Double Hamburger w/ Jalapeños
Peter C.

Did not live up to the hype! My patties were not seasoned at all, which was likely just user error. Even if the patties were perfectly seasoned, it's just a mid burger that wasn't really smashed. I was expecting more crispy edges, and my wife and in laws burgers were the same. On the plus side, the regular and sweet potato fries were both good and had a good crunch.

For the win--literally! After a few hours of shopping, my daughter, granddaughter, and I decided to grab dinner at For the Win. We were all craving burgers, and nothing hits like a fresh smash burger. I ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and all the toppings, plus a side of sweet potato fries and a cold brisk tea. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was super clean and had a festive vibe with Christmas music playing, which we loved. The staff were very welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. We'll definitely be back to this location.

After hearing video after video of the best smash burger in LA- we finally tried this place! It's very small- kinda tucked into a small parking lot. The prices? HIGH. I'm talking $14 burger - no fries. $8.50 loaded fries. No soft drinks, only canned soda. Quite a hefty price for what it is. The burger was good- the special sauce has a little kick but nothing too much and I'm sensitive to spice. It just wasn't good ENOUGH to warrant this kind of price. Definitely think it's been overhyped. Service was good, the girl was nice. Resturant seemed clean. However- I find a better value at Chris n' Eddys I don't think I'll be back unfortunately

Craving for burger and want to try something else from my usual burger spot. I don't really like their shared parking lot. It's smaller than ordinary ones, it's made for compact cars. Friendly cashier explained and took my ordered. I got double cheeseburger and fries. It didn't make me full without any veggies. Also should have gotten triple patties but it was a bit pricey. Overall it was a good tasting burger.

It never fails when I go to LA. I have trouble finding a good place to eat. The place we were going to didn't work out, and we came across For the Win. It was just an average smash burger with delicious sweet potato fries. Customer Service was great. Can't say I would return

Location is on the smaller side. But they make great use of it. Nice, clean and well maintained. My husband and I had cheeseburgers I had a side of loaded fries and my husband had the brussels sprouts. Cheeseburger was good, but going forward I would do the sauce on the side. It was just too much for me, but I would love to have it just to dip my cheeseburger as I wish. The load fries were yummy! The brussels sprouts were delicious! The staff was kind and very polite.

Food ordering is done completely on a tablet, easy to order or change language if needed. With clear pricing and modifications to your food. There is no meat wellness modification since it's a fast food smash burger style if that's your concern. Food for two - double cheese burger and order of sweet potato fries. DEFINITELY order an extra patty since they're extremely thin patties for smash burger standards. Food took 15 minutes to be ready. Only one party ordered before us but there were lots of to-go orders. Total came out to $34. Venue was nice with ample seating and one gender neutral bathroom. A quick eats joint but restaurant prices. Food was tasty but value wasn't there. It's incredibly expensive for how satisfying/filling the meal was. Unfortunately it didn't satisfy our burger craving and we will need to compensate with the "two palm trees burger place". If you're going to do a quick service style meal/dining experience the value needs to match. We can't be paying $34 and still both be hungry.

I ordered from here again because they are delicious here. This is the first place I tried a smash burger and I love the crisp they have to every bite. There usually is a line out the door because of the hype they have behind their burgers. They do handle the pack to their punch for their burgers. They are savorying and delectable in every bite. Love this place.

Our burgers! We all enjoyed our food and sweet potato fries, French fries and grilled brussels sprouts!

Delicious burgers and Brussel sprouts! We as a family love grilled brussels sprouts! My grandson is going back to college and wanted to eat here, I loved the burgers!

Double Smashburger and Fries.

The Food- Smashburger with Fries- Very good and I would get both of them again. The only thing that kept me from getting to 5 stars was that I thought the price was a little of the high side considering that is more a a fast food type of setting. Parking- Shares a medium size lot with a few other businesses. I could see that parking could be challenging at busy times. Service- Friendly.

Was excited to give them a second chance! For the win!!! But was disappointed again! The brussels sprouts were burnt! Not able to eat them The staff were friendly - and the strawberry shake was good!

Double patty, added lettuce and tomato. Best cheeseburger in town.

The best cheeseburger I've had in Los Angeles so far. Still a few other places to try before I crown a winner, but For The Win makes an extremely delicious cheeseburger. I like to add lettuce and tomatoes, with a double patty.

What a smash! Great tasting burger with a lot of flavor, which is sometimes hard to find with a smash. The fries are excellent. Cozy spot to stop and have a great burger. The staff are super nice as well.

How does this compare to the habit double char burger?

I'm a professional food critic for numerous magazines and websites. I find that the absolute difference is the quality, value, size of their burger is a hands down winner. I would definitely recommend The Habit over the Win. The food is always fresh…

We were genuinely excited to find a BBQ spot we enjoyed, and for a while, we were happy customers. Unfortunately, over time, our experience became increasingly disappointing, particularly when it came to the size and consistency of the ribs. The first couple of times we ordered, the ribs looked like a standard, reasonable portion. But on our later visits, we noticed that the ribs appeared noticeably smaller. It wasn't just a one-time observation; after seeing the difference several times, we decided to call and ask about it. We weren't looking for anything unreasonable, we simply wanted an explanation and some consistency in what we were paying for. We were told, "Sorry, we'll have our manager get back to you." We appreciated that someone would supposedly follow up, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. It has now been a couple of months, and we have never received a call, email, or any kind of follow-up. That part is honestly just as disappointing as the portion issue. Bludso's prices are high, and when you're paying premium prices for BBQ, you expect the quality and portions to be consistent. We understand that food costs, labor, and operating a restaurant are expensive, we're not expecting bargain prices. But when a restaurant charges what Bludso's charges, customers have every right to expect that the portions will be consistent and that legitimate concerns will be taken seriously. In a time when the cost of everything continues to rise and people have to think carefully about where they spend their money, spending more at a restaurant should come with the expectation of getting a quality experience. If we're willing to pay higher prices, we expect the food and customer service to reflect that. What really sealed the deal for us was that we actually tried to address the issue directly. We didn't immediately leave a negative review or complain online. We called the restaurant, explained our concern, and gave them an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, the fact that nobody ever bothered to follow up after promising that a manager would contact us left us feeling like our business and feedback simply weren't important. We enjoyed Bludso's when we first discovered it, which makes this even more disappointing. But there are plenty of BBQ options out there, and at these prices, we don't feel there's a reason to continue spending our money somewhere that doesn't provide consistency or follow through with its customers. We tried. We gave them multiple chances. We reached out and gave them an opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, we've moved on. No more Bludso's for us.

For those of you who live in the SFV, you know that good breakfast spots are hard to come by and if you do know any, you've already been there a thousand times. While searching for something new, I stumbled across this spot! My boyfriend and I love old diners like these so we decided to give it a try. I won't lie to you, pulling up and seeing it was at a Galpin dealership kind of threw us off lol But OMG this place was amazing! Right off the bat, the ambiance was so nice, like stepping into a time machine and being back in the 60s. We were greeted so warmly and decided to sit at the bar to get the full experience. Upon looking at the menu, they had more than just breakfast. They had burgers, sandwiches, melts, steaks and more! GET IT AT GALPIN Now, the chefs. Just by looking at them through the pass, I knew I was about to have the greatest food I've ever tasted.. The butter just melted on the french toast paired with the warm syrup on the side... o m g I tried the orange juice and thought "that is freshly squeezed" and look up to find a machine squeezing fresh oranges, amazing. Our server Sesy was so attentive and even gave us a slice of homemade banana cream pie for my boyfriend's birthday! I ended up purchasing a car from Galpin last year, so I've had even more opportunities to stop by Horseless Carriage over the past year, and it's still just as good as I remember. Whether I'm there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is always fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. You can tell there's a real standard for the food here, and I think it's far above what you normally expect from a restaurant connected to a dealership. Geovanni is also fantastic, especially when it comes to restaurant standards and catering. He's incredibly detailed and makes sure everything is taken care of, and his staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy being there, and you can tell. I also love that whenever I'm here, I see so many familiar faces. There are clearly a ton of regulars, and the restaurant is busy all the time. To me, that says a lot more than anything else could. People keep coming back because of the relationships they've built with the staff and the consistency of the experience. After coming here for more than 20 years, I can honestly say the quality is still there. You can tell the family takes a lot of pride in this restaurant, and it shows. It's one of those places where you know you're going to get a good meal every time, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Cheers to consistency!

I ordered off Uber Eats and the food is very PRICEY!…read more However... Beef ribs: 10/10 SO damn good. Definitely the star of the entire order. Chili beans: 10/10 Also really good. No complaints! Baked beans: Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up baked beans. Very standard, traditional baked beans, good. Potato wedges: 8/10 Also kind of hard to mess up potato wedges unless they're undercooked or overcooked. They were seasoned too. So pretty standard tasting Mac & cheese: 3/10 I'm from the South, so there's just a certain baseline I reference when it comes to mac & cheese, and unfortunately this wasn't it for me. I would never order the mac again. Cornbread: 10/10 Southern girl approved!!! Collard greens: 4/10 Not a slither of seasoning but I got them together myself. Fish: The fish is actually why I ordered in the first place because I was craving some fried catfish. On Uber Eats, it just said "fish of the day," and I assumed it was catfish. It was, in fact, NOT catfish. I'm not sure what type of fish it was, but it tasted more prepackaged like something you would get out of the frozen section at the grocery store vs. freshly prepared, so I was a little bummed about that. It didn't taste bad, but I probably wouldn't order it again. I was also extremely disappointed by the portion sizes of the sides. They are VERY small, especially considering the prices. I would definitely keep that in mind before ordering extra or individual sides. I still gave them 5 stars because those ribs were so damn good that they made up for everything else. I'd absolutely order the ribs again!

Big Pops is accommodating to dine in and take out but I will say it can get quite warm in there as you are eating which for me it was they do however have two tower fans for the guests when it gets hot but it was just me in there and so it was off but still I run hot and I was starting to warm up while eating. With that being said I think the service for what is worth wasn't too bad. This place is nice and decorated and very quiet other than the radio playing in the back ground for the cooks. There are a few tables inside that can seat about maybe 10-12 max and they do have a drink fridge for you to choose what drinks to get. The person helping me out was very quiet didn't ask me if it was my first time or anything like that maybe just the hello and such but he was polite but just not welcoming I suppose. Since it was my first time I didn't know what to get and I think it's my fault for sure for not asking more and engaging on what I should get because I only asked like one question about the Tri tip plate and stuff but I ended up getting that and I will say it's quite a bit of food but at the same time it can get pricey I paid about & $29 for the plate with tip ended up being $34 in total. It's about what you would expect from a barbecue place. So with the plate or any plate as show on the menu, you do get a small side of fries, a piece of corn bread and a small side. The small sides are about $2.99 for and as shown in my picture they are that small like a tiny ramekin like double or triple the size of what you get from a sample from Costco. So the fries are fries nothing special about them but they were fried well and it had a nice crisp outside when you bite into it and the inside was cooked right. The corn bread was spectacular in my opinion! It was moist and flavorful with every bite! I used it to dip into my Tri tip plate because of the sauce and it was great! The Mac and cheese I will say was ok. Barely any flavor and it honestly reminded me of getting Mac and cheese from the grocery store hot deli like Ralph's and Vons because the consistency and texture of it really felt like it was made the same way and flavor wise as well because there as no flavor now with that being said I will say maybe my tastebuds were already saturated and nuked by the sauce from the Tri tip (which I'll get to a moment) and I couldn't appreciate the Mac and cheese as well or tell if it was salted or peppered or something. But to me it was pretty bland Mac and cheese like I wouldn't pay for it as my side. Now I will say that's the only side I got I didn't buy the others which I regret because maybe those sides were the ones you should be eating like the baked beans or collard greens which is the more essential sides of any barbecue eatery. So definitely the Mac and cheese was a miss for me and next time I'll get the other sides instead. Now the main course which is the Tri tip. I loved the Tri tip it was nice and tender and you get about 10 ounces and in the photo I have it's a lot! But I will say this, there are people who love wet barbecue and dry barbecue I'm a person who loves the dry barbecue as in only into dry rub and stuff I dont mind saucy meat but an over abundance of sauce just ruins it for me and this was the case for my Tri tip. In my photo you can definitely see that it is heavily drenched in their barbecue sauce which by the way is very flavorful no doubt about it! But it was so sweet and so saucy also it wasnt spicy as I had the option to choose from regular or spicy but there was no indication of spiciness at all. Like maybe I'm just used to spicy food but whatever is meant to make that spicy didn't really shine out and that was a big disappointment. I'm not really into sweet foods which most barbecue sauces are sweet or very vinegary based. This is very sweet and very acidic like my mouth was nuked. But the Tri tip itself was amazing! But my plate had too much sauce and it was too sweet and vinegary like I could swim in the sauce is how saucy it was. No matter how I felt about my saucy Tri tips that's how you're supposed to eat it as is because that's how they made it and it would be a disservice to do so differently. With that being said over all the food was great except for the bland Mac and cheese and heavily sweetened barbecue sauce all over my Tri tip other than that it was great.. Again if you're not into eating super saucy barbecue or you're a dry rub type of barbecue eater like me then I would warn you again that it gets saucy here hahaha at least for my plate. I'm still gonna come back because I'd like to try their other stuff and also it's a local business and helping support them and any other local business is great! So for me it's 4 stars out of 5! Thank you again! :)
