We got lucky!!!! The roller skating server was there! I've from other yelpers her presence is 50/50. I love everything about this except I wish I lived closer to it! The joint serves classic diner food! The kids meal options are a great value and portion size but those car cutouts are extra! You can pic from nuggets, burger and grilled cheese. You also get fries too! Fried zucchini bomb! Breakfast burrito the size of my fat arm and definitely worth every bite. The Frisco burger is also a delight with so many layers and textures. Chili cheese fries hit the spot. Milk shakes!!! It's soo good! You literally see the ladies behind the counter scooping real ice cream from tubs to make their shakes. I can't decide which one I enjoyed more but loved the cookie, Oreo and chocolate. Inside is a 50's carhop with squished Cadillacs! Everything was how I imagined it would be. My kids loved it! Our first time there, was exited for the experience the 50's ambiance vibe, BUT we WERE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED... as we walked in we had to place our order at the front counter, (would have prefer to have been waited on like in the "Happy Days" show) than would have been a nice surprise. To our surprise only 1 server was in 50's uniform - and seems like she lacked roller skating abilities. The cooks too were in plain clothes -would have been cool to have them in 50's diner uniforms. Drive thru associate was in plain jeans all in black and the cashier as well, they did Not contribute to the vibe. Also the main eating area was dirty, patrons were cleaning ("car washing") the tables themselves, floors had stepped on fries, (note- there was only about 6-8 patrons) within that 1 hour plenty of time to have associates clean the area. . This place is easily visible from the street, and there's plenty of parking around the building! If you want that classic "car hop" diner spot, this is definitely the place to go. You walk in and the 50's vibe is so much fun! The posters are literally my favorite thing. Also, the car tables where you look like you're sitting in a car itself, I love that so much! Service was great, they made sure that you have everything you need, double check your orders, etc. We started off with the Cobb Salad, it was a hefty size, even for a half salad. Filled with all the goodness of a cobb salad. For the Salad dressing, we got the Chipotle Ranch, which was a perfect pairing. For our mains, we ordered the Pastrami Sandwich and a Bacon Cheeseburger. For the price there was a good chunk of pastrami packed into it. It was juicy and great every bite. The bacon cheeseburger was also really good, the bacon was that perfect crisp and the buns had that light toast on it. For the sides, we got the cruiser fries and the chili cheese fries. They're the same size as the cobb salad. So a good portion. The fries are perfectly seasoned and has a nice crisp to it. The chili had a good spice to it, and I loved the crumbly bacon on the cruiser fries. Order....the....milkshake, I don't care if you take it home to enjoy later, but please do it. The mint chocolate shake was like having Andy's Chocolate Mints, which is one of my top 5 candys (Like come on, one of the best endings to Olive Garden right?). We had dinner here the other night. There is plenty of parking available. The restaurant has a fun 1950s vibe complete with rollerskating carhops and car booths. They have breakfast and great American diner classic food offerings. We had a pastrami sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger. There is so much pastrami packed into the sandwich. The bacon cheeseburger had soft buns, a perfectly cooked patty and crispy bacon. We also got a half order of the chicken Cobb salad. It is a good size for two people and get the Chipotle Ranch dressing. We also got an order of chili cheese fries and cruiser fries. The fries are nice and crispy. Came here this evening and had such a great experience. First off, the inside is so cute! It's has a classic 50s-style diner vibe that immediately puts you in a good mood. We tried the chocolate shake, Oreo cookie shake, the chicken pita wrap, and the Frisco Fire burger on a sourdough jalapeño bun, and honestly... everything was delicious. I swung by today and got the cheeseburger combo and the club sandwich combo to share, plus a root beer float and a thick chocolate shake. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious--the cheeseburger had that perfect smashed-on-the-griddle taste with melty American cheese, the club was stacked high with turkey, crispy bacon, lettuce, and mayo on toasted bread, and the fries were golden and perfectly seasoned. The tables that look like cars, the traffic light , the posters give 1950s nostalgia vibes! This cute 50/60's theme diner has been around in Whittier for decades. Finally made the move to come by. The coolest thing about this diner is the server all roller skate to you with your food. I call that skill! The menu is quite large. Burgers, Sandwiches, Salad, Gyro Wraps milkshakes. Also breakfast menu. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich, Jalapeno Burger, Zuchini and Curly Fries , Greek Salad , Oreo Shake. What a fun place to eat! The whole place is decorated like a retro dinner with classic cars props sticking out of the walls and some in the dining area to eat in. The fries were so good. I think we finished almost half our order before getting to our main entrees. I tried both the mint chocolate chip and the cookies and cream shake which were both super amazing. Perfectly sweet and tasty! The colossal burger was delicious. We especially liked the pastrami here. We also got the club sandwich which was a healthier option. Overall good but a tad on the saltier side or it could be because we had like half the fries and our shakes before starting our meal. Although we did over order, the staff was friendly and gave us paper or plastic options to pack our leftovers to go. Rolling into Frisco's carhops was a wheely good idea, because here... food literally comes to you on skates! LOVE the fun atmosphere - the decor and music transports you back into the 1950s. The seating is so creative, and you can actually sit in little cars! Love how the seats matched our desserts: mint ice cream and strawberry smoothie to the mint green and pink vehicles. The diner food was great, and really huge portions! Surprised by how MASSIVE the salad was. Chicken was seasoned so well that it didn't even need dressing on the salad for me - salty and savory. I have had this place bookmarked for years after Timmy S raved about his visit. So recently, I went to Frisco's Carhop, located in Whittier, for the first time. I went here during dinner time. The place has a parking lot and also a drive-thru for people looking for takeout. I walked into the place and felt like I was transported to a different time period which I have never been in but have always wanted to be at! This place is filled with classic car booths, a Betty Boop statue, and what I would think is the same era as Grease the movie! You order the food in the front and from there you set the number on your table. A lady will come on by with roller skates to give you, your meal! Which is so unique and very different! I had ordered a chicken salad with the bacon on the side and my salad dressing is on the side as well. I picked ranch as my dressing. Overall it tastes so good because it was just so hot outside and a nice salad during the summer months makes you cool down a bit. For my table I also had chili cheese fries, onion rings, a pastrami sandwich, and the Frisco's fire burger which is spicy and has a tasty cheese bread on the outside, that was just fire. I love the jalapeños mixed with the cheese on the bread, that is out of this world. You've got to get a shake here and I decided to get a churro shake because I am a complete fan of churros. Wow! What a blast from the past. I grew up loving the Frisco's in City or Industry and have fond memories of eating with my family before having a family of my own. Finding this spot is easy, as it's right on Whittier Blvd with a large sign. The parking lot is a little tight considering the drive-thru and auto shop in the back, but there was enough parking for me to visit. I parked and walked my way to the entrance. As I walked up, you can see the famous Frisco classic car in front, but this time its a pink front bumper on the building - keeping it on brand! I walked in and the ladies working were on their skates, ready to take my order. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. I ordered a kid's meal, which comes with fries and a drink, a kid's strawberry milkshake, as well as the option of a cool paper classic car. For myself, I absolutely HAD to have the fried zucchini - it is always a favorite! I also ordered a grilled chicken Cobb Salad with Ranch dressing. They had a pretty good selection of salad dressings, including Greek and thousand island, just no blue cheese which was fine because the ranch is really good! Everything on the menu was very reasonably priced as well. I was given my drink cups and a number to take to my table. The soft serve drinks were all housemade with cane sugar. I loved mixing the cola and cherry flavors. My kids loved the bright and open atmosphere of this casual family diner. The music was nostalgic in the best way and the decor was so bright and fun. The place is also dog friendly with outside seating on the patio as well. My food was brought out in a matter of minutes by the cool girls on their skates. Props to them for being so graceful and careful as my kids wandered around in excitement. The strawberry shake was the first item at our table and made all of our eyes go wide. Awesome presentation! Then came the Cheeseburger in the cool classic car. The star of this show, for me, was my salad and fried zucchini. The quality of the food was obvious by the presentation and aroma coming from the chicken. My first bite was the zucchini - perfectly battered and seasoned, perfect ratio of batter to zucchini, and served HOT and crispy. Just a slight dip in some ranch dressing and I was transported to my happy place. The Cobb salad was a great choice because it was loaded with the savory, Greek-inspired char-grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, tomato, egg, and sprinkled cheese. This salad was very satisfying and the added pita was a nice touch. I left here satisfied and my kids in a great mood. It was a perfect family dining experience and a blast from the past with both the nostalgia and vibe that Frisco's brings. Such a cool and fun diner! On a busy Saturday evening, we found a parking spot in the back. The diner has vibrant pastel pink and blue classic hotrod booths, regular table and chairs, and high tables and chairs to dine in. Decor is very 50s style including a portrait of Elvis on the wall. The ladies are in "carhop" uniforms and there was one server on roller skates. We saw her carrying a tray full of plates and skillfully taking them to a table while skating! On this evening, they were quite busy so the hotrod booths were unavailable. We did find a regular table but it was needed bussing even though it already had the tabletop sign on it "needs bussing." My hubby graciously moved the tray to the tray station and put some hand sanitizer on the table and wiped it off with napkins. You order at the counter and the roller skating server brings it out to you. Both the cashier and server were pleasant. Food was pretty standard diner food-- chili cheese fries, BLT for me, patty melt like burger for the hubby, and regular fries for me. Bacon was in generous portions in my sandwich. These are cooked to order. Kinda tasty. We liked what we got. For dessert we had a vanilla shake for the hubby and rocky road ice cream for me. They use Thrifty ice cream, a solid option! Unfortunately, the restroom needed A LOT of attention. It was gross. :( There are a lot of photo opportunities (will share more in a bit) with the various 50s decor. You can purchase your sandwich to be in a 50s paper hotrod for 1.29 if you like. There were samples on the counter. Well, I have scouted this place for a year or two before I came. The Instagram boasts of picture worthy scenes with servers on skates. It was nothing like what the Instagram portrayed it as. The restaurant was easy to locate off the street with decent parking. Walking in only one half of the restaurant had air conditioning. Not one single waitress was on skates. The food was subpar both patties tasted extremely bland. The chili cheese fries had more chili than they did fries. They forgot the ketchup and ranch had to walk back up to get it. Food came and the shake wasn't ready till 10 minutes after the food. The bathroom was downright disgusting. The floor was wet with mud all over it. Only one roll had toilet paper.
