Place was empty when we got there. My food was a very small portion but it was cooked adequately. My daughter's chicken teriyaki was cold and very dry and tough, mostly char and very little teriyaki, she ate what was edible and left the rest for the trash. Food: we ordered the teriyaki chicken and beef plate and the shrimp and beef plate. Both plates meat were extremely overcooked, the beer tasted like burnt, chicken was dry, and the shrimp was tough. I was shocked since the reviews are so good . How can you mess up beef and shrimp? Best thing on the plate was the gyoza and white rice.. which is pretty sad. Very disappointed with the entire meal. i've been coming here for years and i love the short ribs! we also got the plate combo of chicken, beef, and shrimp and that was really good too the rice did have a little too much teriyaki sauce on it and we had to get extra white rice so maybe you can ask for it with light sauce. it's a small shop with seating and they are always very kind and nice. read more

Terikayi Me is okay. It's a small business compared to the many commercial businesses in Glendale. I had visited here after the gym. I was looking for a healthy meal - and that's how they marketed. The store is not the most glamorous. It does seem like a good hangout for locals however. While I was waiting for food. A group of patrons decided to do karaoke. The staff played music in a large speaker and they started singing. I think the food was relatively simple. There wasn't bells and whistles to it. I had a teriyaki chicken bowl, which was charboiled chicken leg meat dressed in commercial terikayi sauce over rice. It is a step up from Yoshinoya. (looking at the other pictures on Yelp, maybe beef was the way to go) Their credit card miniumum is $10. read more

This place looked promising based on reviews. We were wrong. When we walked in we saw that it seemed they had opened up a wall to expand the sitting /dinning area. A section was divided by a whole bunch of boxes. My husband and I both ordered the beef and chicken combos and got the chicken and rice extra side for our 4 yr old. ($40 total) It took them a long time to get us our food and when we got it: 1. It was cold 2. The meat (both the chicken and beef) was very very tough. Even drowning it in sauce didn't help it. 3. The tempura was so cold it was rock hard and tasted gross. 4. The peanut sauce/dressing was yummy (just about the only thing that was) 5. Teriyaki sauce (not sure if it was the spicy one or the regular one cause we mixed them in a failed attempt for better flavor) was salty. Lastly and for me almost as equally important: They have NO RESTROOM! Our little one (4yo) had to use the RR and upon inquring, my husband was told he was going to have to take her down the street to the hotel and ask to use their restroom. Upon leaving I checked the window thoroughly and these was no sign posted about the lack of restroom but there was no sign. I guess you get what you pay for and even reviews can be misguiding as was the case for us this time around. I'd recommend you keep scrolling or keep walking and go somewhere else. read more
