The empanadas are really good and the coffee is delicious, I've been craving these for a while. It's the perfect breakfast and coffee spot They have a solid arrangement of pretty good pan dulce Every time I go in the staff is really nice I'm not sure what their hours are tho, the last couple times I try to go they were closed even tho their hours say they should be open read more

Well safe to say I had a very bad experience here. I wanted to order the chorizo breakfast burrito without the jalapeno, and the young female worker said that the chorizo already had the jalapeno in it and that's just how it comes. So I then ask for the regular breakfast burrito and she then says that's a discontinued item. So the chorizo burrito has chorizo, egg, cheese jalapeno and potato? The breakfast burrito has egg, cheese, ham and potato. But the breakfast burrito is discontinued??? Really??? Then the girl says just get the chorizo burrito and to just pick them out as I go. What???? And we ordered to eat there but our food was served in a bag and foil. Oh and I did not receive my water The burrito was small and not much flavor and we paid over $30 for this experience....we will not be coming back. Sorry read more

Mariachi Bakery - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Whittier, California

I stopped by Mariachi Bakery in Whittier and I'm so glad I did! I got the Spanish Banana Latte, and it was amazing. It had the perfect cinnamon and banana flavor, and the coffee was super smooth. It wasn't bitter at all and wasn't overly milky either, which I really liked. The prices are really reasonable too. My latte was under $7, which honestly is pretty rare these days. They have a huge selection of different lattes, so I'll definitely be coming back to work my way through the menu. The inside is really spacious with plenty of seating, and I loved all the wall decor. It's a Mexican-themed bakery, so they also have a great selection of pan dulce if you're looking for something to pair with your drink. The parking lot is currently under construction, but there was street parking available, so it wasn't a big deal.If you're in the Whittier area and love coffee, definitely give this place a try. I can't wait to come back and try more of their lattes! The customer service was great as well. She took my order and I got my drink fast. read more

Ooh nooo! I really wanted to like this place, but the "cafe de Olla" was so potent with strong and cinnamony- piloncillo flavors that you couldn't even taste the caffeine or coffee bean. The beloved Puerquito tasted like days old and stale. The papa con chorizo burrito was so skinny and, tasted frozen like it gets reheated in a turbo oven. Not sure that I'll be back ever again, and it's such a disappointment. If you like an extra sweet tooth on the go, help yourself and help out the business! read more

A couple weeks back i went here and placed an order online but I wasn't aware the business hours had changed due to construction going on but my husband still went to the location to check if it was closed and the workers there, I believe their names were Claudia and Josue were sweet enough to still make our order , definitely will be coming back here!! read more

This is one of the three locations. The other two are found in Downey and Norwalk. Very unique offerings, like "Boys in Blue" Horchata, Dodgers "Conchita" and the Door Dash most ordered "Cuerno Fino." One of the first items tried many months ago are the empanadas. Very unique pastry dough. If hunger consumes you and while in the area you may want to opt for the "Mariachi Box." Some of the "pan dulce" have unique fillings. Mariachi bakery is a place you have traditional offerings with a creative edge focusing on community tastes. Notice the beautifully decorated lounge on the right. Ample complimentary parking in front. Great hospitality by Josue. read more

Popped in for a quick drink and ordered their Iced Spanish Latte with condensed milk and cinnamon, and I can say it was the best I've had! Very disappointed with this location, they're customer service has been on a downhill from last year. Slow service, staff seems to just not work together to get orders out in fast fashion. You almost got to beg for them to notice you for them to take your order. Yesterday shocked me the most there was only one young lady taking orders and making them which was very inefficient but besides this fact there was a couple with a dog who sat on the bench against the wall in the dining are who then proceeded to urinate on the very same bench. They walked away tried to somewhat clean it but did not let the workers know about this incident and the workers themselves never cleaned it up. Seems like sanitation is just not up there what a shame. read more

Had a coffee date with the bestie in Whittier, and she suggested Mariachi Bakery. It was pretty decent. I originally planned on having the chorizo breakfast burrito, but the menu stated spicy homemade chorizo, so I was scared! I ended up getting the basic hickory-smoked ham torta. It still hit the spot. We shared a concha because, well, why not? The abuelita cream cold brew was strong like, "I can hear my taste buds yelling" strong. My husband had the Horchata cold brew, and it was so delicious we considered naming our future child after it. Would I return? Yes. Would I order the same torta again? Probably not, but I'd happily grab another cold brew and those empanadas. Bottom line, cute spot, friendly staff, solid bites, and a couple of drinks strong enough to make you text your mom to say you're thinking about her. read more

The pan dulces/conchas/bread in general is very dry. Would not recommend. Your mouth may be quite dry after your first bite.

Great coffee, fresh pastries, and amazing customer service. Mariachi Bakery is a gem!

I can not believe that I have dreamt of their almond croissant.. as in I have visited this place once and since then I have been thinking of their croissant warmed up with a fresh cup of Joe (coffee). I definitely have enjoyed it. They have variety of pastries plus pan dulces (sweet breads). The team so friendly and helpful and also they have parking in front of their cafe. I would definitely come back. My mouth watering as am writing this. They've got plenty of sittings which is a plus. read more

Mariachi Bakery was quite delicious. I enjoyed a churro latte and my husband got a Spanish latte. I was surprised to see other menu options like sandwiches, empanadas and more. They have a large space for large groups or simply going there solo to get some work done, study, or simply enjoy a delicious coffee. The staff were nice and friendly and greeted everyone as soon as you stepped in. The wait was not long at all and everyone was leaving happy. read more

I actually really love and enjoy this bakery. I had a few of their offerings like their empanadas and breakfast burritos. Theyre a little small but delicious nonetheless! Love their limited time conchas!!! Coffee is ok, not my favorite but I definitely think of this place when I want some good carbs. Staff is nice. Cute little bakery. Nothing to complain about!! read more

My bf and I live 2 minutes away and always drive on this street. We just noticed this place last night and made a u-turn lol The sign is beautiful. It's attractive. I was super excited to check this place out! There is a seating area that is beautifully set up with beautiful writing on the walls. We walked in and I said "Hello!" (I was excited that we found this potential new place for us). The girl greeted us but it was with a bored tone. Sounded like she didn't want to be there. Immediately the experience was no longer exciting. Honestly I would have walked out but we ordered because my bf had never been to a Mexican bakery type place. He loves breads/desserts! He dont care how much he spends on pastries lol I was hoping to love this place! It's unfortunate when people behind the counter dont match the happy/excited energy of a new client. One thing that can immediately ruin an experience is a bad attitude. We can get past food items not being great or the drinks not being the best but the way a person behind the counter makes you feel, will determine if a client will return. The reason for my 2 stars is because of the attitude from the person there. read more

Local treats for that lazy morning. Wifey had been craving some good Mexican sweetbread. Last place she visited produced some very bad stuff. So we really hoped Mariachi would be better. Good news it was ! Bread was soft the toppings tasty and crumbly. The coffee was superb. Service was friendly and accommodating. They do have ample selection to choose from. Parking is a bit challenging right off the street but you pretty much have to drive on the sidewalk. read more

No podemos esperar para regresar. read more

I've been wanting to stop by and I'm so glad I finally did! The staff were so friendly!!! There was a large seating area which is nice, I always enjoy finding a new spot to grab a coffee and sit for a bit. There were plenty of pastries available when I went around 10am on a Monday. I got the cheese taquitos for my kids which they loved. The jalapeño cheese croissant was buttery and flaky deliciousness - I wish it had a little more jalapeño I love a good kick. The horchata latte was fabulous - I got it with an extra shot since I like a strong coffee flavor. My FAVORITE thing I got was the chorizo and papa empanada! It was good by itself but once you put that salsa and pickled onion - GAME CHANGER!! I'll be going back again for another one of those ASAP! read more

I did a pick up to-go, ordering and service was quick and the store was quiet when I went in. I really like horchata, so i enjoyed the horchata/matcha combo- you can definitely taste the horchata in there. Both the tres leches were moist, but the cookie butter was the favorite for flavor. There was plenty extra of the milk mixture for every bite. Parking- small lot in front of store front read more

Absolutely love Mariachi Bakery! Their conchas and cafe de olla are delicious and definitely my go-to order. I'm so glad to have a location close to home. However, the lids on the hot cups need to be changed. The past few times I've purchased a hot coffee here, the lid never fails to pop off and spill quite a bit. The employees are kind about giving me a new cup or a cup holder if needed, but the fact that my cup almost always opens just by holding it is kind of annoying. read more

I've been hearing about this new spot and decided to drop in since I love supporting local businesses. The bakery is esthetically pleasant with beautiful wall art and murals. The spot was busting with a great vibe. The staff was exceptional, polite, attentive, and extremely friendly. We ordered some baked goods, drinks, and desserts. Everything we tried was just delicious and perfectly prepared including their drinks. We are now fans and will be back! read more

Whittier area, being my hometown. I'm sad to see Cilantro's go but am always happy to try a new spot for good grub! I saw MARIACHI BARKERY's listing on Yelp & wanted to try! MARIACHI BAKERY has locations in Norwalk, Downey, & NOW WHITTIER! Sounds like they are doing things right & considering this growth - KUDOS! Upon arriving I noticed the space has been updated & looked great! The space offered great natural & over head lighting. Pastry display case was neat looking & well stocked! The place looked & felt squeaky clean, again KUDOS! Team members were super friendly & made great menu suggestions. There was no problem with my requests to explain what items were & the member even provided personal testimony on what items & pairings they preferred. This is always appreciated - KUDOS! MY ORDER: * [1] Mariachi Box [$13] / included: - BURRITO DE HUEVO CON CHORIZO Housemade spicy pork marinated sausage with scrambled eggs. comments: The burrito was overall good. It was pretty simple & a bit small in size. Filling was egg & chorizo only. Flavors were good but I wish there were additional ingredients or the option to add pico, avocado, potato, or beans. Understandably for an up-charge. - EMPANADAS DE BEEF PICADILLO Crafted with a soft buttery puff pastry and filled with a savory filling & melted Monterey Jack cheese. comments: This empanada was delicious & was about the size of Texas! It was larger than the burrito in the Mariachi Box [not sure if there is a size difference when ordering the burrito a-la-carte]. The Beef Picadillo filling was a great choice. It was well seasoned & complimented the flaky crust for a 'melt in your mouth' moment. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Salsa & pickled onion served on the side. comments: Salsa had a good flavor a decent kick to it. I appreciated the added pickled onions to add freshness to each bite but wished there was a little most seasonings used to balance out the brine. * [1] ELOTES PAN DULCE comments: Perfectly sweet & crusty. Best dipped in coffee! * [1] [NEW] CHURRO CUPCAKE comments: This is going to be a popular one, I can already tell. The flavor & moist texture of this cupcake were to die for & is a MUST TRY! * [1] LECHERA LATTE [w/ special request] STRAWBERRY COLD FOAM comments: I always like to make simple tweaks to my order to make it's just right! The team member assisting me had no problem making this adjustment & was interested in trying the combination as well after she heard my request. The Lechera Latte sounded so good but as I was glancing over the menu, I noticed they had a drink with strawberry cold foam. I wanted it & requested to add it! I did ask for a little less sweetener to moderate the overall sweetness & I'm glad I did! Try this combination if you make a trip in! Thank you so much to MARIACHI BAKERY for an overall great breakfast/coffee experience! Wishing you guys much success at this location as well as your others! *CHEERS* read more

Great customer service. The workers make you feel right at home. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I got a few pieces of bread, which were very soft and fresh. Cafe de olla is the worst I've ever tried. I was looking forward to it but man what a disappointment. The churro croissant must be from the day before left over. NOT FRESH AT ALL! The breads are cute, small and delicious.... A bit pricey from your regular Mexican panaderia Between $1.25 and $4 (depending on what you get ) Overall the few pieces I ordered were yummy.
