Al Pastor Nachos

Never disappoints. Al Pastor is amazing. I love their carnitas. They're fast too and it's clean.

I wanna say I get food from this place AT LEAST once a month. At first we were in awe of the nachos. Then we tried tacos and they are delicious, and today we tried the burrito. The place never disappoints. The only time I can see someone being upset is if they don't like stuffed/heavy amounts. If you're into watered down taco spots, I can see the flavors being overpowering but overall, a great go to! It's always semi empty because people are coming in n out for to go orders rather than sitting so my boyfriend and I always sit in the back in peace! I love this place!

Cobran demas el precio de su "All Meat Burrito" un Burrito de pura Carne dice $9.49 y me cobraron $10.49 porque segun se le olvido cambiar el precio They overcharge their menu showed an all meat burrito for 9.49 and they charged me 10.49 because they forgot tp update their prices wtf??? How is that on me? This place has a severe management problem

Very concerned and disappointed about the cleanliness here. I was quite taken it back at that, being I have been coming to this place for years now. Since the name change, I have noticed a lot of positive changes. But these last few visits have not been the best as far as cleanliness, customer service, and portion sizing. With covid-19 in full effect, this level of dirty cannot continue. The limes are fully exposed to any droplets and you can tell the sneeze guards have not been cleaned recently. The floor definitely needs a good sweeping and a deep scrubbing. I wasn't able to get good pictures of the grill, but it didn't look appeasing. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, It was $5.19 and much smaller then usual. The workers assisting me are very rude and unprofessional tonight, which isn't always the case. One of the cooks was sweeping away behind the counter, and when he jumped into help he didn't change his gloves or wash his hands.

Tacos are delicious and hit the spot every time. Tripa is super crunchy! Personally I think it's the best tripa taco around, I highly recommend them. Chicken and Al Pastor is full of flavor. Tacos and burritos are usually packed with meat. The only thing I wasn't impressed by was the beans, I had high hopes since they look delicious. They aren't bad, just not as good as they looked. Staff is nice and offer quick service. Not sure why this business has the comments & reviews from the old Vics restaurant, seems a little unfair no?

These tacos never fail, the salsas are spicy, the tacos are full of flavor they're delicious. My top one is Al Pastor it is so well done and spicy. My other favorites are cabeza y asada. What I like about the asada tacos from here is that saben asar la carne they don't use that nasty pellejuda meat that looks boiled that most taco trucks use for their asada. My kids favorite is the combo plate, they really enjoy the beans they have a little bit of spice to them and taste home made and they add a good amount of meat and tortillas along. Please never change.

Last 1/4 of a carnitas burrito. So big, half for lunch then half for dinner.

2nd location trying in 1 week. Great consistent quality and there brand of flour tortillas. In the last 20 years could find them. I thought catholic churches and schools had an insider access to them.

Absolutely love TDA! We live down the street and come here often. Their food is packed with flavor and always delicious. We always order carne asada burrito and al pastor nachos. They're accommodating every time. I've also ordered a large order for my extended family and they loved it!! In total it ended up costing around $45 dollars for six people. The price is good and the food is exceptional

Al Pastor is really good. We also had the chicken tacos, and they were okay. This used to be Vic's Tacos, and I don't know how close they are, food taste wise, to the Taqueria de Anda in La Habra/Fullerton.

Reallly good customer service, me and three of my friends asked for a water and the waiters gave us a big box of nachos with any topping we wanted for free, the meat was good and so was the rest of the toppings (: I would recommend this

Not worth the $40 we spent. Cold flavorless food. Should have never walked all the way in once I seen how empty it was. Don't recommend.

The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.

We came here because my cousin DJSP was the featured DJ this Sunday, so I did my Yelp research and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect because the most recent reviews were a couple of months old, no recent food photos and menu photos were outdated. However we were going either way because it was also our featured DJ's birthday. We made reservations but that was difficult too as we called for several days until someone actually answered the phone. I was a little surprised because the food we ordered were all pretty tasty, decent portions, and reasonably priced. The service was ok. Orders took a little time to arrive, but they made sure we had chips and salsa and with a full crowd and a limited number of wait staff, they made sure we were still being attended too. It is very loud here with a full restaurant of diners, the live DJ and football games going with loud cheering fans, so if you have sensitive hearing, bring some ear plugs.

Even though the restaurant is small and busy, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waiter Washington, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect too. They had music playing at just the right volume and a big TV showing the live Dodger game, which the kids loved. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa had the perfect level of spice for everyone at the table. The kids ordered horchatas and were excited about the unlimited refills (something you don't always see at other restaurants!). The drinks for the adults were just as impressive. My wife's watermelon margarita on the rocks was perfectly made. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like at some places. Our friends had the "El Jefe" margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila! For dinner, everything was a hit. The kids loved their meals. Albóndigas soup, shrimp tacos, and street tacos--all served with rice and beans. The adult dishes were just as good. The carne asada arrachera was cooked perfectly, the chile verde was full of flavor, and my chicken mole was delicious with a great balance of spicy and sweet without being overwhelming. The portions were very generous, and everything came with rice, beans, and both corn and flour tortillas. The only small thing I would've preferred differently was the chicken in my mole. I personally would've liked a leg and thigh instead of sliced chicken breast but the dish was still very good overall. What really stood out was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, Washington offered us "holy water"-house tequila shots on the house--and it wasn't cheap tequila either! Then after the bill came, he surprised us again with another round of "holy water". That level of generosity and care really impressed us. We also learned that the restaurant has been there 20+ years and is family-run by him and his siblings, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can tell they have a loyal customer base--one couple even said, "See you tomorrow Washington!" The only feedback we'd offer (coming from a customer service background) is that we noticed a few guests waiting at the entrance without being greeted, and one couple actually left the restaurant. A simple "Welcome, we'll be right with you" would go a long way. That said, it didn't take away from our experience. Overall, amazing food, great service, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Great food! Staff was wonderful. Definitely worth it…read more Burria was fantastic. Not tons of seats, but good enough.

I went on a taco run yesterday to try to find the best taco in Whittier…read more Started off the run with a keto taco mixed with asada and al pastor and then a regular tripa taco. Keto taco - toasted/grilled cheese instead of a regular tortilla - needed to be done a little more on one side as the cheese wasn't quite toasty enough to stay in place to slightly resemble the shape of a taco. Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.
