I've been to other Flame Broiler franchise locations, and this location is the best. The perfect amount of chicken, cooked perfectly, and the quality of the food at this particular location is the best of all Flame Broiler locations. Overall, it makes me wonder if quality control is a problem with Flame Broiler due to the inconsistencies in quality among the different franchise locations. I didn't do a review on the other locations, because it looks like they're barely getting by.

Mark this review down as the 2nd in a pending series (North Shore is the first) of a number of reviews of businesses that i have passed by by car, on foot, skate boarded by for years without darkening their doors and sampling their wares. Flame Broiler is on the same Island (peninsula?) that also houses a relatively new Starbucks: both across from Glendale college. Today I made a decision to check this joint out and to sample their wares. There are several Flame Broilers around town. This one today was practically empty though the early hour was probably one reason and that it is a college holiday is another. The Physical plant has seating for about 50 people but there is a plaza with tables right outside their door which is shared with other businesses. The Menu is pretty simple and you are offered several choices on what the chicken, Beef or Tofu sits. Meaning: you could order grilled firm Tofu (as i did) and decide if you wanted a veg or white or brown rice or even a combo of both. The Tofu that i ordered as the feature of the bowl (there are 2 sizes of bowl plus an big entree size) i wanted no rice and 100% veg which were well cooked and fresh coin carrots, Broccoli chunks and sliced cabbage. You are offered several sauces: teriyaki, hot sauce which tasted like cholula. The size of the portion is big and the Tofu is well seasoned and broiled. One point is i would have liked to have seen the actual Flame Broiler but everything cooking-wise was behind a wall. The also feature Wings in various order permutations as in a single order or for several people. Pricing is high as is everything these days. My bowl is $9.40. My regular soft drink is $2.80. Service was fast and friendly. I will be back. Cheers!

I've always been a fan of Flame Broiler. I feel like I'm eating healthy fast food. Many options to choose from. Want it with or without veggies? Done! White or brown rice? Done! Chicken or beef? Also done. Want the meat or tofu on a bed of salad instead of rice? DONE! You definitely have to try out all three sauces because your meal isn't complete unless you try it. LOVE THIS PLACE even more so because they joined Five stars. Earn points toward rewards!

It's such a great option and always tastes amazing. There's almost always a long line, but the service is impressively fast and efficient every time. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and I really like the bright red-and-white interior -- it has that classic, iconic vibe. Even the restrooms are clean despite how busy it gets, which says a lot. The only downside during this visit was that the air conditioning didn't seem to be working well, so it felt a bit stuffy inside. Also, I think adding some music could really improve the overall atmosphere. Overall, I still love coming here and will definitely be back!

They have a unique flavor that is hard to describe. The pickles are so good and the burger and cheese go so well together. This is one of if not my absolute favorite cheeseburger anywhere. No animal sauce for me. My chocolate shake was pretty good. This is not the beat shake in the world but it goes well with the burger. It is not overly sweet. Oh yeah, the cashier made sure she got my order correct twice which I appreciated. But, oh no...the fries!! Terrible. I remember not liking them in the past. They have no flavor. But this time was worse. The consistency tasted like.they were stale. Like they have been sitting around for days. This is not true since this restaurant is CONSTANTLY busy. There is no time to have fries lay around. Still, I asked for a new order. I figured we got unlucky. Nope. Next order was hot and still tasted stale. No thank you Their menu is very limited. They have like 6 items on the menu and I believe they have kept it the same since they opened in 1948. I still love In n Out but just can't understand why a restaurant has such good burgers and just terrible fries. I have tried them with animal sauce in the past and that did not help. They should really be good on their own. On a final note, I am impressed how they have kept their prices low. Just about anyone can afford to buy a cheeseburger here. They have not increased their prices dramatically, or possibly not at all, like every single one of their competitors. Interesting tidbit..

The restaurant is small but inviting and has plenty of outdoor seating. All the food is cooked to order by the friendly owner, and pretty quickly too. He told us that his burgers were homemade and "not like your normal burger", so we were excited to try. He gave us some samples of falafel with his signature sauce while we waited, which I loved, and next time I'll try a falafel sandwich. But after a period of time that was appropriate for cooking two burgers, we had our food. Upon opening the wrappers to the burgers (which were a mushroom cheeseburger and cheeseburger), we noticed that they were massive. The buns were sturdy yet soft, substantial enough to hold up to the generous fillings yet somehow light. And oh my god the burger meat itself. Typically, burger meat is unseasoned and the main flavor you get is meat. But this burger, the meat itself was deliciously seasoned, almost like the meat you would get on a kebab. And the cheese, too, was not flabby and unremarkable but rather a thick, stretchy, flavorful melt that complemented the fresh toppings perfectly. Refreshing pickles and tomatoes, perfectly tender sautéed mushrooms, and plenty of the signature sauce. I will be back for this burger, and to try his other sandwiches.
