For the love of duck! I can't believe what I just found! It's like a hidden gem! So, you know how we always had to drive all the way to Alhambra just to get our hands on our favorite Chinese food? Well, guess what? I stumbled upon this place on Yelp, ! I've been around this complex for ages, but I never even noticed it. But now, I'm telling you, it's a must-try! The star of the show - their fried duck! It's absolutely yummers! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I know it might be a bit hesitant to try the place because it's quiet, doesn't look engaging to come in but it's worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They've got some really tasty options too. Parking is a lot, we just call them and pick up the food, so eating there vibe I cannot share a lot. oh well, my fellow Glendale peeps, I highly recommend checking out this place. It's a hidden gem that you won't want to miss.

Finally a legit Chinese restaurant in Glendale! Huge menu, fresh ingredients, great service! Had the steamed chicken dumplings, vegetable tofu soup, orange chicken, and walnut shrimp. Amazingly, that qualified us to get a special house lobster for only $6.99! All of the food was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and made with high quality ingredients. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is clean, there's plenty of free parking, and a kiosk at the for if you want to only order for takeout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back!

This place is absolutely the best Chinese food I have eaten since eating in China Town in San Francisco. So fresh and delicious. The orange chicken is so delicious and also the beef. Everything was sooooooo good.

Service was mediocre. I highly suggest to go to Panda Express and save your $... this is not so Chinese food.

The wings were huge, perfectly seasoned, crispy, and fresh out of the fryer. I'd order them every time. My only small criticism is the pricing. Some dishes are on the expensive side. The Peking Chicken is around $30 - but personally the quality definitely help justify it. Overall, I'd happily come back, especially when I'm craving that chicken. ---------- Quick tip: this might be something worth asking about. I overheard another table request a couple of dishes as half portions, which I thought was a great idea. I'm not sure if it applies to all dishes (they have a huge menu with a lot of options), but it could be worth asking if you're coming with a smaller group or want to try more items without ordering full portions.

The lot was full but I found a spot down the street. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and pointed me in the right direction to the bar, which has very cool artwork on the wall. Our server Garrett was delightful. He was so sweet. We both ordered vodka martinis and shared the Vegetable Pot Stickers. Garrett brought us some crispy wonton strips to munch on while we waited. They were addictive, especially dipped in the plum sauce. The Vegetable Pot Stickers were pan seared. They had a nice texture and the vegetable filling was tasty. Apparently, it was prom night and we enjoyed watching the young ladies walk in dressed in decadent dresses. Our delightful evening ended with a fortune cookie half dipped in chocolate. There's a separate area for a bar with some lounge seating. Not so busy on a Tuesday night, we were sat right away. They have a large menu and prices are a little on the higher side. We started off with some calamari for our appetizers. Light batter, nicely salted, and plenty of jalapeños. For our main dishes we went all out- Mongolian beef Chicken with jalapeños Chloe's shrimp Hunan spicy garlic shrimp Vegetable chow mein All were very tasty but the BEST was the Hunan spicy garlic shrimp. Very flavorful! Must order. They also have these chocolate dipped fortune cookies which is a nice takeaway.

Solid 3.5 (A-Ok)…read more This is a cute restaurant on Foothill, super close to Descanso Gardens. PARKING. There is a huge lot out back. A few spots on the street too. SEATING super comfy space inside with great views of the surrounding mountains. There are plenty of tables for bigger parties to push together. FOOD Lots of options for the vegetarians in your party. You can omit egg for some to be vegan. Adding Gluten to your dish will cost more than meat option? (-1 Star). Tasty dishes. Spice level is very good. Spicy = spicy. The recipes are a little on the sweeter side here. Overall nice flavors and well cooked greens. Blistered cherry tomatoes in Pad Kee Mao were excellent. PORTIONS are pretty small. **This was not a "lunch special". I finished the Thai iced tea in one long sip. (Small glass, filled with ice when tea was done) SERVICE Fantastic. Both servers that came to the table were super friendly and attentive. ** We were the only people in there until we got the check. One other patron was picking up an order to go. PRICE Perfect "date lunch" prices for the portions. The restaurant atmosphere and convenience close to Descanso Gardens makes it a great choice.

I LOVE TOFU SOUP!!!…read more got the beef tofu soup and it was deliciousss. one of our group had burnt rice but the staff were quick to replace it. the spicy cucumber here is so good i ate like 2 plates honestly. i will say is that the spice scale isn't super accurate. i am pretty bad with spice so i got a mild and it was just ... alright... i feel like i was missing a lot of the flavor, not just heat level. my friends who got medium and spicy let me try their soups and they were way better and honestly not that much spicier. so i would say give a higher spice level a try if you want more flavor in your broth. we also ordered a bottle of soju to share and some of the spicy chicken. those were good too!

This place is basic, nothing fancy and there's really no ambiance or special feelings associated with it - it's just an old-looking sit-down and serve establishment. The few people sitting to eat were random; I was there to order to-go. After asking what was the patrons favorite dish(es) the lady quickly pointed out the most expensive items on the menu. Of course she did. My eyes rolled but I was polite and decided to order something I recognized and wouldn't hate myself for in the morning. Chicken Teriyaki Can of coke My bill came to $34.23 Ahem! What? Why does a plate of Chicken Teriyaki cost so much? And why $3 for a can of coke? I just cannot wrap my head around it. This isn't a fancy restaurant at all! In fact, it's as basic as it gets with no ambiance or warmth. I cannot recommend this place at all. The food was pretty poor and nowhere near on par with classy eats that try to reach that $$ figure. Montrose is certainly a place where there are people with money and no taste...looking for reasons to spend it willy-nilly. I thought I took a photo of the plate when I got home. Guess not. Avoid if you aren't made of money and prefer well-prepared meals, not quick, mushy fast-foodish stuff.
