Really pricey for a small matcha $7.5 and a vanilla glazed donut $4.5. Was not a fan of the price point but the drink was good -- I poured a generous amount of honey in it and the vanilla donut was sweet but good. Overall if I was in the area maybe but there are alot of options for a quick pick me up and pastry around the street. Inside was dimish and okay.
Best coffee I had during a week in San Francisco--a week that included Equator, Ritual, Saint Franks, Andytown, Home, and a few other places. I had a single origin espresso and a pour over. My friend had a macchiato; everything was great but the pour over (a natural processed coffee whose origin I can't remember) was the standout. Coffee came out quickly, even the pour over, and there was plenty of seating. The place has a relaxed industrial vibe with music playing at a volume where it is still possible to have a conversation or do some reading.
10/10 for coffee in the financial district. Very quaint, not a ton of seating but plenty of room. Very pretty interior. Quick service, but carefully crafted lattes. I love a beautiful latte, and this is IT! I tried the oat milk latte and loved it, would definitely recommend trying it instead of the over-hyped options close by!
I got an espresso. The single origin today was from Bolivia The shot was very well executed - good layers, smooth creamy texture with distinct flavors coming through. I tasted mild citrus/acidity and sweetness balancing chocolate and fruity notes. 5/5 Would definitely come back for espresso or to try a pour over next time.
I got an iced vanilla latte and it was good! It was solid coffee and a good taste. I didn't try any of their pastries this time but they had a few options. The cafe itself is nice, airy and light. It looks like a good place to chat and maybe do some work as they have a few tables. Would come back for the coffee again if I'm in the area!
Stopped in by recommendation from a colleague. The barista are really friendly and very fast. I thoroughly enjoyed my cappuccino.
I love this little coffee shop. I usually order a Vanilla Latte with Oat milk. I hate that they up charge for the Oat milk. It's almost like you're being punished for being lactose intolerant. I usually pay about $7.50 for my coffee. They have some pretty good looking pastries, but I've never had one to really review.
Great coffee. Very happy with their 8oz americano which is my measure of a good coffee spot - and espresso of course. Nice corner spot with indoor and outdoor seating.
In downtown San Francisco, a small coffee drink and doughnut will cost you $10.75. It's all top notch quality for sure, so a nice office breakfast indulgence. Kinda limited menu, but at least what they serve is good. Mocha: Perfectly sweet and creamy, without needing to anything. Loved how it didn't taste like chocolate syrup, but rather had a complex and sophisticated flavor. Not a huge portion like at Starbucks or Dunkin', so savor it slowly. Cold Brew: Pretty intense cold brew. Even with my normal sweetener and half-n-half, it had a lot of personality. Affogato: Ignore the shamers and get an affogato in the morning if you want! It's got the buzzy espresso you need to get the day going, with a refreshing creamy vanilla ice cream. They'll serve it in a ceramic bowl, if you ask, so you can eat it there and avoid judgmental eyes outside watching you have ice cream for breakfast. Chocolate Rose Doughnut: Love a nice chocolate cakey doughnut with a sugar glaze. Allegedly there was rose flavor too, but I barely tasted it. Everything Pull-Apart: Kinda like a croissant meets and everything bagel. Enjoyed the savory buttery dough and all the different flavored spices and seeds.
Small, cozy cafe right next door to the Philz Coffee on Market & Front. Service was quick on a Thursday morning despite the line out the door. I just ordered a latte ($5.50) & it was filled to the brim, super smooth & not acidic. Will def add this to the list of go-to coffee places near the office.

This coffee shop is at a very busy intersection, right by Battery and Market. It's rather accessible for most of the working population who work in-office in the Financial District, and that's what makes it special. While the storefront seems pretty welcoming on the outside, I could say otherwise about the customer service side of things. I was soon met not just with unwelcoming hospitality, but also, utter rudeness while ordering my coffee. I felt rushed, and when I asked about the pastries, all the one person that ordered it was: "this is what we have." I'm asking you to specify the pastries because... I GENUINELY don't know what they are? Like we're not experts at pastries compared to baristas that know their stuff -- let alone some random customer like me who doesn't know the name of EVERY pastry. Eventually, after that, I ordered the croissant and a cortado, and both tasted wonderful. The croissant was flaky and very buttery, and the cortado was a great combination to it as well. Ambiance isn't too bad -- there's small tables, but also, very spacious seating on the window side of the seating where there's a bar and more. I'll be back, but please treat your guests in a more courteous way, please -- it goes a long way. read more

I've been going to Flywheel at Haight & Stanyan for years. Once I saw this location I had to visit. Today is a sunny day and people are put enjoying the sun on the big, public patio outside. read more

Consistently good service here. The baristas are always respectful and friendly, even during busy rush hours. The coffee is great, and the latte art is always some of the nicest. The seating area is also comfortable and makes it a good place to sit and enjoy your drink. read more

Quality espresso drinks! My latte was delicious - smooth, beautiful latte foam art, and a strong rich flavor. Also tried the cappuccino, which has less milk and is a smaller cup size than the latte, if you'd like less milk and a stronger espresso aroma. Service is quick despite the occasional morning lines. Staff is friendly. There are several tables and seats inside if you'd like to sit and enjoy your coffee, or people-watch through the giant windows looking out on Market St. This location is super convenient to stop by after exiting the Montgomery and Embarcadero BART/MUNI stations. In fact, it's dangerously convenient to get to... I'll be back for sure! read more

New location right near Montgomery in FiDi which means another great coffee option on my way to work. My go to order is an iced latte with oat milk and something about their roast is smooth making it one of my favorites in sf. Inside you'll find seating options but I'd say it's more of a to-go spot at least on the weekdays. The menu is pretty small but covers all the coffee basics and they even have chai. Glad to see flywheel out this way. read more

Love flywheel coffee! Came here with some of my coworkers for a quick coffee break and let me tell you - flywheels was busy! Luckily we had no issues with the wait at all as they get your drink out super quickly! I got a cappuccino which is not normally my coffee go to but definitely one of the best I've had in a while! Their cups are also really unique as they use white pencil to add your name which is a cute touch! Will definitely be back in the future for another mid day coffee break! read more
This spot opened up this year and it's been a perfect addition to the area. It brings something different than your usual. The hot chocolate was delicious although it's a unique taste and by far not your typical hot chocolate. The service from staff was friendly. It's always buzzing with people taking a quick break of fresh air. read more

best (iced) latte in FiDi... maybe even in sf(!!) without any syrups/sweeteners. simple, no frills, and STRONG. menu is small and to the point. i usually get flavored lattes, but since they don't offer any here, i get an iced latte -- and boy, it really puts a lot of lattes around here to shame. a lot of times i get what tastes like "milk with a splash of coffee" from other spots. not here!! i have to sip it slowly because the flavor is so robust lol. i've been twice, both during off-ish hours so service was quick even with only 1 barista. i'm in and out in no more than 10 minutes. limited seating indoors but there are tables in a common area outside. read more

Flywheel has the best coffee in downtown SF! The owner's connection to coffee, rooted in his upbringing on a Nicaraguan coffee farm, is evident in the quality of coffee here. I ordered a latte and it was so rich and bold with the perfect creamy texture. So happy I found Flywheel and can't wait to try their pourovers next. read more

Excellent coffee! You can taste the freshness of the beans for sure. Perfectly balanced pick me up in the city. Dangerous but great. Would not recommend driving here as it's real close to the intersection so not really a spot to stop n jump out for a quick coffee. They've got some pastries if you feel like a nibble and a little seating area inside. Fast service. read more
