Everything hit the spot, but the standouts were definitely the Bacon & Avocado Burger, Chili Cheese Fries, and that Famous Oreo Milkshake -- total game changer. Location: In Whittier on Whittier Blvd right next door to a masonry/tile shop with a smog check place behind it. Look for the pink Frisco sign sticking out from the building. Food: I got the Chipotle Bacon Cheeseburger (double) and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and not just because I was hungry. You can actually taste the charbroiling to the meat. The buns were toasted. The cheese was melted. The fries were seasoned, crispy and hot. I couldn't be more pleased with my meal because most themed diner food tends to fall flat when it comes to the food. I wish I had room for dessert, but my. stomach just isn't the size of a hippo. Ambiance: You won't be bored with all the retro decor to look at, believe me. From the posters up on the wall to the various nicknacks in the dining area. As my boyfriend is a car lover, he loved the ambiance the place had. We got to sit in one of the car tables that had a piece of a Buick built into it. The music was a mix of current and oldies. My boyfriend enjoyed the colossal burger, full of flavor from the burger patty and pastrami shavings. As he said "prepare to get messy, absolutely worth it". I got the patty melt and it was good. I did request no parmesan crust on the sourdough toast which could have affected the overall flavor. If I were to go back, I would opt for the traditional burger bun. The shake was tasty and the fries were okay. Not the type to dip in the shake but would be great for chili fries. The service was typical, nothing like the videos on their social media. Went to Frisco's with my family to celebrate my nephew receiving an award at school. As we walked in, no one greeted us. There is a sign directing you to order at the counter before seating. My cousin stood at the counter to place her order, no one was in line. It took almost 10 minutes for her order to be taken. By that time, I had reviewed the menu and taken the order for the rest of my family. I walked up to the counter as my cousin finished ordering. My cousin move away and the lady taking the order walked away, I had to flag her and then she asked me if I wanted to order. (Why else would I be at the counter next to the sign that says order here). Anyway, most of our order was out surprisingly fast, except my chicken Greek salad had no chicken and my nephews kid meal and shake were missing. I flagged the server (same person taking the orders) and she took back my salad, she returned with my salad with chicken on it and said she had not charged me for chicken, I offered to pay; she said no. Mind you the salad name on the menu is "chicken Greek salad" it is not like I ordered a plain salad and added chicken. Now we waited, and waited and waited some more for my nephews meal. I got up and asked about the meal, the server's response: "didn't I already bring it?" No you didn't. She scrambled to get the order started and then to make the shake. Keep I mind that there were only other 2 tables occupied at this time as it was Friday around 2. I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was ok. My dad had been there before and said that the service and quality had definitely declined. Keep in mind that there were no severs on rollers skates either like advertised. Told me to pull up and she'll give me a menu and proceeds to say "I don't know the menu" still not understanding what I'm saying. There are now 3 other people behind me that couldn't pre order either. And I tried ordering a salad with all Romain lettuce since we don't like weeds in our family, and they don't even have that. I don't know what's happened, but this place seems to be going downhill. Took 20 min to get a tuna sandwich and a chicken pita and fries: and this place isn't even crowded. I recently had the pleasure of trying out Frisco's Carhops with my husband & I'd just like to say, "WOW". The ambiance is stunning with an old school diner vibe. There was great 80's music playing in the background. I love classic cars & the vibe here was just amazing. The service was great. On the day we visited we got here very early & were the first customers of the day. The waitress that assisted us was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My husband got a breakfast burrito & I got the French toast combo. He liked his burrito & I liked my French toast. I'm a bit of a French toast snob since many places don't make it good. That was not the case here. The bread wasn't dry which is a problem of many places, & I could taste the sweetness, & spice of the cinnamon. Maybe I just got lucky since we were the first customers & the cooks took their time to work on our meal? I don't know but what I do know is that on the day we visited the food was delicious & the price was great. We paid about $30 for us both for these delicious meals. Ps. Good service and great decor. A bit awkward lay out of the serve yourself beverages since it's in same tight area where employees walk out to serve food. And on this visit there was a yellow wet floor sign so made it a bit more difficult for myself and server on roller skates to navigate around. Food was served pretty fast. Burgers were Served on a Parmesan sourdough type bread. The bread was pretty dry and the Parmesan was a bit over powering, salty and crumbly. Ended up eating open faced and had party only. Personally, I can't find myself returning for the other items I ordered but to be as objective as possible, I only ordered the items listed below. Again, I'm a BIG fan of themed cafes and restaurants! Sucks that I never got to go to the Frisco's in City of Industry back when it's still open, but glad that this one in Whittier still exists (I'm not even sure if there are any other locations other than this one...). It's open pretty late at night in terms of how everything else closed at 9 PM on a weekday in Whittier. They have menus clasped to stands outside and a drive thru as well. Love the kitschy 50's diner and classic car theme that the restaurant has. There's photos and autographs from famous celebrities who have been to Frisco's, giant dice, a huge garage door to their outdoor seating, booths that are in a classic car, a car hop waitress mannequin, large milkshake art on the wall, and much, much more. And OF COURSE, the waitresses roller skate to your table too! We got the: 1) Frisco's Parmesan Zucchini Sticks: -Huge pieces that are generously covered in parmesan. -The zucchini wasn't too mushy on the inside, went great with some ranch. -I only saw afterwards that they had chipotle ranch as a free sauce option, wish I knew this then, but if I'm back again, I gotta try it. 2) Frisco Cheeseburger: -As it was my first time here, this was the no brainer to try with it's namesake and the fact that it's slightly different from a regular burger as it's made sandwich style with sliced bread. -This is their fire grilled beef patty with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. The most unique features of their Frisco Cheeseburger is that instead of burger buns they used sour dough bread coated in parmesan cheese. -This gave the bread the same taste as eating a super large Cheez-it coated flavor. The beef patty was moist and cooked nicely enough. Decent amount of thousand island sauce and the bread is a tasty and yummy enough. Just a word to the wise, if you're not really into "saltier" food choices or are a fan of cheese, this is not the option for you. -Also enough to share too, wish we asked in advance for them to cut it in half. -This came with a sizeable side of crispy fries too. 3) Churro Milkshake: -100% an indulgent dessert drink. It's topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry, along with a small churro too. Throughout the shake, it's vanilla ice cream with churro blended all throughout, adding some nice texture as well. -Perfect for if you love churros and have a sweet tooth, but it is a heavily sweet and dense drink. Since we came near closing, we had iced tea from the fountain drink area to mix with lemonade to make an Arnold Palmer, but once it ran out, it wasn't refilled again. Understandable as it was a duty for the next day. We also got their cute little paper cars for $1.29 (this is going to my lizard, Sambal), but seeing an entire party of people getting it only to throw them in the trash afterwards was a big pain to me to say the least... Looking up the history of Frisco's, I guess the old City of Industry location had pizzas, would be cool if they had those here as well. read more

Let's start with the good: the food is fantastic. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. From the juicy burgers to the crisp fries and absolutely killer dressings and homemade sauces, it's clear the kitchen puts in real effort. It's one of those rare spots where the flavor and quality far exceed what you'd expect at the price point -- definitely a bang for your buck kind of place. The cooks and the manager are also super friendly and clearly care about the customer experience. I've seen them go out of their way to fix orders quickly and professionally when something isn't right. They're a bright spot in the overall vibe of the place. But the service from the waitresses -- especially the carhops -- is another story. I really wish I could say the same about them, but I've consistently had unpleasant experiences. Rude attitudes, lack of basic courtesy, and even an eye roll from a young waitress the last time I was there. It's frustrating when the food and value are so good, but the front-of-house staff makes you feel unwelcome. It really brings the whole experience down. Bottom line: if you can overlook the attitude from some of the waitresses, the food is absolutely worth it. Just be prepared for hit-or-miss service. This place has a 50/60s feel with a good soundtrack playing while you eat good food. The waitresses skate around and serve you food which is so cool. The food is delicious. You have to try the pastrami sandwich. If you have a lot of people with you, the family pack is perfect. Some of the table are inside old school cars. I thought that was creative and nice. Met up with a coworker for lunch, looking to revisit a restaurant of my past. Sadly the place seems to be going downhill. The atmosphere is still unique and awesome, but the food quality sucks. I got their supreme breakfast burrito and a grilled cheese (childhood favorite). The burrito was so plain with bland ingredients, and the grilled cheese almost had me crying out of depression. I left hungry and unhappy. On a positive note, the one waitress working was on roller skates and was very attentive to tables. The location is clean and you can tell the owners are looking to keep the place going. Super limited parking, and during day time hours the smog shop behind the restaurant is open, which adds to the limited parking. If you are going for the visuals and nostalgia, do it.
