Back to life Cocktail

I came in and was greeted right away by Jenny. We ordered the Back to life Cocktail. Soo delicous. My sons had the taquitos and they were so flavorful. You can tell it's made from scratch and not those frozen taquitos. . The margarita was also delicous. Liz and Jenny were very attentive. Will definitely be back again.

As soon as we sat down, our server brought out five different salsas along with a delicious bean dip! The food arrived beautifully presented on traditional Mexican style plates, complete with fresh garnishes that made everything look even more appetizing. Our server, Lourdes, was incredibly friendly and attentive. She answered all of our questions and shared how proud she is of the restaurant and its food, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Plenty of parking outside, restaurant was clean inside, prices are fair and lots to choose from. We'll definitely be back to try the handmade tortillas!

Literally no bigger than the tiny little burrito you get from McDonald's. The place was super dingy and nasty. I'm not sure what they're doing over there but it seems like very much a local joint. I would give it zero stars if I could. Avoid this at all costs. Super disappointing, given all the misleading positive reviews.

They were fresh, crunchy, with ample green tomatillo salsa that was flavorful, making for a very authentic bite. The beans were very good and complemented the chilaquiles perfectly. Authentic Mexican flavors showcased well. Service: The waitress was friendly, attentive, and joyfully answered my questions about the menu. I also asked about the traditional colorful head piece located behind glass next to the register and learned that it is a Chinelo, a traditional iconic carnival character from Morelos, Mexico. It is clear, the restaurant owners are proud of their heritage and are sharing it with everyone. Ambiance: The small but cozy restaurant features an incredibly vibrant, maximalist indoor garden vibe that immediately makes you feel like you are dining inside an enchanted greenhouse. Dense artificial greenery blankets the walls and ceiling. The cozy, casual neighborhood layout is packed with personality, featuring playful multicolored floral tablecloths, festive flags, and unique lived-in accents. It's an energetic setting for a lively meal.

This restaurant is in such an obscure location, I can't believe I was going to a Burrito Track across the street for so many years not knowing this place existed. Friendly staff and prompt service. The unfortunate negative is it's location and I'm referring to parking. There must be 8 business crammed into this lot. With a bar to the right and a laudermat on its left finding a parking spot is like winning the lotto. Now layer in one driveway and you have to make a 3 point turn just to navigate to leave. The short answer is I will absolutely go back to this place as long as there is a parking space to be had.

The inside is very nice, the seats were very comfortable and overall really cool ambiance. They had a live singer and he was fantastic!! My family loves that type of music and they feel they never find it anywhere so it was a great! He sang very well and it was fun and enjoyable! Now for the food, the original dish I wanted to order was currently unavailable that day, but all good, I ordered the octopus dish instead and it was delicious! It was actually very filling and I didn't feel like they just gave me a skimpy piece of octopus like how other places do sometimes! The green salsa on it was very tasty, and the sope underneath was a nice touch! It also comes with a side of rice and bell peppers which was very good! I also tried a little bit of Mole from another dish and the mole was very flavorful!! Our waiter was nice and the food didn't take long to come out at all. I do plan on coming back to try other dishes and appetizers/drinks as well. The menu wasn't super extensive, but I think they still had a good amount of options to choose from!

Perfect for a nice dinner with friends and family. The service is always top notch, quick, friendly and easy going. You'll feel known even if it's your first time. For food I got a 3 taco plate (plus one my mom wasn't going to eat). Carne Asada, Carnitas, Veggie and Fish. Man they were so good, but I struggled to finish the last one. These are not your average street tacos- these are a meal in themselves. The rice and beans are impeccable, everything I've had there has always been so good- one time I just had rice beans and tortillas and it was a perfect dinner- tortillas are hand made at the front of the restaurant. To drink I had their house cerveza- crisp, refreshing and perfect with a dash of lime. I highly recommend Amor Y tacos for a date night, nice family dinner, outing or any special occasion.

Service: 1/5 The service wasn't the best but apparently our server was on break at the time we were seated. She didn't tell us that, nor did the person serving us, but we overheard her tell another table that was seated after us. She did come once to check up on us but unfortunately, it was too late and we were trying to forget the experience. During this time, there was a larger party of 6 that came in to dine and of course to accommodate, the workers arranged a table together; however, the way that this happened was that they were dragged the heavy tables and chairs together instead of picking them up. I'm not expecting no noise or for them to faintly put the table together, but if this is supposed to be a Michelin Guide restaurant and they want people to fully enjoy their experience, you wouldn't expect extremely loud screeching from the chairs and tables grabbed next to you. Food: 3/5 My mother got the spaghetti with added asada and it was good. My wife got the chilaquiles with tinga and it wasn't bad. The only thing that we wished was that there was more flavor to the tinga other than the salsa it was tossed in, but again, no real complaints. Come to my dish and the star of the show. They served candied pork belly with the rest of the dish in oil. The sides were tasty and flavorful but I wish it wasn't suiting in that oil. The pork belly had no chipotle flavor, and tasted just straight like agave glaze. In my opinion, it wasn't cooked that well either or maybe it was just how the dish was put together that accentuated the sweetness. The fat was rendered well but instead of the meat being crispy, it was burnt and dried out. This just soaked up all that sweetness and made the dish inedible. Since I had already shared the pork belly with my wife and mother, my wife ate the rest of my plate as it was fine like I mentioned, but I couldn't stand it anymore. Unfortunately, this didn't sit well in my body either as I ended up getting sick shortly after. I want to be fair. My instinct was to do a 1 star review but my family enjoyed their dishes and the restaurant vibes itself were very nice. Would I come back? Not if it were up to me but would I recommend it to others? Sure, but stay clear of that pork belly dish.
