4 1/2 stars. My first time dining at this restaurant. It's been open for about 2 years now and replaced a Corner Bakery. Parking lot is sizable and I located a spot even on a Saturday morning. I was greeted by the friendly female behind the counter which was refreshing. The eatery is clean and decorated with a Hawaiian theme which reminded me of dining in Hawaii. The staff is constantly checking in once you are served your food after placing your order at the counter. The menu is diverse, and they have a solid drink selection of fresh juices at the front counter. I ordered the Kalua pork omelet which was served with home style potatoes. The entree of the pork had a smoky flavor and was yummy. We also ordered a full stack banana - macadamia pancakes that were delicious. Im definitely a fan here at Aloha Stacks of Whittier and would recommend.

    Ube Coconut Pancakes Island Chilaquiles

Aloha Stacks has a really nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and only a minimal wait. One of the employees, who seemed like he might have been the manager, was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. They also had staff constantly cleaning tables and the dining area, which kept the restaurant clean and organized. We ordered the Island Chilaquiles and the Ube Pancakes. The chilaquiles were a bit disappointing. The pork was pretty flavorless, and they served a lot of plain rice that didn't really add much. They also weren't very authentic compared to other chilaquiles I've had. The Ube Pancakes, though, were absolutely amazing and worth every penny. They're definitely the reason I'd come back. I also tried the ube latte. It was good at first, but it didn't have a strong ube flavor. After it sat for a while, it developed a really strong alcohol-like taste, which was unexpected and disappointing. I'm not sure what caused it, but it wasn't something I expected. The menu has a wide variety of options, so I'd definitely be open to trying something different next time. Overall, I'd come back for the pancakes, the clean environment, and the great service.

There was a line when we got there - but it goes pretty quickly! You order at the cashier and then rush to find a seat. Luckily the staff was super friendly! Total feel the Aloha vibe in here - they helped us find a spot! They give you #'s at the cashier and then bring your food to the table. Everything was mouthwatering Ono-lishchous! I feel like we ordered it all! Our fave was the ribs! Moist, fall off the bone - drool worthy! Definitely check this spot out! Good for brunch!

    Loco Moco not good

I was very disappointed in the local moco. The hamburger was dry and chewy and the rice was cold. Not a lot of flavor too the gravy. All of the other food we ordered was good. Our service was fantastic. The employee helping us was very helpful and attentive. It is very loud inside. Prices were good coffee was great. Not sure if I would come back again. It's up in the air.

Sorry for 3 stars not your fault but I'll go back and review again when all the road work completed. Food was great. I didn't mind the walk up ordering because your counter staff was friendly and made sure order was correct. I would definitely redesign the counter to make bakery at another counter for patrons to order extra to go before they leave, so they don't have to wait in line again. Or train the bussing staff to ask if we want to order something to go. My daughter had been there before and recommended the crab fried rice. We also ordered a Uber coconut waffle, Iced Hawaiian latte and Uber latte hot. Definitely coming back. Everything delicious. Eat inside and skip the patio because smell of tar outside super strong. It would be 4 stars if no construction outside. I would ask the city to provide signs to detour to your parking lot entrance on High Street.

Aloha! Love this place. Perfect proposition of quality comfort food, relaxed ambiance, quick service at a fair price. Where else can you get a tender 12 ounce prime rib loco moco for $28?

I went here with my partner and her family for lunch. We were greeted by a long line which fortunately moved pretty quickly. The owner walked outside and handed people menus so that they could prepare in advance to speed up the line. I ordered the Avocado Omelette and upgraded my side to 2 pancakes for an additional dollar. Both the omelette and pancakes were fairly large servings which I appreciated a lot. The omelette was flavorful and the pancakes were delicious! I really liked the food and would love to try even more items on their menu. We were originally seated outside in their patio, but the owner waved us over and brought us to a table inside the restaurant instead. Food came out relatively quickly for everyone given our large party. The waiters were constantly checking in with us and refilling our water. The parking lot outside can be a bit packed depending on the time of day. Overall, would definitely come back and try out some other items!

Dined in for breakfast on 5/2 around 10:00 am. It was super busy after we left. You have to come early! If we had to wait, it is worth it! Parking: Plenty since there's a parking lot. How to order: You order at the front and they will bring the food to your table Food: - loco moco with hamburger - 4.5/5, perfect blend with the rice, meat and sauce. The sauce wasn't too salty and it mixed well with the rice. It will fill you up. - spanish latte - 4/5, delicious! This was tasty and worth getting. Overall, we would come back again! There's so many other dishes we want to try! I heard the ube pancakes were bomb!

    Spam Musubi
    Letty P.

Aloha Stacks Five stars for Aloha Stacks in Whittier. I ordered the Ube coconut pancakes and the musubi spam and everything was amazing. The spam musubi was seriously so good--savory, rich, and coated in a really tasty sauce (kind of like teriyaki or a sweet glaze). Super flavorful and honestly addictive. The Ube coconut pancakes were just as impressive. Soft, warm, and topped with toasted coconut flakes, ube sauce, syrup, and a light cream that tied everything together perfectly. I got it to go, but the food still came out hot and fresh. Service was fast and efficient, and the restaurant itself looked really cute with big glass windows and a bright, relaxed vibe. Perfect spot for a quick, delicious meal.

    Breakfast Egg Burrito with Bacon

Be prepared for a wait! This place gets BUSY! Line out the door and around the building busy. Came with a friend around 10am on a Friday morning, parking was full but the line was short when we joined, it got longer as time went on. Line moves pretty fast though. Restaurant was well kept and clean despite all the busyness which was nice. I ordered a breakfast egg burrito with bacon as my protein, I saw in pictures it came with a side of tortilla chips and salsa but since I am not a salsa person and saw the burrito came with no sauce I subbed it for spicy mayo. 9/10 good burrito wasn't dry even without the sauce but the spicy mayo did add flavor. Weird sides to go with a breakfast burrito, will try to sub for fruit maybe next time. Friend ordered the Katsu Curry and an Iced Mocha, she said it tasted great! Would be happy to come back to try other foods since I love Hawaiian food.

The food and the atmosphere at Stacks are amazing! What's not to like about a restaurant that offers delicious, fresh, and mouth-watering dishes? Prices are fair, and the portion sizes are good. Service is GREAT!! Each employee my family and I encountered was friendly, engaging, and helpful. Indoor and outdoor seating in the coveted patio is available. Parking is available on the street or in the private parking lot.

The food was delicious! The menu is full of delicious options. All of the plates have generous portions. Perfect for singles or families. The service is spot on. We were fortunate enough to talk to Maricela. FABULOUS hostess. Ambiance was excellent. We are from Tucson Arizona and will definitely return.

    Ribeye loco mock
    Travis M.

Stayed in Whittier at my sisters last night and she decided to take me to breakfast. She chose Aloha Stacks and when we got there the line was out the door and around the building. That tells you off the bat the food is going to be good. We waited about 30 minutes before we ordered and sat down but the food came pretty quick. I had the ribeye loco moco and I give this plate an absolute 5 stars , I tried my sisters pancakes and those were good, my daughter got the crepes which she practically finished the whole plate! The service is great and the environment is pleasant. I can't wait until they open one up in Oceanside

It was such a fun experience revisiting a place filled with memories while trying something completely new. Everything I ordered was enjoyable! The real surprise was the garlic bread: perfectly balancing sweet and savory flavors, topped with a flaky crust that added a wonderful texture. I would definitely come back. I ordered it hot, but the outside was only slightly warm when I got it and it was very cold on the inside. Portion wise it was pretty big so portions are worth it I guess, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I think there's some sort of sauce in it, I am not exactly sure, but I just didn't like the flavor!
