order and my payment didn't go through. So I have to wait extra time and have him place a whole other order. I do appreciate the manager helping my husband out! Yet when they delivered the item, the birthday burger was nowhere to be seen. Worse yet, not only did the app delete the offer after being "used," the app's "past orders" tab also doesn't work, meaning I can't use the offer in a future order, or even show the restaurant that I ordered with the birthday offer! The Habit at Whitwood Center is a great place for Burgers and Sandwiches. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is perfectly marinated and seasoned. It is served on a Buttered Ciabatta Bun that is Grilled.
