Quaint cafe - indoor and outdoor seating- street parking. Service was inattentive- coffee was bitter- asked for fresh brew and it was better- had to flag server down for warm up. Portions were generous- good was ok- disappointed with blueberry muffin. Prices average.

Came this morning with my friends for breakfast after a work out. I love it here and come often! The food is always good and the place is so cute. Our server was kind and made sure we got everything we needed, and my friend forgot his hat, the lady was kind enough to run out and follow us down the street to give it back! How generous. It was busy so when we first got there the hostess came across as a little annoyed with the fact we were there, but the other girl was so sweet and greeted us and was very welcoming. I totally understand getting flustered when it's busy! We will definitely be back because we love it here!

Honestly the food was nothing special. It was just your less than average breakfast food. I don't think they know what seasonings are as there were none in our food. There was a wait to sit down, which after eating the food kind of shocked me and the service was extremely slow. Our server who was a woman hardly came to check on us but there was a gentlemen who was servicing other tables who would step in for her every now and again and he was lovely. Unfortunately I didn't catch either of their names. I also don't know if this establishment knows what tres leches is but the tres leches pancakes were indeed not tres leches pancakes. It was just dulce de leche topped pancakes which isn't even in tres leches anything. Tres leches is sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and typically whole milk. The breakfast burrito was probably the best part and that's not really saying much. Safe to say I won't be back.

Visited this amazing cafe on Sunday morning for a good friend's retirement brunch snd celebration. The vibe here is, "American Pickers". Fun, nostalgic and peaceful. The service and food were EXCELLENT!! The breakfasts my family and I had were well-prepared, fresh and delicious. The restaurant was crowded which is a sign of a popular dining destination.

Stayed at the Doubletree in Whittier since I was here to visit our daughters before a road trip A friend of mine lives in Whittier and his wife had always mentioned wanting to go to this place. We drove by parked and we're seated in what I believe to be the best seat on the property. Outside overlooking the street. Service was quick friendly. The menu is brought enough to make everyone happy. We both ordered the chicken and waffles, which were amazing. Chicken was cooked perfectly not too much breading. The waffles were good with a special butter on it. Also ordered cappuccinos which are made perfectly. We will be back.

Cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating. Mark was amazingly friendly and attentive. We loved everything we ordered. The portions were good size with fresh ingredients. Free street parking or the parking structures nearby.

Dirty bird sandwich and Tres leches French toast is a must try they are delicious and can't forget the strawberry lemonade

Not what it used to be to be! The new owners hanged the menu and now it sucks. They don't have the tres le he's French toast, now they have a concha. Wish the menu wouldn't have changed

Cute restaurant in uptown Whittier with eclectic decor. Staff is super and service was great. Strawberry banana waffle was flavorful with fresh strawberries and sliced banana. Two egg breakfast did not skimp on potatoes and eggs were perfectly cooked. Such a hidden gem.. not to be missed

First time coming here. Only came for coffee and pastries. We came as soon as it opened and we were able to get a table right away. But it definitely gets busy. It's a small cozy spot but delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Cute little spot! It has a cottage house feel to it and is a nice spot to check out in Uptown. Very accommodating staff, it was busy but we were seated within 20 mins& no reservation! I ordered the Iced Chai Latte that I was very pleased with, and the Santa Fe Skillet (without the dairy products it usually comes with). The portion size was perfect and it satisfied my appetite. I got to try out the Chicken & Waffles- can't go wrong with this! It comes with a Cinnamon Butter that pairs very nicely. Overall a simple but charming neighborhood find, and has a nice view of Uptown that is lovely to enjoy on a breakfast/ day out!

Came to dine on a Friday afternoon around 11:30am, which is a great time to go as it's not as busy. While sitting and waiting for my party to arrive, I met the owner who was sitting right next to me talking to other guests. She shared with me the beautiful story behind the name and the concept of her restaurant. She named it aunties inspired by her own nieces and nephews because she welcomes every guest dining like a niece and nephew. The concept and ambience she strives for is both welcoming and that comfort of home feeling that you get when you visit your aunties house. After hearing the back story of how the owner wanted this restaurant to represent a sense of community with all its personal touches, details, and incredible food I now have a new found appreciation for this restaurant. If there's a wait, I will be patient because I'm supporting a business owner who is truly passionate about her restaurant. My favorite area to sit in is the side where my favorite server Mark is. He is honestly the best and sweetest. Always attentive and checking in. Makes great recommendations when you are indecisive. The rest of the staff is also amazing from the host, baristas, cooks, and busser. The service overall is incredible. Iced lattes here are amazing. Highly recommend the butterscotch flavor which has a bit of caramel, vanilla, and hazelnut. Simply delicious and not overly sweet. Definitely recommend the raspberry cheese danish. It's buttery, flaky, and soft in all the right places with a delicious filling of raspberry and cheese that compliments in all the right ways. Definitely reminds me of the Svenhard's berry horn danishes. Soo good! Of course, I had to order the chicken and waffles because it's my personal favorite. The fried chicken is soo good and the waffle stays perfectly fluffy even as leftovers. Overall, such an amazing dining experience and I look forward to my next visit!

Too many choices. The food was underwhelming. It is unfortunate. I wanted it to be good as it was for a special occasion. The portions are small and again they focus on presentation and pretty dishes. I would have preferred a smaller menu. I would have liked to have a more flavorful meal. I had pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Bacon was not a good quality, super thin. Pancakes were less than average. They could have come out of a box. Eggs moist. My husband had chilaquiles and they were not appetizing at all. Small portion. Salsa was in a tiny plastic container and could have come out a jar. Coffee was good . This recommendation for the owners is to make it better so that it can be here for years to come. Simplify your menu. Review each recipe for flavor and portions. Maybe make a weekend brunch menu special and make it delicious. Try better quality ingredients. Spend less on presentation and ambiance. Make it taste better and people will come back again. Best of luck in the future.

There is more outdoor seating on the covered patio than indoor seating. Both seating areas are nice. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant.
