Clean spot with friendly guys behind the counter. Large stuffed sandwiches and soft fresh bread. My egg salad was delicious! Large menu of hot and cold sandos and some salads too! All beverages are bottled though. Nice spot , I will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time trying Mr. Sandwich and it was AMAZING!! the flavor of the turkey was so good. The price is also great for the size of the sandwich. It was a whole sandwich, but I ate half before I even thought to take the picture lol. Definitely worth it!! I will be coming back

This place did not disappoint, as soon as I walked in I was greeted and that's super important to me because honestly it just makes you feel welcomed. I let them know it was my first time and he was so informative and even gave me recommendations of some popular choices which is always helpful for a first timer. While waiting there were a decent amount of tables and I loved the Mr sandwich sign inside that said "Best in Whittier". Super cute. I ordered the Turkey Avocado sandwich and it was so delicious! It was stacked and totally worth it. We also tried the Pastrami since it was recommended and it was so good! The portion sizes were great here! I wish I got a picture of it, so now I need to go back and order another one haha! I will most definitely be back and can't wait to try something new!

I went for the first time today around 1. There weren't nearly as many people as there have been during the lunch hour. The staff were friendly, answered all of my questions. They have a great menu, sandwiches (hot and cold), salads and sides. I ordered the pastrami with a pickle on the side. The pastrami only comes with mustard on it. This was by far one of the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly, the flavors were all there. The mustard they use is not too strong, it's a perfect pair. I am excited to return and try out some other sandwiches they offer.

My favorites are the Izzo Club and the Pastrami--both are so good! Beyond the food, the place is always spotless, which is something I really appreciate. It's one of those great neighborhood spots that is welcoming and familiar. David, the sandwich maker, is friendly and truly makes the experience special. The attention to detail, tasty sandwiches and warm personality of the staff keep me coming back here.

My daughters and I were craving sandwiches like usual. We decided to try Mr. Sandwich. If you grew up in the 90s you would remember the club sandwich from Denny's. I ordered the club sandwich and that is exactly what I got. That sandwich brought back good memories and nostalgia. The only thing I saw was an concern, is they have no restrooms there. The place is big enough and it had no restrooms. So if you are a parent like me, the restroom issue is a deal breaker when you got kids. Maybe get the food to go.

We were in the area waiting for the groomer to finish with our dog and found this place next door. We loved the food here we ordered a meatball sandwich and a Turkey club with avocado. BOTH (we shared) were FIRE! I didn't think I was gonna leave the place stuffed but I did. The gentleman at the counter was nice and patient with us as we decided what to get. He explained to us and other guest what sandwiches had in each of them and his suggestion. My gf loved the place and the music selection. We will be returning soon. read more

Since Uptown Provisions was packed I decided to go to Mr Sandwich, note to self wait in line at Provisions. Sour dough bread was old and stale. Also had I known asking for mayo would mean half a jar of mayo on my bread (I guess trying to mask the stale bread) I would have skipped it. Although the staff was great not the best sandwich experience. Patience is a virtue, Lesson Learned. read more

My go to sandwhich spot after hitting the trail runs in Whittier. The staff is friendly and there's a variety of different options ( a massive vegetarian option) The names of the sandwiches are clever and the inside is sooooo cool. Only big big big downside is, nooooo bathrooms. I've had to go down the street to Starbucks to use their restrooms so that I may wash my hands. Aside from that it's super cute. read more

Our first time at Mr Sandwich. I ordered the BBQ chicken breast sandwich. The chicken was thinly sliced smothered in BBQ sauce. The flavor was good however the chicken was way over cooked. The cashier didn't ask if we wanted drinks or anything to go with our sandwiches. We had to stop her as she gave us our total to ask for a couple of sodas to be added. Not sure why she was rushing us, there was no one in line behind us. Probably won't be back again. The price was a little high for over cooked chicken. read more

Was on a hunt for a good corned beef sandwich and came upon this shop on Yelp. It's located in the heart of downtown Whittier. Parking is horrendous and you might have to circle around a few times. I manage to find street parking a block away and just walked. Small shop and upon entry, behind the bar, there is a huge menu displayed on the wall. There was so many options and they have different sandwiches named after famous celebrities. Couldn't decide between the Danny Boy or a basic reuben sandwich. I ended up opting for the Danny Boy cause I kinda wanted slaw on the side. You can customize it however you like. The portion looks a lot bigger than expected but it's literally one sandwich cut in quads. The corned beef wasn't bad but I believe Jewish delis are so much better. The sandwich was really hard to eat due to the size and everything kept falling apart. Overall I would love to come back here and try their other sandwiches. Customer service was friendly and quick. They do close earlier than other shops so be sure to come early! read more

Stepped in on a Friday around lunch. The Morrissey veggie sandwich was tasty but average. Doesn't come with a side pickle or a pepper. Nothing really stands out about this shop but I'm sure there are other meat options that will. Bread doesn't seem to be made there and seems to have taken steps down in food options. Produced seemed fresh and crispy. Although a tasty sandwich and friendly staff members. I'll still give it a 4/5. Walls are covered in artwork of different sandwich's is pretty neat. Visited this place for the first time to go get an egg salad sandwich, but they told me it was not available, so i ordered a turkey sandwich. The cook came from the back room who had been cleaning and jumped straight into slicing deli ham for my sandwich. No handwashing, no gloves, nothing. After he placed the ham on the bread, he padded his hands dry on his jeans, wrapped the sandwich, and placed it in a to go bag. Gross. So, I paid, thanked the kind Cashier, and left, throwing the food away in a nearby trash can. read more

Tried this place today for the first time and was very disappointed. The bread was very basic. The kind you could just buy at Ralph's. And my sandwich was very dry and plain, no taste at all. My husband and I definitely agree. We can make our own sandwiches at home for less than the price. Will not be returning. read more

I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. To make matters worse, we were seated next to one of the parties that arrived after us, and we got to enjoy the thrilling experience of watching them receive their food before we even ordered. The food itself was good overall. The only miss for me was the mac and cheese, which tasted like KFC mac and cheese that had a passionate encounter with a jar of jalapeño juice. Would I come back? Maybe. The food was decent, but for a first visit, the service definitely left a stronger impression than the meal did.

I took remaining mozzy sticks home and ate them later but they had become so salty, like the salt concentrated as they got cold or something. Peculiar. I'd say mozzy sticks made an attempt and fell short. But! Try them for yourself, you may think I'm crazy lol. Definitely would return for pho. I also want to try their lomo saltado and pork bulgogi!

3 words: BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! I had the Turkey Avocado Panini this afternoon and my tastebuds are still on cloud 9. The toasted buns elevated my sandwich enjoyment and experience beyond expectations. I'm going back tomorrow and bringing the whole family to try it out. Ohhhhh and let me tell you a little bit about the new renovations. The place received a complete makeover while still keeping it's Uptown Whittier vibe. Today I hosted a company baby shower for one of our employees. I called a few days ago and spoke with the gentleman at Mr Sandwich to find out what they had to offer for catering. He helped me order a delicious mix of meat sandwiches, turkey, roast beef and ham. We were very happy with the presentation and service.
