    Sonorense dog and gobernador taco
    Arthur J.

This place was surprisingly good. I initially saw the Flintstones burger on Instagram and knew immediately I needed to check this place out and I'm very glad I did. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if it's busy out (it is an a pretty bustling area with many other shops and restaurants) but there are free options available. When you get inside, the decor and vibes are everything. The music is like 2000s pop/hip hop, they had TVs, the standard grass walls with neon signs formed into witty statements (which was cool) and they have many graffiti style paintings/art around the restaurant. It was definitely a casual, trendy atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Now to my favorite part, the food! This restaurant takes, in my opinion, a next level approach to casual, American and Mexican cuisine and they have craft beers available to go with their meals. The tacos, burgers and hot dogs are unique so as a result I came to order one thing (the Flintstones burger) and left with extra dishes to try that included 2 tacos and a hot dog. The Flintstones burger presentation is great. Seeing the giant beef rib bone in the burger when it arrives makes you know that the meat is going to have that extra flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy included in the burger gives it a very comfort food/home style feel and it goes perfectly together. It was like eating a pot roast dinner in a bun that was put together incredibly. Also, I'm a huge fan of shoestring fries so they were a plus to the meal! This is a must try and I will be back for this. Next were the pumba and gobernador tacos. Both amazing selections as the pumba tacos had thick cuts of pork belly and plenty to fill the taco shell. The Gobernador was a great combination of shrimp with cheese and the sauce it comes with complimented it very well as it was not overly spicy. Lastly, and the dish that surprised me, was the sonorense dog. The hot dogs are pork (which I prefer) so it was a tough decision to pick which one to try but I ultimately landed on the sonorense dog and I'm so glad I did. The pork hot dog is more flavorful in my opinion which went well with the California pepper and cheese it was stuffed into. The bacon was a bit soft so making it a little more crispy would have been preferred but you still can't go wrong with how it was presented. It also came topped with caramelized onions leading to flavorful ensemble. In short, this restaurant far exceeded my expectations. I came in wanting to order one thing and ended up ordering the whole left side of the menu (joking) because the descriptions of each dish all were so tempting. The food was amazing and I look forward to trying more of it the next time I'm in the area. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they will add one in Las Vegas (where I live) so they can take over this market as well. This is a must try from one foodie to another!

I didn't expect to find such great tacos and burgers here. This is absolutely 5+ stars food I didn't encounter for a big while. The price was not cheap though, but the food was really fancy so I think it's reasonable. Definitely try the skeletor taco and the flintstones burger. These are the fancy ones with bones and ribs. It's very delicious. Protein portion was large it really justified the price. I think every other taco I ordered was really good and unique to the location: the pork belly one, the shrimp one, and the asada one. The sharing plates are also pretty big and delicious. Quesadilla with shrimp was very good. The fried chicken was juicy and well glazed. The nachos are especially crispy. Many parking spaces on the street. It's 2 hours free parking.

First timer here at the newest Tacburg in Uptown. I loved my experience! It was nothing like I expected. Service: 10/10, tableside service, very friendly Interior: Clean, ample table space, kids high chairs available Drinks: Local craft beers + more Food: Incredible. I had pork belly taco, bone marrow taco. Both were well presented, fresh, hot and delicious. Prices: The best part. Wasn't expecting a $10 and under price point on these items. Best part for me, the kids meals were $6! Mini sized portions for our little ones. Another great thing for me- millenial playlist! Loved the music. Please try it, I can't wait to try some more tacos off the menu soon.

We had a great time! I thought it would just be gastropub food, but the mash-up of tacos/burgers/hot dogs was an unexpected and extremely enjoyable fusion experience. We ordered a bunch of food and shared it, which I recommend so that you can taste as many of their creations as possible. Pumba Tacos ($4.50) - very generous with the pork belly portions. For the price, it's a steal. The different textures (crispy, crunchy, creamy, smooth) and flavors (fatty, tangy, avocado-y) was exceptional. Al Pastor Burger ($18) - not bad. It gave off torta vibes with a few different flavors in there and a full slice of pineapple rather than junks that would be in a taco. I would order it again. It is cooked well and filled us up but just wasn't my favorite thing that we ate that day. The shoestring fries were aight. Again, nothing to right home about. I would upgrade my fries next time. Sonoronse dog - like an LA dog inside of a chilli relleno. Great presentation and great flavor. I would definitely get this one again too. Our server was Sophia and she was very attentive to our table, very friendly and patient in explaining all the different menu items and what we were getting. Since so many items on the menu are new creations, this aspect is important. Looking forward to coming back and trying that skeletor taco.

Tacburg is a spot my hubby found on Tik tok, so i was a bit hesitant because other spots that influencers have promoted have been horrible spots. It is a small little spot in Uptown Whittier, cute shops and bars in the area. Good music and the service was super friendly and helped with all our questions. I enjoyed the presentation of the taco. Each taco had it's own style, it's own flare. The flavors are very unique. We have been here a few times since our first visit and they have not disappointed. You can also grab a beer while your here and enjoy people watching from the window! There is street parking and a parking lot somewhere around here! Lol! Thanks for reading @just_._jax

Wow I'm surprised this place closed. When I ate here, it was delicious. One of the best tasting burger and fries I've had. The burger was juicy and had so much flavor. The fries were crispy with the perfect amount of salt. It was delicious!

Went back here on Wednesday as I had left my jacket behind on Sunday so we decided to try the burgers. We were not disappointed and Nancy our server couldn't have been more gracious. I also love how clean this place is.

Visiting Tacburg made our day. I was apprehensive because usually when food is so visually appealing, it lacks flavor. When I bit into the Skeletor Taco, I knew that Tacburg had the visual AND flavor locked down. A rare accomplishment. The food alone was worth the drive from L.A. proper. The service was the cherry on top. John was so hospitable. We look forward to returning!

We were at The Cellar having some beers and didn't want to walk too far, so we looked up a nearby spot and found TacBurg. The name cracked us up because it's a taco and burger combo place. I got the Flintstone Burger, which came with a giant rib they used to carve the meat from, and my friend got the spicy chicken sandwich. Everything was seriously good, even the chips and guac we ordered as an appetizer. The chips were freshly made, warm, and super tasty.

Its Wednesday so the street fair is going on in Uptown. Several food stands are giving me the look like they know i am hungry, but how can i say no to a place that has burgers and tacos. My daughter and I went with asada, chicken, and sweet potato fries and were not disappointed. I admit the chicken was for her but it was so good, i ate half. Asada was good too but that chicken was delicious. Fries were good. Those were for the kid. I had a few and they were tasty. Nice place in Uptown. Clean and roomy. Tvs playing the Lakers game. Booze here too but did not drink.

Delicious kids slider!!! So much flavor!

Stop playing around and come on down to Tacburg! Everything is delicious here. The pumba taco is delicious with a side of Tamarind sauce, this combination works very well. The kids slider is really amazing too! Love how juicy and well seasoned it is..this is my new spot! The Beer is also always fresh and delicious! I definitely recommend anyone looking for a quick bite under 20 bucks to enjoy this chill spot!

One server greeted me and told me "I'll be with you" 3 different times, he kept going back to the bar, print a receipt, look at it, go to a table, return to the bar, print a receipt... I was seating at the bar and I would've waited, had he served me a beer. I just walked out, I understand that sometimes people get flustered or slammed (it wasn't that busy but maybe he fell behind from earlier). But today I walked in, sat at a table, server took my order for a burger and a beer. Went back to the bar, then picked plates from a table, went back to the bar, took a pitcher to a table, went back to the bar, went to speak to the kitchen, returned to the bar.... Another server was posing or trying to look pretty in the bar and even though he looked at me several times, never bother to help. So I sat there like... And waited.... And waited.... I'm not expecting the burger to come out quick, but a beer? Couldn't they pour a beer, drop it and go back to chatting? So, it was nice meeting you, wish you the best and I hope you find what your looking for, because it seems that what you're looking for is not customers......
