Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Friendly staff, upon arrival. We were an hour ahead of our reservation and they were able to seat us within 25 minutes. Cameron was so sweet and attentive. I'm a classic breakfast type of gal, so that's what I got. The potatoes were the best. Perfectly cooked to a crisp. The bacon was perfectly crisp too. Eggs were ok. I'll used to pasture raised, but I know eggs are a hot commodity these days. The sourdough toast is good too. We shared the churro French toast which were delicious. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays so Cameron brought us a slice of carrot cake and a slice of chocolate cake. They were both good, but the carrot cake was slightly more moist. We went here on a Saturday. It wasn't super packed, lots of open tables but service was bad. Our server was actually rude. We ended up getting our own utensils. Refills on water were never provided (we had a hard time requesting as she was hardly available). We had to ask other servers for extra sauce. Heck, even when a friend paused to tell our server that she enjoyed her meal, the server left without even waiting to hear her out. The only time we saw half a smile was when she came for bill payment. This was honestly one of the worst service I have ever had. The food was okay. My chips got too soggy, too quick. Matches very well with the gaudy teal, pink and olive green decor. Food: The French toast was thick and hearty. The Nutella toast was generously spread and not skimpy at all. We used to go to Toast when it was on First Street, so walking into this new Whittier location felt like leveling up. The space is beautiful, modern, clean, and stylish with a beautiful interior design that gives it a polished welcoming vibe. Whoever designed this place deserves a shoutout, because it makes you want to linger over your latte instead of rushing out. We came for breakfast and left full; portions are generous, and the flavors hit the mark. I had chicken and waffles and breakfast burrito, which were hearty and satisfying without being overly greasy. My wife went for an omelet and everything was well-prepared. It's definitely on the pricier side, though, so just know you're paying a little extra for the setting and the vibe. Worth it? Mostly, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more elevated than your average brunch spot. One heads-up: bottomless champagne is only on weekdays, which was a bit of a letdown since we visited on a Saturday. The staff was friendly, so no real complaints. So far this is one of my favorite brunch spots by me! I've literally tried half the items from the menu and have never been disappointed in the slightest! Food is amazing, I love the chilquiles, Spanish and Chorizo Omeletes, Pumpkin Spice Pancakes, I could go on! They did change the menu about a year ago, and I do miss some of these items including the skillets and Deep Fried Pancakes that I literally used to always come here for. Mimosas is a must here- and you can get a pretty good deal on them too. And their Expresso or Horchata Matcha Martini. It is a quiter restaurant, and you can come here for a nice brucnh or lunch, as well as dinner. It's a nice and calm place to visit friends and family with, I have brought many people here as the food, service, and ambience is always relaible and pleasing to the senses. read more

We came for Sunday brunch and I like that we were able to make reservations through Yelp. This restaurant is very popular on weekends and there can be a wait if you try and walk in. But the restaurant is huge so the wait won't be unreasonable. I will say that because it was busy it took 30-35 minutes or so before our food arrived at our table. The food was a mixed bag. The pancake was about a foot wide and was fluffy and delicious. I thought the eggs lacked salt, as did my breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were also dry and lifeless. My wife's avo toast was fine, but again lacked seasoning. Our server Miguel was professional and courteous, and was the best part of our experience. I'm not sure I would come back given the food, but I know there are plenty of people who do come here, so perhaps the kitchen was just having a subpar morning. read more

For a beverage, we ordered an orange jealous was delicious, like an orange Julius. It felt like we were transported somewhere tropical. I ordered the Spanish omelette with their hash brown chips. I was thoroughly impressed with this dish. The omelette was cooked to perfection with the tomatoes and bell peppers giving it tremendous flavor. The jalapeños actually had a kick to them! I also asked for a side of salsa verde and this took it to a whole other level. Now the hash brown potatoes are the best hash browns I've ever had. A total must-have. Every bite was crispy and crunchy just like eating French fries, and seasoned so well. I also had the side dish of arugula salad (which was fine, nothing too special.) The ambience was very nice. It was slightly dim-lit, decorated very cute perfect for brunch with the girls. The interior design is very beautiful & gives an upscale vibe. The service was ok. I didn't appreciate a comment made by our server. When she came by after my hubby & I finished our meals she hit us with the "Wow I didn't think you'd finish all that". Don't know if she was trying to be rude or fat shame or maybe just her way of making small talk idk but that comment was not appreciated. Best believe we can eat, shame or no shame. The French toast didn't deliver on the crunch part I could not taste the Cap'n Crunch whatsoever but overall the flavor was decent. This is a cute "little" breakfast spot (actually it's very big inside with a lot of seating). We've been here two different times because the food doesn't disappoint. When you first enter there is a cute decorated wall perfect for pictures. The inside very big with plenty of seating. They also have a bar area! All the servers are friendly. The one thing is that it did take a while to get our breakfast; I understand it takes time but it took a lot longer than expect even though it wasn't busy at the time we came. For drinks, we got a mimosa and margarita flight as well as the Mexican Mocha. To share we always get one of their French toasts. Their churro French toast is tasty but was a little dry for us. The best one was the strawberry cheesecake! It's stacked with strawberries and cream cheese frosting in the middle. Very enjoyable. 5/2024: Another great time at mimosas which is now also called Toast. Stopped in for Sunday brunch and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, drinks and service. We were seated in about five minutes and immediately ordered a flight of the mimosas and the margaritas. The flavors we were provided were simply marvelous. This is probably the best was to sample their best flavors. Onto the food, chilaquiles, chocolate pancake and French toast. These were all palate pleasers...totally scrumptious. The place is always comfortable, clean and the staff members are really nice. We loved Toast In Brea, so we decided to stop by Toast in Whittier. My meal was great but my husband's steak was so tough we questioned whether or not it was actually Filet mignon. He expressed his dissatisfaction and was offered a new meal. So he opted for just a regular Filet mignon, COoked medium. They brought out a very thin, grey-looking steak. This hurt since I really like this place. He's not gonna want to go back. Very cute brunch spot in Whittier! It's situated right on Whittier Blvd. in what looks like an old mission/Spanish style building. The food portions are generous and the drinks are strong! My first time here and loved the food. We went for brunch on a Thursday at 11:30am. Was not busy at all. We were seated right away and our server was not too friendly. She didn't ask if this was our 1st time or gave us a warm welcome. Our food came fast and fresh. My Benedict were delicious and my Dad loved his giant burrito and seasoned potatoes.
