Chapala Bakery is the most authentic Bakery you will find in all of Los Angeles. I'm so happy I know about it. The pan dulce is delicious and affordable. Beware that they do sell out fast due to the demand. I recommend you give it a try. Inside, you can smell the delicious breads made daily.

Sorry but this place is just average. The Mexican bread just average, nothing special about it . The reason I decided to write this review, the lady behind the counter. I went there this morning to purchase some Mexican bread for an event I needed to attend. My normal bakery was closed. The lady behind the counter was so rude, simply Blew my mind A small business needing to generate sales from patrons like myself. Left such a this taste in my mouth that six hours after my visit I felt compelled to write this review. Not only was he attitude poor made it worse by charging three dollars for a cardboard box that probably cost $.20. A lack of flavor and the bread, absolutely horrid attitude and miscellaneous charges equals a recipe for disaster with this business concerned it's been years since I've been here I can guarantee you I will never return

A true delight! This bakery has a sister location in Montebello on Whittier Blvd & Garfield which also provides a great selection of "pan dulce"/sweet bread. This location located in Uptown Whittier has convenient street parking and a great selection of pan dulce, tamales, champorado, bolilos, cakes, pastries, and sandwiches. The selections are always fresh and the service is excellent. I highly recommend the bolilos which are so soft and perfect for making sandwiches or stuffing with cheese and frijoles (beans). The sandwiches are also very tasty, a bit pricy, but worth the price. Don't forget to buy a reusable bag. Enjoy your visit!

Super cheap! Super delicious. I get the rainbow cookie with rainbow sprinkles. The service is fast and they only charge 3$ for the items.

Went for their oatmeal. Delicious! Oatmeal is very tasty. They won't have it ready if you go before 7am in the summer.

came back to the spot where my husband and I had our very first date. Back then, it was a boba…read moreshop, but it has since been transformed into a cozy coffee shop. It was such a fun experience revisiting a place filled with memories while trying something completely new. Everything I ordered was enjoyable! The banana coffee was the standout--it was absolutely delicious and something I'd gladly order again. The strawberry matcha was decent, though not my favorite. The real surprise was the garlic bread: perfectly balancing sweet and savory flavors, topped with a flaky crust that added a wonderful texture. I would definitely come back. The pastries alone looked incredible, and there are so many items I'd love to try next time. And of course, the banana coffee is a must-order!

Okay so to begin, I loved my drink!! I got the sweet corn latte with oat milk instead of whole milk…read moreand I thought it was so good!! I have never had a corn latte before and I don't see it at other places so I'll definitely be coming back for this! I also tried a sip of the Smokin Spaniard, hot, and thought it was really good as well! Prices are very comparable and average to other places, nothing too crazy. So I think the drinks are great!! The lady who helped me at the register was very nice as well and great at giving recommendations! I will say though, I got the ham and cheese breakfast croissant and I was not a fan. I ordered it hot, but the outside was only slightly warm when I got it and it was very cold on the inside. Portion wise it was pretty big so portions are worth it I guess, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I think there's some sort of sauce in it, I am not exactly sure, but I just didn't like the flavor! I think I'll just stick to the drinks for when I come!! The inside was really cute and very clean. I like how they have the cup holders at their stations by the trash can that way you don't have to ask or if you want an extra it's there!

The empanadas are really good and the coffee is delicious, I've been craving these for a while…read more It's the perfect breakfast and coffee spot They have a solid arrangement of pretty good pan dulce Every time I go in the staff is really nice I'm not sure what their hours are tho, the last couple times I try to go they were closed even tho their hours say they should be open

Well safe to say I had a very bad experience here. I wanted to order the chorizo breakfast burrito…read morewithout the jalapeno, and the young female worker said that the chorizo already had the jalapeno in it and that's just how it comes. So I then ask for the regular breakfast burrito and she then says that's a discontinued item. So the chorizo burrito has chorizo, egg, cheese jalapeno and potato? The breakfast burrito has egg, cheese, ham and potato. But the breakfast burrito is discontinued??? Really??? Then the girl says just get the chorizo burrito and to just pick them out as I go. What???? And we ordered to eat there but our food was served in a bag and foil. Oh and I did not receive my water The burrito was small and not much flavor and we paid over $30 for this experience....we will not be coming back. Sorry
