This place is really cute and colorful and great for photos. The decor is super fun and takes you back to the 50's even if you were born after that lol. I'm a Vegan so I was limited to certain foods. I loved their Greek Salad it was fresh and delicious. The onion rings & curly fries were good. They do have an Impossible Burger as an option but I can't eat that. I wanted a milkshake so bad because it's one of my favorite desserts to indulge in but I can't have dairy. It would be nice if they added more vegan options to their menu. Definitely not what I expected the restaurant to be. I walked in through the patio door, and didn't know if I should sit anywhere, wait for the lady that was cleaning to acknowledge me??? She didn't, lol! So my next move was walking through the dining area and that's where I see the menu and register! Went here on a weekend just before they stopped serving breakfast at 3pm. Service was quick, friendly, and they even had a girl on roller skates deliver our food. The atmosphere is casual with a fun 50s vibe with classic cars for seating. As for the food, the breakfast is really good here, don't sleep on the French toast combo! It's served crispy, with warm butter and syrup and two fat tasty sausages (or bacon) as well as eggs, cooked to order. The breakfast combo came with a free iced caramel coffee or hot coffee. Kids meals come out in served in a cute paper car. Fun for the kids. The burgers are good here too, if you order one of each (breakfast and sandwich) you can share with whomever you're with to get your sweet and savory fix. read more

I blame TikTok for overhyping Frisco's!! Ughhh! I live in Glassell Park and it took us a little over an hour to get there on a Saturday afternoon. On the videos, it looked liked the spot you had to go to. It totally wasn't. It was such a disappointment. To my surprise, it was relatively empty for a Saturday afternoon. The servers are supposed to serve you on skates, which is supposed to make them unique to other other burger spots. They were just walking up to the customers' tables! Ahh hell no! When I paid for our meal, I told the cashier that someone better roller skate my food to me! I didn't come all the way here for the sock hop drive for nothing!! Unique and fun atmosphere! My family and I stopped here on a recent road trip and we were not disappointed. We arrived a little after 8pm on Saturday night and they were not busy. The main dining room looks like the front walls open up like a garage door to create a bit of an open air dining room, but with it being late and a little cooler, these were closed. I imagine during the day they are open. The overall theme of a 50's diner is cute. There is a lot of seating in the dining area. There are 2 dining tables that look like the back of an old Cadillac. This of course is everyones favorite place to sit. The food is basically burgers & shakes with a few other items. You will notice there are "Frisco" Burgers and "Basic" Burgers. The difference is that the Frisco burgers are served on toasted sourdough bread and the basic is your regular hamburger bun. We ordered the "Frisco" style, which was fantastic. It almost reminds me of Texas Toast. The burgers are a good size. I am a big guy with a huge appetite, and I considered doing a "Double". I am glad I didn't because I had a hard time finishing my regular burger. A must-try on the menu is their "Parmesan Zucchini Sticks". One order is 6 pieces and they are delicious. The staff here are great. When they bring your food out to you, they were rollerskates! Very fun! Only downside to our visit was the cleanliness. Throughout the restaurant, it just looked messy. We did come late in the evening, but they didn't appear to have staff that was focused on busing tables and wiping counters and the drink station down. As my boyfriend is a car lover, he loved the ambiance the place had. We got to sit in one of the car tables that had a piece of a Buick built into it. The music was a mix of current and oldies. Went to Frisco's with my family to celebrate my nephew receiving an award at school. As we walked in, no one greeted us. There is a sign directing you to order at the counter before seating. My cousin stood at the counter to place her order, no one was in line. It took almost 10 minutes for her order to be taken. By that time, I had reviewed the menu and taken the order for the rest of my family. I walked up to the counter as my cousin finished ordering. My cousin move away and the lady taking the order walked away, I had to flag her and then she asked me if I wanted to order. (Why else would I be at the counter next to the sign that says order here). Anyway, most of our order was out surprisingly fast, except my chicken Greek salad had no chicken and my nephews kid meal and shake were missing. I flagged the server (same person taking the orders) and she took back my salad, she returned with my salad with chicken on it and said she had not charged me for chicken, I offered to pay; she said no. Mind you the salad name on the menu is "chicken Greek salad" it is not like I ordered a plain salad and added chicken. Now we waited, and waited and waited some more for my nephews meal. I got up and asked about the meal, the server's response: "didn't I already bring it?" No you didn't. She scrambled to get the order started and then to make the shake. Keep I mind that there were only other 2 tables occupied at this time as it was Friday around 2. I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was ok. My dad had been there before and said that the service and quality had definitely declined. Keep in mind that there were no severs on rollers skates either like advertised. There are now 3 other people behind me that couldn't pre order either. And I tried ordering a salad with all Romain lettuce since we don't like weeds in our family, and they don't even have that. Food: I got the Chipotle Bacon Cheeseburger (double) and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and not just because I was hungry. You can actually taste the charbroiling to the meat. The buns were toasted. The cheese was melted. The fries were seasoned, crispy and hot. I couldn't be more pleased with my meal because most themed diner food tends to fall flat when it comes to the food. I wish I had room for dessert, but my. stomach just isn't the size of a hippo. Ambiance: You won't be bored with all the retro decor to look at, believe me. From the posters up on the wall to the various nicknacks in the dining area. Betty Boop greets you before you hit the bathroom. A few of the booths were designed with bench seating in a Cadillac. You owe it to yourself to have someone roller skate burgers and fries to you once in your life. The cheese flavored bread on the sandwich and the Frisco burger was not my favorite. Like powdered Parmesan cheese grilled into the bread. Sourdough bread or Texas toast would've been way better. It was too rich and salty with that on there for my taste. The strawberry shake was out of this world! I don't say that a lot, but it was just perfect. It actually looked like a fake shake that you would have on a shelf in a restaurant or in a case to show people what a shake would look like when ordered. The cooks and the manager are also super friendly and clearly care about the customer experience. I've seen them go out of their way to fix orders quickly and professionally when something isn't right. They're a bright spot in the overall vibe of the place. But the service from the waitresses -- especially the carhops -- is another story. I really wish I could say the same about them, but I've consistently had unpleasant experiences. Rude attitudes, lack of basic courtesy, and even an eye roll from a young waitress the last time I was there. It's frustrating when the food and value are so good, but the front-of-house staff makes you feel unwelcome. It really brings the whole experience down. Bottom line: if you can overlook the attitude from some of the waitresses, the food is absolutely worth it. Just be prepared for hit-or-miss service. I have been here twice. First time I was here food and service was good. I came today for the second time. The worst service I have ever had. I ordered my food at 12:14 I didn't get my food till 12:56 after I asked how much longer for my food. Idk why they took so long. The people that order after me got their order before I did.
