This is a small, family-owned Thai fusion restaurant with seating for about 50, and you can see the cooks and prep team hustling away in the kitchen to feed a full house. There was only one waitress handling the dining room, and she did not miss a beat. She was attentive, efficient, and kept everything moving even as the restaurant quickly filled up. The restaurant is polished and exceptionally clean, with a soft, comfortable ambiance that works equally well for a romantic dinner or a family meal. It was quiet when we first arrived, but before long it transformed into a vibrant, bustling neighborhood spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Gai Wings were flavorful, moist on the inside, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The Lemongrass Soup was bright and slightly herbal with a refreshing hint of lemon. The Pad See-U had that wonderful savory, slightly sweet soy sauce flavor, and the Sautéed Eggplant was soft and silky with a savory, garlicky flavor and just a touch of sweetness. Spice Season is one of our favorite cozy Thai spots! The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is friendly, and the chill music makes it a great place to relax. Highly recommend the Papaya Salad (medium heat is perfect), Gold Rush (chicken potstickers), Fresh Rolls (crunchy jicama, tofu & fresh greens), Suki Dry (rice noodles with shrimp & veggies), and the Sautéed Eggplant with tofu. We came her on a Friday night to take out family for dinner, their was 8 of us, its not a big place, so I made reservations the day before. Very nice decor, very clean, and comfortable. Staff was very nice and friendly. Food was good, got great, I would consider this modern Thai, some of the dishes had extra ingredients that were not as common. They put more vegetables in there dishes, like their Pad thai, and Pad see Ew. They definitely put a lot of proteins in there dishes, packed with chicken and beef depending on what you order. The wings were good, the pineapple fried rice. They have a Thai, Alfredo pasta dish which was different but my family really like it, especially the kids. Nice regular drink and beer and wine, good deal on the drinks. Overall a good experience, i think a little overpriced for the portion size, but still tasty food. Had such a very satisfying meal at Spice Season! We started with the papaya salad, which was incredibly fresh and vibrant, with balance of tangy, sweet, and a little kick of heat. We went with no protein, and it was still incredibly appetizing. The pad thai was spot on, with perfectly cooked noodles that had a great chew coated in a rich, well-balanced sauce that wasn't too heavy and tender slices of chicken that brought everything together. The Gai wings were a highlight, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, served with a sweet vinegar dipping sauce that delivered such perfect sweet-savory balance. To finish, the sticky rice with mango was the perfect ending! Soft, slightly sweet rice paired with ripe, juicy mango that made every bite satisfying. They have a good mix of classic Thai dishes with fusions of their own. Service was also exceptional! Nok seemed to genuinely care and provided great customer service! The papaya salad wasn't quite the flavor I expected, but it's a solid option for vegetarians, just not really for me. Parking can be a bit tricky, though there are paid options nearby. The restroom was very clean, which I always appreciate. One small downside was the service toward closing time -- our server seemed a bit rushed (understandable, since it was the end of the night). What I didn't like was that they don't provide a bill receipt; instead, they hold out their mini payment pod while waiting, which felt a little awkward and didn't give me the chance to double-check the charges. They will charge you first and then you can get your receipt is their thing. $92ish total was our bill excluding tip. Stopped by here after doing some shopping in Glendale and we were welcomed with warm service! The food was AMAZING and tasted so fresh and clean (healthy). We ordered the Gai wings which were not oily or fatty at all. It was served with a vinaigrette that had chopped onions, cilantro and lemon in it. 10/10 would order again. We also ordered the Lime Steak salad, which had noodle like shredded beets and chopped jicama. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly as well. I would highly recommend (and reorder) this dish as well! The green curry lunch box was also a hit! It came with a side salad, rice, bowl of green curry and some dumplings :) The curry was made fresh with zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers and chicken. I'm not sure how they made it, but it was perfect. I love going to Thai restaurants and order green curry pretty often, and this one might be our favorite :D Finally...the mango sticky rice.... No wait at 5 PM on a weeknight. The ambiance was modern and a little more upscale than we were expecting. Service was prompt and friendly. I was intrigued by the satay quesadilla, so we ordered family style and got that plus the seafood soup and turmeric curry. The satay quesadilla was fine, but it didn't work as well as I thought it would. The mix of sweet peanut sauce, satay chicken, mozzarella cheese and veggies didn't end up quite gelling. The seafood soup had a lovely delicate citrus flavor, and was the perfect complement to the more hearty turmeric curry and white rice. The curry was your classic yellow curry, but was well done. My husband and I came here for the first time Friday night. The interior is beautifully decorated, quaint and charming with an overall calming feel. It's super clean but without feeling steril. When we sat down, we noticed a nice woman with her mom who was celebrating her 95th birthday and we sat next to them. They were both very sweet and mentioned the items they got and how good everything was. We basically mirrored their dishes and were not disappointed by our choices. Generally, when you're at a Thai restaurant, you can't go wrong when you take advantage of suggestions given to you by two beautiful Thai people. We started off with an appetizer called "Gold Rush" which are 6 crispy, yet chewy wontons that are cooked until golden and then the dipping sauce was a tangy soy vinaigrette which I initially wished had not been taken away with our plates when we were done but any concern I had was soon forgotten when the other dishes came out because everything was so well seasoned that I never once thought, "I wish I still had some of that dipping sauce". We ordered the Laab Chicken which I always crave because so many Thai restaurants don't serve it. But Spice Season offers it and that might have been my favorite dish. I always order it without the rice powder because I don't like the powdery ground rice. I think it's a distraction from everything else in the dish. Our server didn't blink an eye when I asked that it not be included. Next, we ordered the Pad Thai. It was delicious. The noodles are thinner rice noodles (like angel hair) than what I have typically experienced (more like the size of linguini) but I loved the dish overall, would not change a thing and will definitely order it again. Blazing Basil Beef was the next dish that came out. The beef was super tender that night but it did not heat up well the next day. It got tough, even though I heated it up using a very low microwave power setting. This was in no way a reflection on how they cooked this dish because it was perfect when it came out. I will try the Heaven Scent next time or Spice Season Steak in lieu of Blazing Basil but that is not to say I would never order it again - far from it - but we are excited to try other dishes as I have noted further below. Rounded everything out with the Pineapple Fried Rice which I crave just as much as Laab but I'm usually nervous to try it because so many times the rice doesn't have any flavor, or not enough pineapple juice but not the case here! It was delicious! D'oh! I forgot to mention the Matcha Cheesecake which was heavenly. It took me several days to finish that off and unlike the Blazing Basil, it held up fantastically in the fridge for the next few days which is how long it took me to finish it off. Honestly, everything we tried was incredibly fresh, bursting with different flavors and cooked the way we enjoy our Thai food. We were not rushed, and the person who took our order said that we had ordered plenty of food which I appreciated - we do tend to over-order but that's because we eat the leftovers but I thought it was nice that she gave me the "that's probably enough" sign. Last thing I will mention just to help others on the spicy scale, we love our Thai food spicy. I read some reviews where people said the food was not spicy enough. We told our server that we like spicy and that we would leave it up to her - she said that everything would be a 4 out of 5 on the spice scale and while it was perfect for me, my husband thought it was just a tad too spicy but I think he's just out of practice. ;) We will probably go with 3 out of 5 next time, unless I'm alone. Then I would go back to 4 on the spice scale! I'm excited to try the Papaya Salad, Lime Steak Salad, Tom-Yum Fried Rice, Heaven Scent, and Lemongrass Soup. This place is super delicious! its extremely local to where i live--basically just down the block. so when Im craving thai food I order pickup from here. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and small, very clean and I would love to dine in one day. They have really good coconut soup--very flavorful but since I do takeout I do like to add a bit of water to it as sometimes it can be a little bit toooo flavorful but I think thats just another pro for me since we end up with more soup haha. Not bad. Went for lunch on Saturday and found out the lunch specials are M-F. So I went with the Turmeric Curry which is their version of Yellow Curry. That's a dish I get at every Thai restaurant I go to and it was pretty good. I liked that they added cauliflower along with the normal potatoes, carrots and onions. If I were able to tender a ZERO star review I would. I have made two (2) visits to Spice Season, Glendale over the past 3 days. Once was a mostly pleasant dine in with Tanya. The second was a take- away which I placed the order for again with Tanya and using my mobile number to place the order - this occasion occurred on 02_04_2026. I went to pick up the take away with my Hungarian Vizsla and there was no issue with Service. I had a VERY poor experience with Spice Kitchen Glendale over one year ago. The Pad Thai was not up to spec or the requested proteins for this particular order over one year ago. I had vaguely recalled the poor food service that experience - primarily the service experience in my attempts to bring the pad Thai order to align with the final product received. I had forgotten about the poor product and very nasty encounter with the manager/owner PANIDA- and we simply never went back. However, apparently , Manager/Owner PANIDA remembered this occasion like it occurred yesterday?! Today, 02_05_2026 ; just as I did yesterday; 02_04_2026, I rang to place an order for pick up. Just as I did on 02_04_2026; I used my mobile number and today Tanya was not working. But guess who was - PANIDA. She immediately told me she could not take my order because my mobile number was blocked. I requested that PANIDA contact Tanya as she brought our meal to us as we were outdoors with our Hungarian Vizsla. Over the course of the dialogue owner PANIDA recalled that I had complained over a year ago about the lack luster pad Thai and apparently blocked me. In other words don't ever suggest a dish can be improved at Thai Spice GDL because PANIDA refuses to take ANY constructive critical OR improve the quality of dishes. I inquired why the discrepancy in using my mobile number with no issue on 02_04 and today I was informed that o had been blocked. PANIDA had no response. Further - we never complain about pricing when meals and of course service meet or exceed expectation but this Thai multi unit concept is laughable. They charge for incremental requests such as hot sauce et al. I would stay clear. If you want excellent Thai Food with family friendly service - the hallmark of food service and hospitality AVOID spice season glendale and head over to Min's Thai Kitchen in La Canada where the pad Thai and Sizzling Beef are exquisite and your order will be at least half the price of spice season glendale. What kind of name is spice season anyway?! Doesn't tell you the origin of the concept ( Thai or just a bunch of spice and in what season)? A bit shocked that this " concept" is a multi unit- bizarre. Per PANIDA' S inaccurate reply to my factual and honest review. This is my follow up to PANiDA's confusing recollection of facts. The fact that you do not respond to negative customer reviews screams your arrogance and loudly reveals why at any given time - two thirds of the week- spice season GDL is literally empty. Your pricing structure conveys this as well. To be clear- we only gave you another chance over one year later because Tanya your "new employee" seemed so kind and accommodating. We thought - wow they must have a change in staff - that horribly acerbic woman from a year ago is gone! Yay! We thought to place a takeaway order today purely out of convenience - but then my husband and I recognized your shrill, acerbic voice PANiDA. And then your shocking VERBAL ASSault began. Wow, is all I can say. In my years dining with Joel Robuchon, an Anthony Bourdain, Rick Moonen David Kinch et al I've never experienced such a miserable experience. We were just welcomed graciously at Dalida SF where chef owners gave us a beautiful tour of their Presidio Restaurant sending out gorgeous plates of amuse bouche - why because we shared Daniel Humm EMP together. The noodles were thinner than the original thick pad Thai noodles ($17). I definitely prefer the thicker noodles, but overall, it was still flavorful, and the portion was big.
