Steak n Stein never disappoints. The service is consistently phenomenal. Candace always goes above and beyond to make every visit special. She has great suggestions, incredibly friendly, and is always happy to answer any questions. She makes the experience better. The food is amazing. The salads are always fresh, and dressings are delicious. My personality favorite is mixing a little French dressing with their blue cheese. Their baked potatoes are an absolute must! They're huge and perfectly cooked, especially loaded up with butter, cheese, sour cream and chives. Don't skip the onion rings! They are always cooked to perfection and another favorite of mine. You truly can't go wrong here. A huge Thank you to Candace and Matt, for always taking good care of us. There is plenty of parking in the back. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We'll definitely come back!

First impressions- lots of ambience, but definitely a place that locals know and frequent. Darker dining and bar areas, with lighting that adds to the experience. Service is with waitstaff all with ties and suits, friendly and knowledgeable about their menu options. The food is very old school-flavorful and plentiful. If you are watching diet, portions or other restrictions, give it up. Fantastic way to enjoy a meal

Got together with some friends and and started off in the bar. The bar area is a bit tight and narrow, but there are plenty of seats. Made our way to the dining room near the old fire pit in the center of the floor. Most of us ordered the prefix filet meal. One defector ordered the salmon. The filet was a generous 10oz cut and this comes with their cheese bread, onion rings, baked potato, salad, and dessert (choice of key lime pie or the chocolate mousse cake). I ordered my rare and it came out perfect between rare and medium rare. The salad was delicious and u get three choices of dressing (blue cheese, thousand island and Russian). The baked potato was huge, took half home along with half my steak. The key lime pie pie was ok, (I prefer watergrill's key lime pie) I did try the chocolate mousse cake and should have chosen that one. The onion rings were lightly battered and tasty. Service moved a bit slow, as the place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. One minor disappointment that we had was bringing in three bottles of wine and told the corkage fee was $15.95 per bottle. We received the bill and our server charged us $19.95 a bottle. She said she made a mistake. Hmmm. Other than that, everything was good.

My friends and I came here for lunch. We ordered from their Dine LA menu. I had the corn soup as starter. For the main entree, I had petit filet mignon with baked potato. For dessert, I had the key lime pie tart. Cheese breads come with the meal. It was delicious. They are very generous with the bread. They would refill the bread basket as often as you'd like. The baked potato is huge. It is served with butter, sour cream, chives and cheese sauce on the side. You can add as much as you like to suit your taste. The petit filet mignon is small, only 5-oz, but it was very tasty. I asked for medium and it was cooked just right. The key lime pie tart and the chocolate mousse cake were both good. I had a taste of both. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit. It is rather dark inside. It gives an old fashion 50's vibe. It would be a good place for a romantic evening. Overall, I enjoyed dining here. Everything I had was delicious.

Never felt so full in my life! Definitely in my top favorite comfort meals. They had this delicious homemade blue cheese dressing (I hate blue cheese) The cheese bread is to die for. I can eat a whole plate of the flaky crab cakes. The baked potato is huge. The steak was a little overcooked but still delicious and don't get me started on the lobster. So flavorful! Ambiance is very romantic and perfect for date night. The service was amazing and attentive. Tysm! I will come back again.

Wow! Long time steak n stein customer. I have not been back in 4 years and it is still AMAZING. The filets were delicious, salads are yummy and delicious bread and dressings. Great service from our waiter Matt who really went above and beyond. The restraunt has a new layout that I'm loving. I will definitely be back to watch a game at the bar and have more spectacular food.

Saturday dinner plans brought my brother and I to Clearman's Steak N Stein. We grew up going to the La Mirada location which shared a similar ambiance. The Pico location was lively with live music and a long waiting list. Luckily seating at the bar opened up and the service was exceptional. Food and drinks were delicious.

I grew up in Pico and this was my first experience at Clearmans. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. I went with my family for my birthday and ordered the steak and lobster. The cheesy bread they bring out is very good. The salad could have a little more like cherry tomatoes or cucumbers it was basically just lettuce and croutons. I like that they bring different salad dressings to the table. The steak and lobster were cooked perfectly and the onion rings were light. The place looks old school. It's like you stepped back into the 60s. The waiter was on point and very friendly.

First time at this location - I normally go to the San Gabriel location. I was pleasantly surprised to see such an ample waiting area and a very pretty, lit-up water fountain in the middle of the restaurant. Their parking lot is pretty big - it was a busy Friday night and had no trouble finding parking. We ordered the bone-in ribeye steak - it was super juicy and perfectly seasoned! If you've been to the San Gabriel location this location is different in that there's no shelled peanuts (they serve them pre-shelled) and you have to ask for them - they don't automatically give them to you. Also, they only serve one portion of salad on a plate - unlike the SG location where they serve the salad family style in a huge salad bowl. Our server was Matt, and he was extremely attentive and polite. I can't say the same thing about the young lady host at the front- she wasn't very helpful or friendly of accommodating - for that I had to knock down one star. I feel like steakhouses are one of those places where you expect to get at least polite, if not excellent service. The service from the hostess was sub-par.

    Cold beer at the bar

$12 for a Bud Light is wild but when you got Shirley behind the bar serving up a nice cold one with the Dodgers on it makes it worth it. The hospitality and conversation she brings really brings the experience together. The dim lighting and good food make for a relaxing evening. Shirley has that personality that could draw you in even if you had dinner in the dining area you want to stop by the bar to grab a quick drink and conversation. Shirley is the type to not only take care of you at the bar when you drink is getting a low but she goes above and beyond to make sure her customers get home safely. Keeping this restaurant in the rotation is easy when you can look forward to great service and food. I'll be back :)

I got excited as we walked in because of how cool the vibe was inside the restaurant! Modern and clean aesthetic ... such a surprise! I had already looked at the menu the night before, so I made some suggestions for our party of four adults and kiddo. Our server brought fresh sourdough rolls with seasoned butter. Solid start. We then ordered the stuffed 'shrooms and proscuitto-arugula pizza as starters. Both were very excellent, and was tell-tale of what we were about to experience with our entrees. Entrees ordered were the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the pappardelle with shortrib (two servings but really enough food for at least four ppl!) and the chicken Parmesan salad. Everything was impressive, especially the pappardelle dish. With the beurre blanc and creamy Alfredo sauce with two huge pieces of short rib that were fork tender, it was the star of the evening. This dish is made table-side to ensure that it's eaten immediately. The portions were enough for four ppl, and the sauce is just absolutely decadent. Service was attentive and prompt. Our server was lovely! She shared her favorites with us, and we followed suit by ordering her favorite desserts too! The bread pudding was amazing, but the carrot cake, being a new recipe, was just a bit too sweet for our palates. Plenty of parking as it is onsite. Loved that!

Desert: Tiramisu 4/5 - great flavor, ratio of cream was too much compared to cake portion Canolli 4/5 - duo flavors were nice and had a good shell with crunch Crème brûlée 2/5 - pistachio flavor was light and it's was almost too warm and liquidy. Cocktails overall some major hits and other misses. Sgroppino 5/5 - strong but with a great flavor profile Dragon fruit cocktail 2/5 - too light tasting, not much flavor or alcohol? We then shared the Seafood Ceviche, which featured fresh fish, mango salsa, avocado, micro cilantro, leche de tigre, and macha sauce. It was definitely on the spicy side, so if you're sensitive to heat, I would recommend asking for the macha sauce to be removed or served on the side. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and well balanced, with the avocado adding a nice creamy contrast to the spice. The presentation of the ceviche was especially well done and made the dish even more enjoyable. I paired my meal with a glass of Strev Moscato, while my husband enjoyed a 22 oz bottle of Asahi. The atmosphere was welcoming and made for a nice anniversary dinner. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the overall vibe was perfect for a date night.
