Highly disappointed, my fries tasted so nasty you could taste the nasty oil flavor and the onion rings had a nasty flavor as well on top of them being burnt. I've been going here for about ten years and now they lack customer service and their fast food just gets worse. They are a better than anything over hyped pink's or the over priced weinershintzel down the block makes...I go for a plain dog and a chili cheese one...but let me explain... long version: My brother loves char-broiled plain burgers..he's been coming here for years. its a mom and pop joint, they know him. I'm an in-n-out girlie so that isn't my thing BUT... After taking him there once, I decided to try a simple hot dog...i know its a sin that I also add ketchup...but they do offer the mustard, relish and onions if that is your thing (and likely those little peppers if you are nice) Those older men running this location's kitchen know a GRILL and a char...it tasted like my dad's hot dogsin july 4th...but better..my brother agreed...now remember this is just a plain all beef hot dog but we were transported to the past by the cook and its quality... I should mention my dad knew his weenies/brats/polish and tried them all over blue collar LA- like cronies etc. TIP: When you order the chili cheese dog (for mine plain but they offer the above mentioned fixings) you need to let it sit on the way home- work on another hot dog or fries or onion rings- whatevwr--it needs 10 minutes so the cheese and chili mix into a delicous lava over your chared hot dog.. you can thank me later. its drive thru only- there is often a line because locals know.they take cards/debit pass on the corndog- its nothing special- read more

I hate to do this because the food is great. But 1 star due to the fact that it's 2025 and they still haven't opened the dining room. No explanation as to why neither. I avoid coming here because of the long drive thru line and a parking lot that isn't designed for it. If you enter through the Gunn side good luck maneuvering through that line. And then they have a guy take your order in the line which I understand helps things move faster, but this makes it so you can't even see the menu or prices when you're ordering. Been getting Douglas for years now. This is one of my mom's favorite place and she says it's the best bacon cheeseburger she's ever had. I've read may reviews here stating the chili cheese are the best. If you don't like flavor, like the cheese they use for hamburgers, like chili sauce that looks water down, then maybe you'll like this. This is the worst chili cheese fries I have ever tasted. The chili sauce looks gross, where's the meat? Why are they charging for a large plate when there's so little food in the container. This is my second time trying this place. Was really craving a burger and decided to try Douglas. I did not know it was drive-thru only. I guess the dining part of the restaurant is closed. I ordered the cheeseburger and chili tamale. The cheeseburger was good, decent. Extremely thin meat patty. The chili tamale was really interesting. Instead of chili cheese fries it's a ground beef tamale. The tamale was okay, a little soggy tasting. They gave me chopped raw onions on the side. Surprisingly, they were quick! Not much waiting at all being only a drive-thru burger joint. read more

Just love, love, love this place!! Wait a minute...did I say how much I love this small, family run business. I've been coming here since I was a kid and my kids would say that's along time ago. We went around 6pm. The walk in/dining room area was closed. That's why the drive thru was so long. Thankfully, there was a sign in the window that said "dining room closed. Drive thru only" ok that was fine. It went fast. They had someone outside taking a few orders, run them in, come back out and do the same. Ice always wanted to say this-- wash, rinse and repeat. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a regular sized onion ring which was a ton of them in the box, chicken tenders which. Some with four big pieces. Our total was $20.21 with tax. It fed four of us with leftovers. The cheeseburgers were big, filling and delish. The onion rings are my fav out of any place. Sooo crispy and just awesome. Their ranch is thick and flavorful. Not that thin, watery stuff. I told my gma,"why haven't we gone there lately?" We will def be back soon. Other places would've cost $30 for smaller portions. read more

My father and I ordered food last night around 7:30pm and were the only car in the drive thru line and it took over 30 mins to get our meal. Two cheeseburgers, steak sandwich, kids hot dog, zucchini fries and regular fries. No one attended to us to take our card payment until after 10 mins sitting there and something had gone on with the grill as we saw really bad smoke and flames everywhere! All of the employees sitting there watching. We received our food which was WRONG and BURNT TO A CRISP! My dad went to go inside to tell them our food was burnt and their dining room area was closed only drive thru open! Line was wrapped around the small parking lot, so we called this morning to try to let them know what happened and owner was rude told my dad he doesn't care and doesn't care about him next time don't order from him! Disappointed but don't want to be. Waiting a long time for our food which was fine but we order two burgers and when we got home we were missing one. It was our fault for not checking but too far to go back, so only my husband ate. The zucchini and onion rings were also soggy. This is my favorite go-to burger joint. I go here for breakfast too but It took me a minute to put it in my brain they don't serve breakfast plates. No papas.. I have to say it didn't matter because The Bacon egg sandwich (blt w egg) is my favorite. Bacon egg burrito super simple is also bomb! They have other options too. Don't forget to get the red dipping sauce. The chili fries at first were one size, but they added a large which serving size could be questionable for large or small, but my kids love them and I do too. So ordering chili fries is a must with breakfast or Dinner. The steak sandwich is also good. Big strip of bacon in the bacon burgers. It's nice to know anytime I'm back in town that although many things have changed some things never do. So what are you in for if you eat here ? That's why you're reading these comments to decide if this place is good enough to spend money on . well your in for a treat not only is it delicious but the price is spot on even in these inflationary times. What you receive here is a burger that is addictive , juicy yet flavorful without getting the dreaded bloated or heavy feeling afterwards.
