Nope, didn't see any bags for pick up on the counter. Nobody even came in for takeout while we waited there. Seems strange on a Saturday night to wait over an hour for food when the place didn't seem busy at all. Overall, I thought the food was mediocre even though we got it fresh off the wok. This place is only to go. There is no dining in at all. It was open on Christmas. The bathroom was available but lock didn't work properly.

I grew up in La Crescenta and tried Cibo Thai for the first time today - pleasantly surprised. I was craving Tom Yum Soup so I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with tofu and it was delicious - I love lemongrass but it's not for everyone. My friend got the Pad See Ew with chicken which was also yummy! Overall, I'd stop by if you're in the area and craving Thai food. The lady who served us (I believe she's the owner) was the sweetest and gave us recommendations! I would say there aren't many workers so don't dine in if you're in a rush :) The interior was very homey and cute - I would definitely come back to satisfy my cravings. read more

Have had this food a few times now and no consistency. One time it's ok and this last time it was bad. Fried rice had no flavor and chucks of rice stuck together as of old rice sitting in a large pot of rice. Chicken was rough and burnt on certain pieces. Chow main was the same all stuck together and burnt chicken which made the whole plate taste like burnt food. Very disappointed. La Crescenta needs some good food places. read more

We placed a delivery order & one of the dishes was missing. In addition, the portions were very small for the price. The flavor was ok, but there are plenty of other Thai restaurants with better portion sizes who complete the orders accurately. read more

The food is solid Thai food. No complaints. I've eaten here for lunch many times. The one time I came for dinner, I noticed that there is no ambiance. No music playing and no other customers, so we could here the radio from the kitchen. The lighting is pretty stark at night too. But, since the food is so good, I'll keep coming back. read more

This little mom and pop shop does an amazing job. I really didn't expect to find good Thai food in Montrose of all places. Very few Thai places in LA use a high enough wok temperature to put flavor on noodles. These guys do. Cibo beats out a lot of more popular places and the prices are reasonable. Cibo Thai is a little gem that breaks away from the norm of the Honolulu restaurant scene. This place is cozy place with flavors of what I imagine would be Thai's mom's homemade food. I appreciate the authenticity and the hard work of the couple that seem to be the only people that work there. I haven't had any issues when ordering and picking up food, however, I am mindful that it's a mom and pop establishment just like so many of other businesses in the area. I don't have much experience with Thai food but I thought this place made some tasty grub. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and the Tom Yum soup. The Pad Thai had a nice sweet, tangy flavor. Other than the maybe slightly small portions, I had no complaints. The Tom Yum was amazing. It had a strong limey and sour flavor which I absolutely loved. The only problem was that the lemongrass in the soup contained the inedible leaves which are tough with a grass-like texture. The food here was pretty good, and I would visit again for the food, but I would not visit again for the slow service. It seemed like the place was horribly understaffed as it took WAY too long to take my order and for it to come out. The snail pace just ruined the whole experience and I don't think I would like to go through that again. read more

THIS PLACE HURTS MY BELLY!!! I keep telling myself to save some leftovers for later but I can't stop once I start! I have since made the decision to only wear elastic waistbands so my pants can't dig into my waist, which restricts maximum consumption. Unfortunately I'm now paying for it with a food coma! Their pad thai is always good but I love their pad see ew with pork, spicy fried fish and tom yum. I wish I could try their other dishes but I tend to order when I'm really hungry and gravitate to my go tos. It also doesn't help that my food coma gives me amnesia so I forget reminding myself to try other dishes... Ordered the pad kee mao noodles for takeout and they were just okay. Needs more flavor, you can see the light color of the noodles in the photo. Also customer service was bad. I was waiting to pay for my order for a couple of minutes (the lady had gone to the back of the kitchen) which I didn't mind, but then another customer walks in after for a pickup order and the lady proceeds to ignore me when she got back to the front. She considers him first and starts taking his payment when I've been waiting to pay for a few minutes already. The customer apologized to me but the lady was rude and said I had to keep waiting for my food anyways which was very wrong of her. I should have walked out at that point since she hadn't taken my payment yet but I really wanted to give the food a chance. However the food disappointed also. When you pick up your to-go order the containers always look half empty. I've really tried to support Cibo Thai both before and during this pandemic as a small local business for over 5 years but I now feel like I'm overextending my support and not getting any love in return. It would be helpful if Cibo Thai had an online menu, but they don't so I order by looking at the photos of the menu fellow Yelpers have posted online. My most recent order was sad - the Thai combo fried rice with chicken had barely any chicken and no cilantro. The pad thai was dry from not having enough sauce and had very little chicken also. I also ordered the cream cheese wontons which were good - these did not disappoint but my meal cannot survive on wontons alone. There's no other Thai restaurants in the area to amp up the competition and make them step up their game. Cibo Thai will do if you're just seeking to fix a craving but for the long term it might be worth it to go elsewhere. read more
