Blackened Salmon hold the blackened

Had a great early dinner at Geezers 's again. The service was great and friendly and then also reminded me to wait a little bit order because happy hour starting soon In our little Santa Fe Springs neighborhood geezers is a bright spot! We don't have a lot of typical restaurants here. In away is kind of cool

More like 4.5 stars but still would make this place a go-to for large parties in the area. The portions of food are amazing and the taste was definitely there. Service was attentive if not the friendliest, but we did have to wait quite a bit to be seated even though there were many open tables. Large parking lot. Extensive menu, can't wait to try other things. Lots of TVs playing Dodgers at the bar. Overall, very satisfied.

Fabulous nachos but no guacamole on them.

Picked up some nachos to go on a Friday evening. Place was very busy and loud , restaurant was too warm. Girl that brought my stuff was very sweet, the older gentleman with grey hair was rude to his employee. Turn up the air, be kinder to your staff and put guacamole on the nachos.

Had a Monday off from work and met up with a friend for Happy Hour. It was my first visit to Geezers and from the outside it looked like a normal, spacious establishment. Once you stepped inside, you are greeted by a vast courtyard of white stone, granite and a wood bar top. The ambiance was classy, yet casual with many patrons escaping the busy work day for a cold brew and bite of food. Our waiter beyond friendly and helpful. I saw o social media that they promote some of the coldest beer in town at 29 degrees and being the peak of summer, the beer was COLD and refreshing. We ordered mozzarella sticks that were fresh and hot but forgettable. Not much flavor but the freshness carried this well with a cold beer. My friend and I split a Buffalo Chicken Pizza on their infamous garlic sourdough. The pizza was delicious. Overall a solid experience at Geezers. No doubt will I be back for the pizza and cold beer.

Grilled Chicken Pesto Prima Vera

Received this after seeing it look completely different on yelp and their website. I asked if I could just get it taken off the bill since they were closing and the waitress said I will need to ask a manager. A manager never came to the table she just came back and took the food and gave us our bill without saying anything. She then returned again just to tell me to show her the pictures I saw so I did. She told me I ordered it wrong and if I wanted that then I should order it correctly next time (the picture was titled as exactly what i ordered). She said I should have ordered it with cream but that wasn't an option on the menu or the website and cream or not I have never seen pesto look like this. Whole family agreed we will not be returning this is the 3rd visit in a row where we have faced issues.

I've been going to geezer's for years and I have yet to have a bad experience. I went again last night and the food and appetizers were great. Our waiter was also very attentive and we were seated fairly quickly for a large party.

So I'm 26 planning/ paying for a whole service/ reception after/cremation, finding a plot, etc. I'm very stressed & emotional. At 1st I didn't show up to my appointment because I was having a bad day and didn't have the strength to walk in. Plus I looking back i over reacted on a stupid comment made earlier that day, I even cried over the phone like a big baby and ended up venting about life. But Cindy and Jose were actually really understanding and had no issues scheduling me for another day and time This restaurant was the only thing stress free for me that day. I'm at beyond blessed for it. Cindy helped me so much that day with putting together the centerpieces. Making sure food/drinks was served smoothly She also saw me escape from the crowd and sneak off to the patio and she let me relax there in peace. With no one bugging me I'm am beyond grateful and appreciate her so much because prior to that I haven't had a moment to myself. it felt nice to actually breathe and have a restaurant/ venue with a beyond great staff care about their customers. would 100% recommend this place to eat or throw any event. Before the funeral, they even let me go in a day in advance to test out the TV and make sure the slideshow went smooth plus the table cloths with mixers of pink napkins were beautiful displayed and the multicolor lighting in the brewery room made everything pop out.

Menu was varied and interesting with some specialties, sandwiches, and salmon. Prices were fair for these times. I had the strawberry goat cheese salad and the baked dinner rolls with sweet butter. Enjoyed it all. My husband had the burger with fries. He said both were very good. I'd like to try the bacon crusted salmon or the gnocchi next time. We did not have dessert. Service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. This is a tiny gem in Uptown. They've been open about a year. I hope people will discover and enjoy it like we did. I think a small candle on each table would add an inviting element to go along with the pretty fresh flower centerpieces. This place can also comfortable accommodate groups.

But I've learned that if I order my steaks rare or even blue rare at a place not known for their steaks, it comes out to the desired medium rare I wanted all along. Such was the case tonight. I asked for rare but it came out closer to medium rare--maybe even dipping into medium. No big whoop. The baseball steak was still juicy and delicious. The fries were still great shoestring. And I can live with a chimichurri sauce instead of the preferable hollandaise or bearnaise these usually come with. I just wish I could actually ask for a medium rare and get medium at a food joint other than where it costs me $60 or $70 a cut. The service was good. She was pleasant and quick on her feet. The ambience was good. It was a quaint space and had a lot of charm. I can't say it was too full but I attribute that more to the day being full of sporting events like the World Cup and some silly NBA thing than an actually critique of the restaurant. Subsequently, I found this a good place for dinner but not superb and I found myself wondering when the next like fate might bring me here.

I was stuck on what to order, the waitress recommended some stuff. Went with the chile Colorado, I was intimidated by the amount of sauced served but it was great! The meat was so good and tender. Meh, after my second time going, probably not going back…read more Ambiance was nice. Drink options are limited. It is personally weird to me that a restaurant that has its own brewery doesn't brew their own stouts or pilsners. In terms of spirits, they only have tequila, so you can only get tequila-based cocktails. At that point I was asking myself, "why have a liquor license and only have one kind of liquor?!" Service was pretty slow. Went on a Friday night and they were packed, so that makes sense. But even when the room started to clear, service was still slow. Only thing that was fast was when they came to pick up the bill payment. But I'm willing to believe they were understaffed band I came in at rush. Food was okay. They don't really have any light options aside from salad, and they have very few chicken options, and I think they only cut they have is chicken thigh. Their concha bread pudding had a really stiff texture, and the ice cream scoop on top tasted and felt freezer burned (but I accept this could be an intentional reinterpretation). Was a nice experience, but the food, drinks, and service were lacking.

When we arrived, the hostess notified us that they were accepting walk ups and reservations didn't matter. We waited over an hour to be seated. Initially, they sat us separately at two booths. This is unacceptable on Mother's Day when we were trying to celebrate our Grandmother. Thankfully, our waiter was able to clear a spot on the patio. Following being seated, the waiter did not come. I got up and asked if they could come to our table because we have two diabetic family members. The host I spoke with said he would send someone, but there was some attitude. Our waiter came and was kind, but the whole experience has been awful. We waited over an hour and twenty five minutes after being seated for our food to arrive, and they didn't bring it all out at once. My pancakes ended up having a hair in them and had to be sent back. We have since asked for a manager to come to the table 2x, and they have not come. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It has ruined our last Mother's Day with our grandmother before she moves away later this year. Over two hours wasted total waiting to be seated and for our food to arrive.
