LOOK!!! This place is top of the line! Food was flavorful and mediately priced. Ambiance is modern casual A good amount of seating inside and outside. BUT the best part about this place is the service!!! It is hard to find good service now days but this place breaks the mold. Staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Also they are everywhere and always available to help with any needs. Food and ambiance 5stars Service 10plus stars. One of the best dining experiences I've had in years
Such an incredible first experience with this location! The service is so cozy and welcoming. They really are very attentive in taking away any plates and providing any needs. We had a medium sized group (4 adults and 2 child). They have plenty of space with mixed seating styles (booths, high tables, and regular 4 seating tables). We really enjoyed it all. The food had great portions. One plate is enough for 2 people. The lattes were very yummy as well. The Hawaiian latte come highly recommended.
Rainy day in Southern California and we wanted warm comfort food. We ordered the Loco Moco with hamburger meat came with two eggs, rice and gravy. The other tasty dish Katsu Curry that came with two eggs to your liking, rice and katsu gravy. This meal came out to $36 with no drinks. We opted for the complimentary water carafe. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I love the option of patio or indoor dining. Make sure you order first then you will be seated. I ordered the Ube Coconut pancakes in the past and they very savory. Hauʻoli!! (You often use e hauʻoli to say "to enjoy")
Big fan of Aloha Stacks!! I've tried their sister restaurant Scramblers and they are consistent!! I got to try their Captain Mac French Toast, Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict and Crab and Mushroom Benedict. Of those 3, I could do without the Kalua Pork Benedict (now that I've tried the Crab and Mushroom). The french toast was unbelievably good. The portions are huge and they give a lot of house potatoes. Prices are fair too Service was good considering it's an order-at-the-counter restaurant. The staff checked on us multiple times.
4 1/2 stars. My first time dining at this restaurant. It's been open for about 2 years now and replaced a Corner Bakery. Parking lot is sizable and I located a spot even on a Saturday morning. I was greeted by the friendly female behind the counter which was refreshing. The eatery is clean and decorated with a Hawaiian theme which reminded me of dining in Hawaii. The staff is constantly checking in once you are served your food after placing your order at the counter. The menu is diverse, and they have a solid drink selection of fresh juices at the front counter. I ordered the Kalua pork omelet which was served with home style potatoes. The entree of the pork had a smoky flavor and was yummy. We also ordered a full stack banana - macadamia pancakes that were delicious. Im definitely a fan here at Aloha Stacks of Whittier and would recommend.
Best breakfast in Whittier hands down. I always recommend this spot whenever I eat with friends because it hits every single time. Service is pretty good and vibes are even better! I like the ambiance of the restaurant and I usually don't give that compliment often. So hopefully that says something!
There was a line when we got there - but it goes pretty quickly! You order at the cashier and then rush to find a seat. Luckily the staff was super friendly! Total feel the Aloha vibe in here - they helped us find a spot! They give you #'s at the cashier and then bring your food to the table. Everything was mouthwatering Ono-lishchous! I feel like we ordered it all! Our fave was the ribs! Moist, fall off the bone - drool worthy! Definitely check this spot out! Good for brunch!
I went here with my partner and her family for lunch. We were greeted by a long line which fortunately moved pretty quickly. The owner walked outside and handed people menus so that they could prepare in advance to speed up the line. I ordered the Avocado Omelette and upgraded my side to 2 pancakes for an additional dollar. Both the omelette and pancakes were fairly large servings which I appreciated a lot. The omelette was flavorful and the pancakes were delicious! I really liked the food and would love to try even more items on their menu. We were originally seated outside in their patio, but the owner waved us over and brought us to a table inside the restaurant instead. Food came out relatively quickly for everyone given our large party. The waiters were constantly checking in with us and refilling our water. The parking lot outside can be a bit packed depending on the time of day. Overall, would definitely come back and try out some other items!
Dined in for breakfast on 5/2 around 10:00 am. It was super busy after we left. You have to come early! If we had to wait, it is worth it! Parking: Plenty since there's a parking lot. How to order: You order at the front and they will bring the food to your table Food: - loco moco with hamburger - 4.5/5, perfect blend with the rice, meat and sauce. The sauce wasn't too salty and it mixed well with the rice. It will fill you up. - spanish latte - 4/5, delicious! This was tasty and worth getting. Overall, we would come back again! There's so many other dishes we want to try! I heard the ube pancakes were bomb!
Aloha Stacks has a really nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and only a minimal wait. One of the employees, who seemed like he might have been the manager, was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. They also had staff constantly cleaning tables and the dining area, which kept the restaurant clean and organized. We ordered the Island Chilaquiles and the Ube Pancakes. The chilaquiles were a bit disappointing. The pork was pretty flavorless, and they served a lot of plain rice that didn't really add much. They also weren't very authentic compared to other chilaquiles I've had. The Ube Pancakes, though, were absolutely amazing and worth every penny. They're definitely the reason I'd come back. I also tried the ube latte. It was good at first, but it didn't have a strong ube flavor. After it sat for a while, it developed a really strong alcohol-like taste, which was unexpected and disappointing. I'm not sure what caused it, but it wasn't something I expected. The menu has a wide variety of options, so I'd definitely be open to trying something different next time. Overall, I'd come back for the pancakes, the clean environment, and the great service.
Be prepared for a wait! This place gets BUSY! Line out the door and around the building busy. Came with a friend around 10am on a Friday morning, parking was full but the line was short when we joined, it got longer as time went on. Line moves pretty fast though. Restaurant was well kept and clean despite all the busyness which was nice. I ordered a breakfast egg burrito with bacon as my protein, I saw in pictures it came with a side of tortilla chips and salsa but since I am not a salsa person and saw the burrito came with no sauce I subbed it for spicy mayo. 9/10 good burrito wasn't dry even without the sauce but the spicy mayo did add flavor. Weird sides to go with a breakfast burrito, will try to sub for fruit maybe next time. Friend ordered the Katsu Curry and an Iced Mocha, she said it tasted great! Would be happy to come back to try other foods since I love Hawaiian food.
The food and the atmosphere at Stacks are amazing! What's not to like about a restaurant that offers delicious, fresh, and mouth-watering dishes? Prices are fair, and the portion sizes are good. Service is GREAT!! Each employee my family and I encountered was friendly, engaging, and helpful. Indoor and outdoor seating in the coveted patio is available. Parking is available on the street or in the private parking lot.
I was very disappointed in the local moco. The hamburger was dry and chewy and the rice was cold. Not a lot of flavor too the gravy. All of the other food we ordered was good. Our service was fantastic. The employee helping us was very helpful and attentive. It is very loud inside. Prices were good coffee was great. Not sure if I would come back again. It's up in the air.

Food was delicious. Came on a Wednesday around 9:30am. Ordered at the counter and easily found a seat. Food came out fairly quickly and was great. I really enjoyed the pancakes. If you're not a banana fan, then I don't recommend. It's not overpowering, which I liked. Friend ordered the Loco Moco and she said it was really good. We plan to return to try other items on the menu. Not pictures, the POG, was good. I don't like tangy drinks, I enjoy more sweet, so if you're expecting it to be tangy, then I wouldn't recommend. It wasn't overly sweet but perfect for my liking. read more

The service is incredible. You order at the counter but the staff were very helpful in seating customers and keeping us warm in the patio. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. My favorite menu item was the chocolate chip muffin. I'm looking forward to a future trip. read more

My husband and I have been to this restaurant for brunch a few times. We've had great experiences and the food has been delicious every time. You order at the counter, where there's a display of desserts, pastries, and drinks. There's also a written menu listing the different food specials they have. After paying, you take a number and find a table. Your drinks and food are brought out to you when ready. The food is Hawaiian or Hawaiian fusion, and it's excellent. For yesterday's visit we ordered the Ube Coconut Pancakes and Island Chilaquiles to share, and had our own Iced Ube Lattes. The Ube Coconut Pancakes were warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. They give you a coconut cream sauce to put on the pancakes, which compliments it well. We also thought the Island Chilaquiles were unique, delicious, and full of flavor. The Kalua pork in the chilaquiles was tender and flavorful, and paired well with the red sauce. The side of refried beans and white rice that come with it are a perfect addition to the dish. Another thing worth noting; they give you generous portions, which is good for sharing and/or leftovers. We also enjoyed our lattes and thought they were very tasty with a nice addition of shredded coconut. Every time we've visited the staff have been very friendly and had our food brought out to us quickly. They've provided great customer service, were very attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself is very clean and spacious with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a Hawaiian themed/modern interior design with Hawaiian music playing at a comfortable listening level in the background. We enjoyed the dining atmosphere when we went, because it's relaxing and not too loud or busy. The vibe reminds us of our trip to Hawaii so they've nailed it there. Great restaurant! I love this place so much! Island style breakfast? How can you go wrong! I've been here only once and man oh man I love the plating, who ever owns this place knows what exactly what they're doing! Came here for breakfast today ... although the line was a bit long, it moved fairly quickly. We were immediately greeted by a friendly Staff member and handed a menu while we waited . Lots of standard choices with a " Hawaiian twist." There are also some specials listed on a chalk board up near the counter. Hubbly found a table while a stood in line to order. Another staff came by and dropped off 2 glasses and a cold water jar at the table . Place your order at the counter and put your number visibly at your table . ( there's a stand to put the number card.) Staff will bring your order to the table . Hubby got the chicken katsu loco moco. I guess he enjoyed it because he ate the whole plate! I got the Canadian ham eggs Benedict with potatoes. It was standard fare but still good ( would have been better if the potatoes were crispier). We looked around for trash bins to put away our plates but didn't see any . We assumed staff clear tha tables when you leave . Next time leave room for your sweet tooth because the muffins and cookies looked delicious. read more
A lovely Halloween breakfast! This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it was really packed, but definitely worth it. The line went out the door, but it moved rather quickly. I like the variety of food on their menu. There was a lot to choose from with breakfast and lunch options. I really liked the inside of the restaurant. It was self seating, and looked very islander. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the island Chilaquiles and the pineapple, orange and guava juice The food portion was quite large and very filling. Came to celebrate two birthdays for breakfast. Didn't realize how busy this location gets, the line actually to place an order and then get seated is extremely long and confusing, considering the way it wraps inside the restaurant, someone should be there to help assist customers. Food was good, I'm not into ube, I didn't like the pancake, the portuguese sausage for me, was overcooked and too salty, the local moco for me, was just okay. Customer service was good. Came back and tried the ube pancakes and ube latte and it was phenomenal!! Also tried the kahlua pork and it was delicious. So far everything we have tried has been super tasty. Again the servers are soo nice and attentive and willing to help you figure out what to try. We sat "outside", since we had our doggie with us and they even took care of him. I came here for a late breakfast on a weekday. They have a parking lot to the rear of the restaurant. Having been to several of their locations, I was familiar with the menu so knew what I wanted before I even walked in. The sweet woman at the register took my order of Captain Mac French Toast (made with Cap'n Crunch and chopped macadamia nuts) and a iced mocha latte. The french toast comes with butter and syrup but I also asked for coconut syrup. Their coconut syrup is sort of a secret menu item as it's not mentioned anywhere; you know it if you know it. It's essential for french toast or pancakes as it's incredibly delicious. The interior is large and they even have a dog-friendly covered patio. I took a seat at a small counter as I was there solo and didn't want to take up a full table. I was given a number to put on my table for the delivery of my food and drink, which arrived in short order. The french toast was made perfectly, enhanced with the crunchy cereal and bits of nuts. As mentioned, the coconut syrup took it to another level. The fresh strawberry placed on top was fresh and flavorful. The iced mocha latte was above average; not the best I've ever had, but I'm not complaining - it was satisfying. Yet another Aloha Stacks location that hits it out of the ballpark. read more

Came here for Saturday brunch and this place was very busy with lines out the door. However, the line moved super fast and the food came out quickly. The girl in the cash register recommended the Captain Mac Nut, one of their top sellers. It was sweet with enough macadamia nuts but couldn't really taste the Captain crunch. The spicy chicken and bacon waffle wasn't spicy, but the combination was very good. All portions are big and shareable. We ordered a mango, guava, and blueberry smoothie, very good. Also the hot chocolate with a shot of espresso also very good. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and pets are welcomed. The parking for this location was a bit hectic. They share parking with a bank which had a security guard checking that restaurant patrons didn't park on their section. Waited about 10min for someone to leave. Excited to go back and try something else from their menu. read more

I visited early this morning, right after they opened. I was craving their pancakes that I've fallen in love with. I had their hot coffee for the first time (I usually get a latte) and it was rich with nice body - satisfying cup of coffee. Of course I had pancakes and they were warm, fluffy and so soft. I tried the kalua pork omelette and I was impressed with the amount of shredded pork inside. They were generous with the cheese on top too. I appreciate their manager who always presents with a pleasant affect and personal greetings. The staff have been very nice as well. I also want to comment on the environment of the restaurant this morning. Calming and relaxing music was playing, the AC was on and the air was cool and fresh causing the space to feel more open and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and orderly. It was definitely a lovely experience and I was in my happy place before staring my studies for the day. read more
I needed a quick delivery before my gig so I ordered the Breakfast Egg Burrito with portuguese sausage and it was delicious. The spice on the portuguese sausage was subtle but packed with flavor. The size of this burrito Breakfast Egg Burrito was huge i could not eat it all. I got the green sauce which a zesty flavor to which I enjoyed. Came here around 11 AM on a Thursday, wasn't really packed, lots of tables. You order through the cashier first then they give you a number and they serve you the food and drinks. Good service, came out pretty fast and overall nice. The food was okay, nothing too special. The star of the show was mostly the oreo Belgian waffle. They have a lot of specials and deals going on which is great. Overall, this place is a pretty good breakfast/brunch place to chill with your family and everything. Ordered the Kalua pork + cabbage plate and Macadamia Nut pancakes. The pork was very smoky with small pieces being very tender and thicker pieces were a little tough. The pancake was decent although on the saltier side when syrup wasn't added. Everyone was welcoming and nice and food came out in a timely manner. We ordered the mac nut banana pancakes, garden stuffed crepes with a house salad, kalua pork benedict, and ribeye chilaquiles. Everything was tasty and came out looking great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience better. Downside is that you have to order first and then find a table, but since it was packed we ended up hovering around waiting for people to leave just to sit down, which was a bit annoying. Overall though, the food and service make it worth it, and I'd definitely come back, just be ready for a bit of a scramble if it's busy. read more

Wow! This place was amazing! You wait in line to order food! It was a cashless spot so bring your cc or Apple Pay which was convenient and awesome! The location was nice and clean. The prices were reasonable but the food, was the highlight! Totally recommend! I had the Loco Moco and wife had the chilaquiles and for a sweet treat we had the trio waffles! Delicious! Whittier is a bit of a stretch for me but I'm so glad I stopped in. The prime rib loco moco was fire. Probably not the healthiest choice but gotta try. Prime rib was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the eggs were just right. Next time I'm having this over their fried rice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Checked on more than a few times. I took some of my coworkers here for breakfast. This is the first time we'd ever heard of Aloha stacks. We didn't know what to expect. We all got some breakfast entrees and they were delicious. I especially loved a coconut pineapple, pancakes and the Hawaiian latte was very tasty. Service was wonderful. Everyone was smiling and explaining all the menu items for us. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy and wonderful for a meeting that we were going to have. I would highly recommend this place for anybody, who enjoys quality breakfast food. I will be going next time for lunch with my family! The menu has so many tasty options! read more

Come check this place out Friday - Sunday! Get the prime rib loco moco and opt for the fried rice substitute. A little pricey but sooo worth it! Service is always extremely friendly and fast, the manager is always walking around welcoming everyone and making sure we're all feeling the aloha. You got to love it.. I already can't wait for my next visit haha parking is free and plentiful, tables are only available for diners after an order is placed, and the whole restaurant is kept clean! My wife and I finally got a chance to check out Aloha Stacks today and it was amazing! We have tried on numerous occasions but it's always jam-packed. We understand why now! The food is delicious and the staff is so kind! We let the manager know that it was our first time and she was so sweet and gave us a courtesy Ube muffin and wow did it hit the spot! I recommend Aloha Stacks 100% even if it looks super busy outside know that it is worth the wait! read more

We went with the yummy soft shell crab omelette again and wow is it so flavorful! The guava toffee french toast was delicious as well! The sauce is deliciously sweet Tip: send person from your party to get a table while you're waiting in line to order. read more
Came here around 11ish on a Saturday and no wait! You stand in line to order food first and are given a number, you do have to find a table. It didn't take us long to find one. Now for the food - I would come back JUST for the Ube pancakes! They were sooo moist and delicious, especially paired with the coconut dip yum! I also thought the loco moco (you can customize what kind of protein and we went with the OG meat patty) - the gravy was delish. Upgraded to the fried rice and it was the move! My nephew ordered the island chilaquiles which was also yummy! Portions were great, we had leftovers to bring home! Docked down one point because I was disappointed with the coffee! Couldn't taste any Ube in the Ube latte at all, but the island/aloha latte was better. For sure would come back! Definitely reminded me of Hawaii! read more
I noticed Aloha Stacks on my way to the DMV so I figured I'd stop by afterwards if it was still breakfast time. I was looking over the menu and decided on chicken cutlet curry with scrambled eggs. It really not a breakfast item but it sounded good in my mind. I ordered to go and when I got to the office I realized it didn't have enough curry and the chicken looked processed and was super dry. Even the rice tasted old so I definitely won't be ordering that again. I also ordered the breakfast egg burritos with sausage for my coworker friend. I tried a slice of it and it was alright. Service was quick as I ordered the food at the counter and within 10 minutes I got my meal to go. The place is modern and well lit and air conditioned and very roomy for those weekend crowds. Ample parking on the side and back. They do have street parking on the backside of the restaurant. read more
I've seen some reels highlighting how good this place is and hyping up their ube coconut pancakes. Glad there's multiple locations and that I was able to go to this one. Since it's a brunch place, they close a little bit after lunch, so during my lunch hour there was a decently long line from the counter all the way to the back of the restaurant. Despite this, the workers were fairly efficient with taking everyone's orders. You order at the counter first, and then take your number to any of the "reserved" tables around the restaurant. There's booth and small counter "bar" seating, high table seating, and some covered outdoor seats too. The service to get our food took a bit longer and not everything came out at the same time, but overall, it wasn't too bad for the lunch rush. We got the: 1) Ube Coconut Pancakes: -This comes with 2 pancakes, a side of butter, coconut shaving flakes on top, and a heaping helping of their ube sauce. -Can be a bit messy, but delicious overall. -Pancakes are very fluffy and not too sweet nor soggy with all of the sauce either. Delicious and perfect for all the ube lovers out there. 2) Spam Musubi: -I believe this is made to order because the nori seaweed wrap was still crispy and not soggy either. Spam wasn't too salty and had a decent amount of sauce on the rice too. Not bad. Overall not a bad place for brunch and I would love to come back to try their French toast and their savory dishes. read more

Decided to come here with my son for a Sunday morning breakfast. Wait time to order was about 15 minutes or so. I was worried about seating as it appeared to be a first come first serve seating after you order. Luckily they have an awesome system in place where they place a reserved sign on all clean tables ready to be used once you receive your number from ordering. So seating was very easy! We ordered the Iced Ube Latte, Kids pancakes with eggs and sausage, Kids orange juice, Hibachi steak with scrambled eggs and potatoes, short stack of Ube Pancakes and a slice of Aloha Oreo Cheesecake. All of the food was absolutely amazing. Flavors were fantastic, great portions and great service. Drinks came out first, followed shortly by the food. Everything was at our table within 5-10 minutes. Servers were working hard as there was a constant line out the door. Great teamwork from the staff, well run business! read more

Stayed in Whittier at my sisters last night and she decided to take me to breakfast. She chose Aloha Stacks and when we got there the line was out the door and around the building. That tells you off the bat the food is going to be good. We waited about 30 minutes before we ordered and sat down but the food came pretty quick. I had the ribeye loco moco and I give this plate an absolute 5 stars , I tried my sisters pancakes and those were good, my daughter got the crepes which she practically finished the whole plate! The service is great and the environment is pleasant. I can't wait until they open one up in Oceanside read more

I've driven by this spot for quite some time since they opened and wow I should have stopped by sooner. Everything about this spot was great! From food, to Service, cleanliness, ambiance. WOW! They exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Loco Moco with the Patty and my fiance ordered the Two Egg & Protein breakfast with Hibachi Steak. The Hibachi steak is EXTREMELY flavorful I'd recommend it 100%! Our plates were wonderful with a side of crispy Tater tots and a Hawaiian Latte. While ordering we noticed how busy it was but as soon as any customers would make their way out, the cafe would buss the tables right away. Listening to some Hawaiian music while enjoying our breakfast is such a nice touch. I can't wait to come by again and try more items from their menu! read more

Just moved to Whittier and what an awesome welcome and insanely delicious breakfast! By far my favorite being the Kalua Pok Benedict!!! We walked in on a Friday at 12 pm and the line was out the door! Luckily service was quick and there was ample patio and indoor seating. Pricing is reasonable and worth it! Guava Toffee French Toast (5/5) - So good!! Perfectly crispy and not too sweet, would 100% recommend and order again! Kalua Pork Omelette (4/5) - Also very good! This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! From the food to the customer service, everything was amazing. We ordered both the Loco Moco with Portuguese sausage and a hamburger patty as well as the Island Chilaquiles and the flavor profiles were so uniquely different from each other in the absolute best way possible. The star of the show however was the UBE COCONUT PANCAKES!! We savored every last bite. Maricela was the most amazing server someone could ask for. She was so sweet and made the experience even better with her great service and kind personality!! The food was so good that my boyfriend's belt broke after finishing the last bite of the loco moco Definitely will be coming back!! read more
